I am a consistent Yelper and have yelped about this relatively new coffee place, but want to rave even more. How good is it, well they just opened another establishment on SE 12th and Salmon, but this is for the SE Division location. 1. I want my house to decorated like this with wood, terraneums and a high end comfy couch which I am told is from designer in Los Angeles. 2. I want my baristas to all be like this in PDX -down to earth, coffee knowing and smiling. No Portlandia snobbery here. 3. They serve my two favorite local roasters, Coava and Heart, but they also carry something dear to my Michigander heart, "Madcap" coffee from Grand Rapids, Michigan. You must try and take a bag to brew. 4. I never have a problem finding space to work here. 5. The sun comes in through the glass surroundings which is nice for those many not so sunny days in PDX. 6. They have canelles from Frice pastry in PDX. I feel like I have been transported back to France. I had been looking for these since I had them not only in France, but Campinelle in LA. I have found them in PDX!

They just get it! Fantastic People + Amazing Coffee + Contemporary Ambience = Phenomenal Experience. Came here from Washington DC area and was amazed by the Good Coffee folks. Amazing personalities and they reflect that in the coffee they brew. The rich quality, deep taste and invigorating aroma of the Good Coffee bean is Best and far Better than Good. You gotta, have to and must stop by to taste the Portlandish Experience. Personally I feel this equals and exceeds coffee Ive tasted in Johannesburg, Melbourne, Sydney or Qatar.....all packed in a small cup of coffee. I love it every single cup, all the time.

버스타고가다 잘못 내렸는데.. 이 근처에 되게 평점 높은 맛집, 카페가 많은겁니다. 그 중에서도 여기 평점이 높길래 왔는데, maple orange latte 정말 맛있어요.. 방금 Coava coffee 다녀오는 길인데 그곳 카푸치노가 평범하게 느껴질정도..좀 특별하면서도 맛있는 커피를 찾고 계시다면 만족하실거에요.. 직원분들도 귀엽고 친절하시고요

I got a maple orange latte here and it was so good! I dont know if this is an idea that they came up with on their own or if its been done elsewhere too, but it was my first time having one and it was delicious. It came out quickly and was beautifully presented. The staff was very friendly, and the clean, minimalist décor was surprisingly cozy. Great location too - within walking distance of several different restaurants if youd prefer to enjoy your coffee with something other than a pastry.

Welp Good Coffee I have to disagree with you, I dont think you are good I think you are GREAT! For a first time visitor to walk in and get treated so well by everyone working there is much appreciated, everyone was extremely polite and helpful, with great knowledge of the coffee and teas on hand. I had a hazelnut rose latte and some red honey tea thanks to the advice of the barista and it was yum, yum, yum! Great people, coffee and tea, and ambiance!

Auspicious emporium of hot beverages. Nary did I sample the coffee, but instead imbibed a buckwheat tea accompanied by a crumbly delicacy that was both moist and melodiously sweet. Chocolate was a part of this experience, as all grandiose ones should be. Was the establishment aptly named? Theyve set the bar too low for themselves with the humble adjective "good". No matter, they will have my patronage at a future date yet undetermined. Cheers!

I came here on a Saturday morning after an absolutely horrific experience at Black Rock (they gave me the wrong size, then pretended to remake it while actually pouring it into a different cup!), and was delighted. THIS is good coffee, from the bottom up. Its so tempting on a lazy morning to go to the closest place, but I wont be doing that again. Good Coffee has my business.

I cant drive by and not pull over for a cup of coffee. The staff is incredibly kind in a very real way, not just the customer-service-fake-nice sort of way. Good Coffee is a great way to find yourself in a cool Portland coffee shop with a great atmosphere and incredible coffee (roseline! madcap!) without any of the pretentiousness and coffee snob culture.

I love this coffee shop! The interior design is beautiful, and the coffee is carefully crafted. There was a maple and blood orange latte when I went, which was very subtle but delicious. Not too busy as well, and good food! Good place to relax on the couch and read the paper, or study. Everyone who works here seems really friendly.

One of the few shops in Portland open later (7pm). Atmosphere noise level varies but they have couches great for reading or studying, tables great for working individually or with others and outside seating as well. Coffee is great, they dont mess around. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Very well lit as well.

The staff seem extra helpful and personable. The coffee preparation seems to be scientific as in using a scale to measure ingredients. An odd thing I noticed is typing in "good coffee" into Google maps seems find lots of coffee shops instead of this coffee shop. One other thing is this place has good coffee ;)

The space here is bright and beautiful. There are a few different seating options between the tables, outdoor stools, and the comfy couch. They usually have a seasonal latte that tastes great and a spicy chai that is delicious. The staff is friendly and conversational. Its a great place to get some work done.

It takes quite some effort to live up to a name like Good Coffee in such a coffee oriented city. Good Coffee does it though. They rotate their roasts a bit giving lots of variety. Love this place! Everyone who works here genuinely cares about the craft of coffee.

Wonderful coffee, staff, and atmosphere. My friend and I travel to coffee houses throughout PDX and this one got 2 thumbs up. We had a couple of the summer specials, salted honey cortado, and an iced coffee soda with wonderful touch of citrus and sparkling water.

Ive been to hundreds of coffee shops across the country and this ranks among the best. This is one of the best macchiatos Ive had, perfectly extracted espresso with the most beautiful latte art on top. The space itself is fab as well. Amazing buildout!

Had a great Madcap Lake Effect espresso right and a nice convo about Michigan with the barista. Happy they carry Roseline coffee, too! A nice selection of coffee to buy and on bar for out of towners who dont have a day to visit multiple places!

Good Coffee is pretty much what it says it is, the beverages are great the service is awesome and it has an excellent open well lit and beautifully decorated vibe. Only downside is limited seating its pretty hard to find seating on weekends.

Really good, clean coffee shop. Love coming here. Can be busy so dont be surprised if you come here to work and there are not spots open. Thats a good sign of a coffee shop though, right? I hear they have a few other locations open now.

Love the look. They use light or medium roast. Took me back to the 80s! Tool a minute to get used to the taste but I really enjoyed it. My favorite part of the morning was sitting at the outside bar catching up with my friend.

Staff is friendly and fast. Working- and hangout-spaces are set up really well. Just generally a great spot. Theres a lot of whole bean coffee, too, with healthy representation from three different continents.
