Ok so let me start out with Im a experienced fine dining Chef of over 16 years in the biss. I eat here frequently and love there breakfast and lunch. So naturally when I herd they were opening for dinner I was exited to try it. Our server told us the specials one of which was "meat balls with marinara and linguini". No mention of spicy. My wife and I both ordered the special. When we got our food the marinara had the consistence of water not a thick hardy sauce as it should be. The plate was garnished with sriracha hot sauce . I took my first bite and all I could taste was watered down Sriracha. Being that I have acid reflux disease this instantly caused me pain. When my server came to see how I was doing I explained my and my wifes discontentment with our meal. He asked if we would like to send it back or have something else . I politely declined (as I and anyone in the business knows better). When it came time to pay they wanted me to pay for one of the entrees. I told him we both ate one meatball and that we would pay for our apps and drinks but we didnt want to pay for the entrees we didnt enjoy or eat. At this point the Chef came out of the kitchen with a not so happy look on his face and asked if there was a problem. Not wanting to cause a seen or embarrass him I just looked him in the eye and told him no. Our server was vary polite and did his job well. I left him a 25% tip and left . I hope this is not a new pattern forming at a restaurant that I used to enjoy . Maybe next time things will be different .

We went there for breakfast at an unfortunately very busy time. We waited about 20 minutes to even be asked for coffee and water. We were so squished in with people all around us it was distracting. They squished a 4 person table with 7 people right behind my boyfriend and he could barely move even move his chair. So we finally ordered after about 40 minutes, then we decided it was just too much and too nice outside to wait any longer all cramped up in there, so we asked for it to be packed up to go. After 20 more minutes we finally got out of there. I will say the place is clean, bright and cheary and the waitress was VERY nice considering they were so busy. The food was excellent, im giving them the benefit of the doubt. :)

Hands down, this is the best place to eat in Pacific City. Cuisine is imaginative but not in the sense of microscopic pickled trout with horseradish garnished with a sprig of Tuscany wort-weed on large plate ornamented with squiggle of yellowish goop. Each deceptively simple dish is truly mouth-watering with absolutely fresh ingredients and recipes that complement, not overwhelm, them. Lots of vegetarian dishes but lots that are not, including seafood brought in fresh from the local fishing boats. I have been coming to the Grateful Bread for at least 15 years now, and the care they take with each meal is as meticulous as the day they opened.

Theyve recently added a dinner to their offerings. Ive always enjoyed eating breakfast there and their baked goods are totally amazing. The thing to know about this place is that they make everything they serve fresh onsite up to and including the salad dressing. It really is excellent. If you lolly gag in the mornings you will be rewarded with long lines (in the summer tourist season ), It is soooo worth it though. The owners and staff are friendly and amazing people. Oh, try that chocolate chunk hazelnut scone. Yum yum.

Very good and tasty food. dont expect anything fancy or fine cuisine though. Naturally wide selection of freshly baked sweet goodiesThe fact that it is a bakery gives it a cozy charme. It has large wall windows which makes it feel very nice to be in the restaurant. Almost everything is vegetarian with the exception of 3-4 meals that have fish/turkey/ground beef. The original owners of the place were vegetarians so new owners preserved the menu I guess. They have organic teas as which we liked

The Grateful Bread is an amazing local restaurant! They catered our wedding for us and were extremely easy to work with and very accommodating to meet our wants and needs. Both Robyn and Aurelian were great to work with and really cared that we were happy with the menu. On the night of our wedding everything was flawless, the food, the staff and the flowers! People are still raving about the food and many made sure to have breakfast or lunch here throughout the weekend of our wedding.

We have visited Pacific City 3 times in our RV travels and have eaten here 3 times. The food (breakfast) has been excellent each time. Coffee is great and the biscuits taste like what my mom made from scratch a long, long time ago. Very attentive waiters. Took home a pizza, which at first I didnt like, but it grew on me. Pizza crust was similar to the biscuit consistency and taste. Very good. Other good pastries also (scones and pies).

Best Fish Tacos I EVER had. One of the best places to stop in for a sandwich on a warm day and or a cup of delicious soup on a cold and clammy day. I highly recommend that you stop in if you are in the area. You also get a great view from your seat. I will return next time I am up that way. Thank you for a GREAT Taco and soup folks! cheers!!!

This lovely little bakery/restaurant is now open for dinner Thursday-Sunday and its absolutely delicious! Steak, chicken pasta, delicious tuna, with outstanding salads and sides like Mac-n-cheese and fantastic rice pilaf - you simply cant go wrong. And the wait staff is actually having FUN. What a great addition to our little beach town.

This iconic cafe is an exceptional value. They have excellent tasting, high-quality food for mid-range prices. The scones are the best weve had. The biscuits are also the best weve had (better than Pine State Biscuits which are excellent in their own right). We ate there both mornings of our stay in Pacific City.

I dont want to tell people about it because itll make it more busy when I go, but its too awesome. If your passing through youll be happy you stopped. The musically inspired name and menu items are fun. I love rich foods that arent heavy, or oily/greasy. These guys are the best.
