These guys didnt even have a toaster when I started coming here about 20 years ago. They are probably a little smaller and denser than the bagels you are used to, but they pack a lot of flavor. If you dont like copious cream cheese ask for light. Some of my favorite breakfasts are those I learned from coming here like the Tom Onion, with plenty of black pepper and Tapatio or Cholula. Try the Veggie Delight with Larrupin Mustard Dill sauce! Good coffee and Mexican Hot Chocolate too. Very popular, there might be a line, its a good sign!

My experience was actually at the mini store on the HSU campus. I dont know if the three guys working in there today on 3-10-15 are on drugs or what, but they took my order (plain bagel with cream cheese (couldnt get much simpler)), placed it in the toaster, and then let it sit there until it was cold. There was no line. There were three employees in a 10 sq. ft. area. they stared off into nowhere for 15 minutes as my bagel sat there untill i finally gave up and left. Horrible customer service. Totally unprofessional.

I have always enjoyed eating here, but the last three times have been really awful. This last time my bagel wasnt what I asked for, time before I didnt get a bagel at all because they forgot to make mine, and I couldnt wait any longer. The time before that the egg was so overcooked that I had to trash it. Not sure what is going on, but this was my last time going there. Shame that such a great place will loose touch with what made it such a great place, the food!

Los Bagels is an Arcata icon, all the more impressive because they have vegan-friendly options. They take bagels to a level far beyond cream cheese. I mistakenly bought my bagel to go, and the mountain of goodies on top of it barely made it to the car without avalanching. Thank goodness my husband was driving. Take the one block detour off of the plaza and visit this place. Youll see why the lines are long and the hype is there.

Not much of a fan when it comes to bagels but the bagels we had were yummy! Customer service is exceptional! Thank you for your friendliness and warm atmosphere! This was our last stop before leaving Arcata and I must say it was worth it! A little pricey but hey its a business, so I didnt mind paying a little more than usual for a bagel!! Definitely will be back if Im ever in town again!!

Super friendly staff. Very relaxed atmosphere with outdoor seating as well as the indoor seating being in a sun-room-type-space. They have a single gluten free bagel, but not much else thats GF. Vegetarian and vegan options are decent, though. Their hot drinks - tea, coffee, etc - are very excellent. Plus theyre directly across the street from the Arcata Scoop ice cream shop!

Ive made this review 1star so people read it. The food is wonderful at LB but be careful there with you $$... Count your change carefully at the Arcata store, also make sure you are charged the correct amount....and make sure you do so at the counter. Management needs to keep a better eye on what goes on there.

I love that this place has gluten free options, and a vegan spread! I am ecstatic over all of their seafood! They have very unique bagel toppings. My only complaint is the cost, especially since the price of guacamole has risen, as well. But it is quite the treat when Im able to go!

If you want a bagel that tastes like a bagel try the new bagel shop in eureka at redwood acres called Frankies New York style bagels... los bagels is only as popular as it is because there are no other bagel places... also the homemade cream cheese is delicious at Frankies !

One of the only places in Arcata for quick buy and go breakfast. Wide selection on bagels and toppings. They also have a lot of to go breads, scones, and other baked goods. They carry goods from a lot of local businesses, so you can make your own delicious bagels at home!

Los Bagels has made everyone into a bagel fan. Daily made fresh bagels along with pastries make this a perfect stop for on the go breakfast, or a quick sit down lunch and coffee break. They close early, so make it there before they close early afternoon.

Ive ever had. Im a huge fan of there almost sourdough-like bagels. Their bagel sandwiches are amazing too, especially the Veggie Delight. Dont skimp on the "slug slime" either -- its delicious!

When I first got to Arcata I really didnt like Los Bagels and didnt understand why it was so popular. It grew on me. Plus, getting a bagel with Larrupin on the side is sooooooo good.

Los Bagels has no idea how to make real bagels, and they market their rock hard pieces of dough as bagels. Their other stuff is mediocre at best, nothing compared to Brio Cafe.
