Man oh man, I had such high hopes for this place. Its very close to our home and seemed healthy enough. This Camelback/20th St is a nightmare to eat breakfast unless you want to wait an hour. Places like "Snooze", "The Henry", "Daily Dose"...all nearby, but packed all the time for breakfast. Anyways, the first time my wife and went into Corner Bakery, it was just opened, and we immediately loved the decor. It has a "Disneyland" feel to it. With all the baked goods on every shelf and balloons too. Neat. I liked it. My heart was saying "yes this is awesome". I got a coffee. Delicious. I was starting to get excited that we found a new cool place. Then we got our food. Hopes dashed. Smashed on the sharp rocks of hope. The food here is edible. Thats it. Edible. It looks like its supposed to, but thats where the similarity to good food ends. Our eggs were Cold. Not cold like cooling off, but cold like been sitting out for an hour cold. The bacon, cold. Chewy. The potatoes, cold. Chewy. The pancakes, cold. And I found that my heart too was growing cold. What a disappointment. The pancakes come from a shelf mix. Sacrilege! I was crushed, but convinced myself that this was a fluke. So, we went back. TWO more times. Over the course of three weeks. More of the same. We tried the panini, the breakfasts, the cookies, the pastries, the soup, the...all of it. Same same same. Cold, bland, food. Dry cookies and pastries that are overcooked and taste like...nothing. Just no attention at all to what is really tasty in this world. I may as well have been eating a pillow. Or Military rations on Mars. Or anything else that tastes like nothing in particular. I cannot in good conscience ever go back to his place and give them any more of my money in exchange for what they are selling. Which leads me to my final point. This place is glaringly corporate, thats easy to spot. None of this food is made on site. The eggs come from a box shipped from somewhere far away. Try asking for overeasy. NO. The brownies and baked goods are baked somewhere far away and shipped in, frozen. Maybe thats why those cookies are so darn brittle and dry. Come on man. You put your restaurant smack dab in the Biltmore. It even says "Biltmore" on the your sign. You think for one minute the people of this area are going to settle for this "Corporate taco bell everything is consistent tastes the same from coast to coast feed the masses" fast food? Stop by anytime. You will see more employees milling around than customers. The employees spend their time chit chatting with one another, gossiping, and making repeated visits to your table asking senseless questions. Lord knows theyre not baking anything, why are there so many of them? Why is the food so cold? Why does it take so long? You have 15 or more people on the clock and there are 13 people in this restaurant. I counted them. How can it take 20 minutes to deliver a cold plate of food? What are you doing? Waiting for it to get cold before you bring it out? Im giving this place 2 stars instead of one, based on nothing more than the coffee. The coffee is very good. If you just want some good coffee, swing by. Take 20 minutes waiting in line if you can stand it. Survey the scene. Youll agree with everything Ive written.

Every time I went to The Corner Bakery Café to order something simple, I experience a long wait time. Today, I ordered a berry smoothie, and after waiting for 20 minutes, I went to the counter to ask how much longer I must wait. The lady at the counter promptly walked over to the blender and poured my already made smoothie into a cup. So it was just sitting on the counter for 20 minutes waiting to be served. Needless to say, it was more juice than smoothie. Another time I ordered a brownie, I waited 15 minutes (assuming others came before me, I didnt mind waiting) and they delivered me a frozen brownie saying "give it about 10 minutes before eating, its still a little frozen." I also asked if I could have over easy eggs instead of scrambled eggs on one of the menu items and was told it was impossible because the eggs they serve are not fresh, but from a box. All in all, I will no longer be giving this place my business.

Food was mediocre at best - I had the Santa Fe Salad and Roasted Tomato Basil soup. The salad made with shredded iceberg lettuce and Ive honestly enjoyed a prepackaged Santa Fe salad from Costco for a fraction of the cost - this one was just "ok". The soup was a little bit better, but nothing to write home about. The thing that most upset me was the service when ordering at the cashier - I was trying to ask a question about the sizes of the salads and he rudely stated "Thats ok, take your time I only have a line going out the door". Mind you, I hadnt even been standing in front of him for more than 5 seconds. If I hadnt been with a group of friends, I wouldnt have even ordered food after being treated so rudely. I probably wont be returning.

I LOVE Panera, but figured I would try this place, especially since it was across the street from my hotel, but Im so disappointed that I did... First thing, any "To-go" order should automatically have plasticware and napkins, in my opinion, and at the very least they should ask when you pick up your food if you need some. This restaurant did neither of those things.... how am I supposed to eat soup without a spoon?! Secondly, my salad was not fresh. The salad was starting to turn colors.... I wish I could upload a photo. Also, our panini sand which was stone cold. Needless to say, Ill stick with my panera from now on.

Closes at 6pm not 8pm as listed here. Ordering online delays your order from 30 to 45 minutes; if you order anytime between _:00-_:14 your order is ready at _:45. Sometimes it is ready early and gets cold, even if you pick up at the exact time it tells you to. Many times I have gone to pick up my order only to find they havent started on it yet and I have to wait another 15 minutes past the 45 minutes since I ordered. Half of the time my order is wrong or missing something. I still give it 3 stars because I enjoy the food and the convenience of it being next to my work, I just really wish it was more organized.

This place is joke I am amazed it has managed to stay open for so long. Took 20 minutes to make a tuna sandwich during slow hours, there was like 10 small chips in the chip bag, and it was almost $11 dollars. While I was eating I was surrounded by several tables that had not been cleaned off for over an hour. I used to come here for sandwiches a few years ago when I lived across the street. Only the food was cheaper and the service was better. Kinda disappointed.

I was there after a long day training, thought drove all the way down there just to get the salad I like (we had 1 in tucson, and it was great service) before I head back to tucson. It was Saturday, they show they close at 6pm. I was there 5.15pm. They already closed!! Why you show your business until 6pm?? If your business is open until.6pm. Then it should not close that early. Wasted my 30mins drive for nothing..
