Ive been coming here for over a year, but they recently changed their menu and now I love it even more. The Tropicals 10 oz. NY Strip is now my favorite steak in Tulsa. You can get a strip elsewhere in Tulsa cooked just as perfectly as they do at The Tropical, but what you cant get anywhere else is their house-made Thai steak sauce that takes this already delicious meal over the top. A generous portion of steamed vegetables and corn cakes comes with it, as does a large portion of white rice--perfect for clearing the palate between bites or put some steak sauce on the rice and enjoy the flavor some more. The decor is beautiful and I especially enjoy being able to have a conversation without raising my voice to be heard over loud music and/or noisy customers (a la Logans or Texas Roadhouse). I cannot recommend The Tropical highly enough. 6 out of 5 stars.

A secret gem of a restaurant. The only bad thing about this restaurant is that its kind of hidden off Memorial so you dont see it right away. As soon as you walk in, the atmosphere is clean, elegant, and impressive. It looked to have a well stocked and complete bar selection, but I was only there for lunch so no drinks for us. As for the food, fantastic! A great variety of food on the menu with a really well priced lunch menu and portion sizes that leave you full and happy. Service was decent. They take your order and stay out of your way, dont expect an overly doting wait staff. Thats not a criticism but just setting the right expectations. They take their spicy level seriously so for people that enjoy decent spiciness i recommend a 3 star for your first time. If you like Asian cuisine you must give this place a shot.

Fresh, tasty entrees loaded with plenty of veggies and fresh ingredients. This places has something for everyone, especially those vegetarians out there because you dont have to eat meat as they have veggie and tofu options. Staff is experienced and friendly. Food comes out in a timely manner. Thai fusion is what youll get, look elsewhere if looking for traditional Thai food. Open later than many Tulsa restaurants. Meals range from $14-21 but tend to be on the higher end of that range. Recommend.

Wife and I visiting the son and did a quick search for a lunch spot near his work and found this place. Kinda tucked away and out of sight but am I glad we found it! Lettuce wrap appetizer is a must and their red sauce in the squirt bottle is addictive. Lunch prices were reasonable, dining area was spacious and very nice. Service was excellent. Wish I had one in my home town :(

Delicious food and great service! We are not from Tulsa, and after seeking three different opinions on where to get a nice dinner, I am so glad and thankful that The Tropical was recommended. Flavors were rich, our server was very helpful in explaining menu items, and I think pricing was very fair for a nice dinner date with my wife. Would definitely come back to try more!

Went there at lunch time. Great food but Service was bad. Still tipped 30% like I normally do. After I paid and left the tip they turned the whe Resturant lights off while we were still sitting there. I know they close from2 pm to 5 pm. But that was just so rude. They could come to me and tell me they were about to close. Very bad service. I will not go there again.

This place specializes in juices. Since Im not a juice person, I cant speak to that but I will say that their selection of different juices is VERY impressive. The quality of their food is excellent. The ambiance here is pretty bare but if you dont care about that (or youre carrying out) then this is a very good place to go.

The food is terrific. There are a handful of familiar items from Lanna Thai. I find that environment and service (and portion size, so I guess value for money) is a bit better at Lanna Thai. But if you dont live out south and desire to not go to 71st & Memorial area for your Thai fix, The Tropical is a great choice.

Delicious food. If you like hot food, this is your place: it goes from 0 (not hot) to 5 (you will die xD). 2 is more than enough for me. Big portions and really friendly staff. The place is big so you will not have any problems to find a sit. Price is ok, not cheap but not expensive either.

Great Thai food and very friendly staff. Mild can still mean spicy for folks who are less into the heat so be sure to test the waters unless you like things hot- I love it. At lunch it can get a little short staffed from time to time but I keep coming back for the great food and service.

This place is great for vegetarians. I love the fusion style food, and almost any dish can be made vegetarian or vegan (They can remove egg and fish sauce from the pad Thai even!). The staff are always friendly and accommodating, and the drinks are top notch!

Very yummy if you like Thai red or green curry dishes. They actually served spicy to me on the first try, which is a first for me (Im white). Large portions, quality ingredients, made from scratch. Only negative is that service was a little slow.

The food is absolutely unbelievable. Had the lettuce wrap appetizer and the eggplant sweet basil dish. Tons of vegan options, super friendly service. Amazingly delicious! Will absolutely eat here again if we get the chance when passing through.

Some of the best Thai Ive had, and definitely the best in Tulsa! Every dish is made to order, and everything is super fresh. I like it spicy, and they do it well! Ill be coming back here every time Im in Tulsa, probably more than once!

Amazing thai food, heard the owners for tropical and Lana Thai are the same. So i kind of get the exact same taste in dishes. Decent pricing during lunch but little expensive for dinner. They usually take little longer to prepare food.

Incredible service! Much of the food is grown on site. We had three different dishes and two appetizers and all were incredible. Great spot for a date night, with prices making it affordable for any random weeknight.

The staff got our order wrong twice. They gave me the incorrect change when I paid my bill. The curry was incorrectly made. Overall if you want to drink it its the place to go but for the food I suggest somewhere else.

Wonderful hidden little thai vegetable garden oasis with a new wave fusion eclectic menu. From our same friends at lanna thai restaurant. Not recommended for cheap Charlies our those who dont enjoy something different.

Love this place for lunch. Have tried almost everything on the lunch menu and can honestly recommend anything! Just be sure to be aware of how hot the dishes can be. Order on the low end if you dont like spicy.

This is the absolute best restaurant in Tulsa. The fried Calamari is divine. I have never eaten a better Pad Thai in my life. The Pad See Yu is divine... oh, I need this in my life once a month... WONDERFUL
