I used to love going to this place every Wednesday night up until two weeks ago. I always order the Tina Special, which is not cheap, and this night I also ordered an order of rice. My husband and I both shared the rice. He had already quit eating, but I was just about finished with the rice when I noticed a sauteed fly in the rice!!! I called the waitress over to the table and told her we had a problem, that we had a bug in our food, and she quickly grabbed the plate and took off. I am sure they are trained to remove the evidence as quickly as possible. Could have kicked myself for not taking a picture first. Anyway, she said she was going to go tell the manager and a few long minutes later, she comes back to the table and said they were going to ONLY comp the rice. I told her no I wanted my whole meal comped, and she said she would get the manager. The manager came over and had the nerve to ask how everything was! I told her I wanted my entire ticket comped because I was now very nauseous and could not finish my food. I had only eaten 1/3 of the $18 dollar plate I got, and she said she couldnt do that bc I had already eaten some of it. I told her again I wanted the entire ticket comped and she had the audacity to say to me, "I cant do that because flies are common in a restaurant and there is nothing they can do about it!!!" I was floored! I told her I wanted to speak to the owner and she said he wasnt in and that he would tell her the same thing because it has happened before and that is how he said to handle it. I guess flies are common there. Seriously people! Beware! If they dont care enough about a regular customer anymore than that, they dont deserve to be in business. Flies are common!!!! I have never heard of such! Especially not cooked in your food!

Judging from the crowd ..on a Thursday night.. and the reviews this place received I expected much better than what was received. I think I will give this place at least one more try, maybe it was an off day for them IDK. My server was ok at first after taking our appetizer and drink order I didnt see him again until our appetizer had been delivered..about 10 minutes. When he did come back to see us and take our order we got the Cajun Chicken Fried Rice and Green Beans for my wife and for myself the Angels on Horses or whatever it was called its Shrimp wrapped with oyster and bacon. plus the fried rice and the green beans. When our food arrived it was cool the green beans were undercooked and way over seasoned. My Wifes chicken was dry. My shrimp was cool it tasted old the oyster was dried out and had a rubbery taste to it as well as my green beans being under cooked. Im not talking super picky either Im saying these things were basically raw with melted garlic and butter on the. The fried rice was flavorless. I have to say that I am highly disappointed with the entree. The appetizer was really tasty we had the chicken quesadilla. I think it was just an off day I think I will give them at least one more try but I have few other cajun seafood places that I absolutely love and has never failed well see

My friends and I usually try diffrent eateries around houston when today we found ourselves at the Blue Water Seafood least to say we could have spent better time elsewhere....first our service was pretty much nonexistent we were ignored water didnt come out til bout 30 mins of waiting OUR service was very bad not to mention the food its bad when the food we go so far to prepare taste so bad my aligator was fried too hard some pieces were white and fishy inside and the calamari took me so many chews to get it down that we sent it back I quess thats why we were left at table without assistance the whole while we were there ....we replaced it with a seafood platter deal it was no better the shrimp, crawfish and crab taste like it was in krogers freezer for a while ...we tried on the way out to voice our concerns as we stood passing our check to the acting manager cause no one came back to take our money..she said and I quote"we aint worried about it..we are fine with it if we want to talk some one else we can come back in the morning...have a nice day" we stood stunned.. Needless to say we left with the impression that this company obviously dont care about customer relations or professionalism

I just want to say that I am surprised by some of the negative reviews. There are 3 locations and I wonder if the negative reviews pertain to the other locations? Anyhow, I took my bf here for fathers day. It was our first time. At first we were a little to unsure because the appearance of the building, but I think seafood shack was what they were going for. Anyhow, the place is really small in the inside, it probably seats no more than 30-40 people and then they have a nice outside patio with chairs and tables and fans. I liked our waitress and loved our food.....it was the freshest seafood I have ever had in Texas. I had fried tilpia, fried colossal shrimp, two hush puppies, 3 boudain balls, and onion rings and everything on my plate tasted delicious. I cant wait to go again for my birthday. My bf had the fishermans platter and he was satisfied with his food as well. Also, all of the waiters/waitresses offered assistance whenever they walked passed. I felt really welcomed. Maybe Sundays are better days to go then on Thursdays....possibly a better staff and cook.

I went here on Thursday during lunch and my waitress Robbie took our order. I ordered the gumbo and stuffed avocado. Of course when we got our food everything was right except she gave me stuffed jalapenos instead of the avocado. I informed her that it was not what I ordered and that I ordered the avocado and she said rudely "well that will take awhile." Actually if she would have gotten it right to begin with it would have been out already. I was disappointed with her rude attitude that I decided against getting the avocado and just ate the gumbo. When you get the order wrong maybe you should be very apologetic and say you will have it right out instead of being. I have never been so irritated here in my life! The gumbo was amazing but the service was horrible and they need to hire people who actually have good people skills.

If you crawled out of bed and went straight here, you would be over dressed! This place is very casual dining and the food is off the charts with flavor. The grilled snapper and salmon is very tasty and takes up most of the plate (Texas size portions). The tend to cater to adults, if you have kids, not sure if you would bring them here at night (day ok). There is even out door dining, but I find the service better inside. It is in sort of a strange shopping center location with mystery businesses around it. But if you can look past all that, you will love the food. The service varies, most of the time the teenagers do a great job (gumbo ok, they need to work on that dish only!) Parking is usually nightmare here. If you drive a large car/truck good luck trying to get out of this place.
