I first went to Tong Tongs in the early 90s. It was actually the first time I tried Chinese food. It has always been my favorite Chinese food until recently... I took my kids for the first time a few months ago and again tonight. We walked away very disappointed again tonight. The restaurant used to be packed, the past 4 times it was just us and one other couple. That says a lot considering you used to have a wait before you were seated. I was told that I could not have chicken fried rice with my combination even if I paid more?? If a restaurant has it on the menu I should be able to get it especially if I said I would pay more.. Also seeing that I ordered it that way every time I ate there and paid $3.00 more for my meal. Tonight was different, my waitress said no I could never have gotten it that way because they dont do that.... I tried to explain that yes I have gotten it that way for the past 25 yrs... Tonight was the first time I didnt get it and it will be my last. I have never wrote a review for any restaurant ever, I wish I was giving a positive one but maybe the owner will read this and try to fix some of the problems that the old Tong Tongs never had, for starters how about the customer is always right no matter what... Thanks for the past 25+ years TongTongs... Its so sad to see such a great restaurant go down hill like that, Im sure that wasnt the original owners dream for this place

Ive been looking for higher-quality takeout as I havent found any in the area that Ive been satisfied with, and figured because of the high ratings that this would be a good place to try. I was definitely wrong. I ordered a serving of dumplings and chicken lo mein, which is what I always order so its pretty easy to compare quality. I would have to say that this is some of the worst Chinese food Ive had in a long time. The lo mein was the worst by far; the chicken was completely unseasoned and was utterly bland, the noodles were unimpressive and also pretty tasteless. No joke, it tasted like chicken noodle soup thrown in a wok with vegetables. The dumplings were fairly okay, and were really what brought this up from a one-star, but I have frozen dumplings in my freezer that probably would have tasted better. Overall, really disappointing and theyre unfortunately on my list to not order from again.

My father David started Tong-Tong over 30 years ago with the desire to bring great-tasting Chinese food to the people of Stow and Hudson. We were the first Chinese restaurant in the area and still remain in the same location from the day we first opened our doors. Dad sadly passed away in 1992, but my mom Wendy has worked very hard to make sure nothing has changed from the quality of our egg rolls to the generous portions of our freshly prepared meals. I personally want to thank all our customers, especially our longtime friends that travel far and wide to come back, for being our guests in my 2nd home. I know I wouldnt be where I am today without this restaurant and I really appreciate all your support and your patronage.

My family and I always went to this restaurant in the late 80s,early 90s and it was the best. The owner was a very nice gentleman and made us feel like family. I moved to Cleveland and stopped going. I just moved back and saw that Tong Tong was still there so we decided to try it again. Was sad to hear the owner had passed away. Went back 3 times and the food was terrible every time. Sauces flavorless and watery, eggrolls were small and days old. The eggrolls were my favorite in the past. Won ton needs some bok choy. Woman who runs the place is rude and is obviously cutting costs and her customers also.I will never go back and if you like this place you have no idea how good it used to be.

This was unquestionably the worst Chinese food I have had since the dining halls in college. My wife wants me to rate it one star. The crab Rangoon was small and hard with no puffiness to the skin whatsoever. The pot stickers were thick, doughy and flavorless. The entrees were inedible, we both left without boxes after making a valiant effort to push the food around our plates politely. Even the mountain dew was off somehow. The star is for the wait staff, which was efficient enough

For the past 10 years, whenever we decide on Chinese we always go to Tong-Tong. Every meal has been excellent - fresh, crisp vegetables, perfectly prepared meat and seafood entrees, the Won-Ton soup is packed to the top with eat and dumplings, and the egg rolls are superb - crisp, fresh and delicious. Also they offer a number of specialty dishes worth checking-out. If you are in the area you probably already know how good Tong-Tong is; if you are not, it is definitely worth the drive.

This is by far the best Chinese restaurant I have been to. Discovered it last night and loved the food. I am a vegetarian and sensitive to MSG. All the Chinese restaurants I have been to so far always caused me issues after I eat there. NOT this place !! Excellent food and a very well balanced flavor. Loved it so much went back there again today and tried a different dish and again totally awesome food ! Definitely will be back. I highly recommend this place.

O out of 5 stars. Paid almost 30 dollars for 2 meals for take out. The dinners were just breaded chicken that came with whatever sauce you ordered. The lo mein looked like dollar store microwave nooodles and tasted even worste. Crab Rangoon was the worste I have tasted. Was very disappointed and sad I wasted money. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

Very good food. Dining in however isnt a suit and tie type of place. Still, the atmosphere inside is cozy with a very quiet atmosphere. Gen Tso Chicken Spicy is very, very good. Egg rolls are also of high quality. Ive ordered lunch here for takeout many times and have never ben disappointed with my meal. Highly recommended.

This has been my favorite restaurant since childhood and I still enjoy it today. The sit down and carry out is very good. They actually make a lot of their sauces in the kitchen! My favorite is the dipping sauce for the egg rolls. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The people are nice but I dont think the food is worth the money. When you order out the food isnt but together. The general Tso sauce taste like BBQ sauce and the fried rice had no flavor.

Not traditional Chinese food, its the same name, but cooked in a different fashion. The taste is okay, but not great. Decent portion sizes.
