This is by far my favourite Chinese place. I get food from here very often and unlike many of these low-raters are claiming, the food has never been over or under cooked, and the prices are fantastic, since one $10 meal will last you until the next day. Ive never received poor customer service here either, although none of them speak fully fluent English, so you have to take the effort yourself not to speak to them as though they speak English fluently, and if you do try that, its your own fault if they dont give you the right sauce or whatever. They arent required to speak fluent English considering they brought their family-owned business here from a different country, and they speak enough to give you the exact food youre asking for. Anyway, the food is great, the prices are lower than youll pay for any equal amount of food elsewhere, the service is amazing, and I have to note, the inside of the building is beautiful, even if it is a little shabby. The shabbiness gives it a unique sort of vibe to it, and thats pretty amazing. Final note to everyone saying they probably spit in your food, if you order there or order when theyre busy, when you go in the first thing you see is the kitchen. The entire kitchen. They would literally have to spit in your food in front of you, and like you wouldnt see that. Stop lying on the internet, none of you were ever even really worried about that.

Have you ever been to a restaurant where the food wasnt that great and the service kind of sucked but it seemed to be a part of the fabric of the neighborhood nonetheless? That describes Platinum Dragon in Highland Square to a T. The food is okay - not really good or bad, just standard Chinese take out. The service sucks. They always seem to be having some important conversation in Chinese on the phone when you come in and try to order and then look at you like youre inconveniencing them by interrupting their call. They eye your credit card suspiciously when you pay. The tables are sticky and grimy and the bathrooms are FOR CUSTOMERS ONLY. With all that, what can I say, you cant spend much time in Highland Square without eating there. It just sucks you in. The quirks are what make it what it is, and eventually you figure out that is just how the restaurant works and amuse yourself with it. Its almost an antidote to fake chain restaurant friendliness. Try it, youll hate/love it!

My family orders from here regularly. We feed about six of us. The last time we ordered it was like 10-15 mins late. This time we had a smaller order then normal, a very simple order. I was quoted 45 mins to an hr. It was over 45 mins late, I even called when it was 25 mins late and was told it was on the way we live 2 miles away we waited for an additional 20 mins after the phone call. Our food was luke warm, I called and complained I was told by the person who answered the phone and someone else that came on the phone im assuming the owner that I am wrong, my food isnt cold. It didnt take 45 mins that they always say 45 mins to an hr to make, that im wrong. I tried explaining a bunch of times it was an additional 45 mins from the time I was quoted. I wasnt asking for any free items I was simply trying to tell them so they can fix the issue. He was very rude to me and argued. Wont be going back.

7:10 on a Sunday night shouldnt be a key delivery time, but waited for 75 minutes before calling to check on the progress of one order of Kung Po Shrimp and two egg rolls. The person answering my call made me feel like I was inconveniencing him by calling, then dismissively told me itd be along in ANOTHER 15-20 minutes. The delivery driver finally arrived at my house (under two miles away) at 8:43 with no apologies or considerations for my wait, charged me full price, and looked at me stunned when I didnt tip him. The food was luke-warm and they failed to include any mustard or duck sauce, only providing 2 packets of soy sauce. An hour and a half for mediocre food is unacceptable and Id recommend anyone who will listen away from the Platinum Dragon.

I called in at 8:45 and ordered knowing my girlfriend would not be picking up until around 9:30. I figured this would be okay because there hours said they close at 9 on this particular night. To my surprise I received a phone call before 9 asking when we would pick up. I described the situation and they said okay. But after about 4 calls I got a distraught lady yelling at me to pick up my food, she was very upset, like livid, I could not believe she would treat a customer like that who has been respectful to here. That behavior was very unprofessional. My advice is to update your hours and treat customers politely, like a civilized person. Because of this I will never order from you again and I look forward to someone else filling this lot.

Last night was the last straw for me with platinum Dragon! Firstly their customer service is so rude and terrible! Secondly I have tried to give this place a couple of chances. The first time I ordered General two chicken but It was over fried. And the other two times after that same story. Then last night I was in there ordering and everything rubbed me the wrong way! First he was rude as usual! Then he was eating and licking his fingers and handling food! Then they really struck out with me when I saw 3 roaches! Looks like their place is just as disgusting as these peoples attitudes! Chins place is wayy better and I will never ever in life go back to platinum Dragon and give these rude people my hard earned money!!!

The food was awful! Our fried wontons were so hard, they were practically inedible. The egg rolls were tasteless and filled with nothing but cabbage. The fried rice only tasted of frying oil. My boyfriends sweet-and-sour chicken was tasteless and chewy. I got the pork with mushrooms, which actually wasnt terrible, but the sauce was definitely too salty. My boyfriend and I eat take-out Chinese food frequently, but we both had serious stomach discomfort after our meal from Platinum Dragon. We only tried the place because we had to drop something off at the library across the street, and we wont be returning. Well stick with our regular Chinese place in Cuyahoga Falls on the other side of where we live.

I was interested in trying out a new Chinese delivery place today. I stumbled upon Platinum Dragon and read the reviews. I will say that overall today I had great experience. I had a newer employee today who was nothing but kind and patient. He also ended up being my delivery driver. The food, i ordered two large sweet and sour chickens tasted just like I expected; crunchy out side, white meat chicken inside with an abundance of sauce. The delivery was on time, and all my food was fresh and hot off out of the kitchen. My experience was different than what many of the reviews hinted towards. I am giving this a 4 star for meeting expectations but not exceeding and amazing me. Will try again!
