We ate at this eatery yesterday. What a disappointment! Unfortunately I didnt check the Yelp reviews prior to eating here. Almost all the other reviewers said tourist trap, and theyre right. $12+ per person is outrageous! There was a sign out front saying "someone on yelp said this was the best Reuben theyve ever had." I read all 20 reviews and nowhere did anyone say that. This was all after I trusted that sign an ordered the Reuben. What a mistake that was. I only could eat a little less than half the sandwich. I actually got physically ill from eating it. The waitress was nice but seemingly rushed. She offered to bring me something else. I decided to try a grilled cheese. How can you mess that up? Was I ever wrong. While better than the Reuben, I could only eat three bites as the previous plate was starting to overcome my stomach. The manager came to the table to see the problem, and how rude! I felt like I was being questioned by the police after robbing a bank! She said nobody has ever complained about the Reuben but after reading the reviews, I cant imagine thats true. Worst of all, she was planning on charging me for both meals! She eventually charged me only half price for the second meal. I would NEVER stop here if you have a brain and eyes and can spot another place. We ate at topsy turvy earlier in the day and that was delicious, but thats another review. Overall I highly recommend avoiding hooligans at all costs. Your wallet and stomach will thank you.

It was filled with wasps, we were told due to the season. The employees said the wasps were drawn to the windows, so we asked to be re-seated and simply got put next to another window. My boyfriend killed 4 wasps while we were there. Finally the table next to us left, so we moved over and could finally enjoy our meal. Mine was chicken and pickled veg on ciabatta. It was supposed to have provolone, but I chose to omit it. It was o.k. The fries were really good though. My boyfriend had the shepherds pie and loved it. Wasps aside, the place has a great atmosphere. That plus the fries and shepherds pie is why I am giving it 3 stars.

My girlfriend and I always ask the locals where to eat anywhere we go as they seem to know the best prices and quality. Hooligans was highly recommended from a bartender just around the corner. The pretzels were amazing, my gf loved her chicken breasts and I had the chicken philly. We couldnt have asked for better service and it was even cooler with how pet friendly the establishment is. The guy next to us had a small dog that they accommodated just as they would have a person with his own meal and water bowl. I think our meal total was $40 including the appetizer.

I absolutely love Hooligans. Its always a must visit each time I travel to PIB. Its an Irish bar in theme, food and drinks. The food and service has always been phenomenal. Today our server was Tayler and she gets a major thumbs up. I usually order a Jameson and ginger ale from the bar, or the "Irish Wolfhound" drink. Everything on the menu is fantastic, from appetizers to entrees. My favorites would have to be the classic Reuben, their mashed potatoes, Bavarian pretzel sticks with cheese/bacon dip, and the Guinness burger.

for my first time being on Put in Bay Island the atmosphere was great... I will come back again. the food quality was great especially the lobster bisque. they need to have more of a variety of club sandwiches thats the only downfall. but for being on the put my island for the first time Ill give it four stars. I would definitely come back more in the summer time versus the fall.

We stayed in a B&B close to Holligans Pub, so we ended up there a few times during our vacation. Every time, whether we were there for drinks, a snack, or dinner, we had good food and the servers were personable and fast. Our favorite menu items were the Mini Rucks and Murphys Onion Soup. The decor is awesome! You just have to stop in to experience this pub as a whole.

Had dinner and drinks and had to come back thr next day for more Irish breakfast shack drinks. Food was delicious and hearty. I loved thr Sheeren Ruck brisket sandwich. The chocolate cheesecake is to die for. Waitress and bartender were very friendly.

Great Irish pub. The ring and hook game is addicting and Im glad they had it here. I was able to bet on how many times I hooked the ring and made enough money to cover my tab!thanks for the memories

Overpriced. Hidden charges, watch for the up charges. Lousy service, felt like we were a burden and rushed. Food was tasty and delicious, love the burger, the chips are decent.
