First off let me mention that my immediate family owns restaurants. Also, I ate here once with a friend at night time and the food was okay so I decided to bring my wife. We arrived at 4pm just missing the lunch buffet. That was okay since we wanted to order off the menu anyway. There was not a single other customer in the place the whole hour we were there. We ordered the sizzling rice soup as an appetizer and my wife noticed the chicken looked pink. I ate a piece of chicken with no broth or rice and it was awful and raw. I hate complaining (since my family owns restaurants), but had to say something. The waitress said "no, thats cooked chicken." I told her that cooked chicken is NOT pinkish or redish. She walked over and spoke angrily in Chinese to the manager as if we couldnt tell by her tone she was mad at us. After five minutes they brought a replacement soup. This was worse than the first one. The chicken they used was full of fat and grizzle... the parts you throw away! We couldnt even eat it and told the pleasant hispanic busboy to take it away. At this point it became apparent the waitress didnt want to deal with us anymore and had the busboy bring our crab rangoons. They were decent (how hard is it to deep fry something that comes frozen?), but they didnt bring out any chili sauce. Finally (after waiting like 25 minutes) the busboy brought our entree and it didnt look like the one we had ordered. It had different vegetables and the chicken pieces were tiny bits. The overall appearance of the entree didnt not look good. My wife said "lets just eat this"... right before finding a hair in her food. The hair was short and black, so theres no way it belonged to either of us. Now as someone from a family of restaurant managers the worse part about the whole meal was the Golden Dragon managers apathy to my complaints. I said "I hate to complain but our first soup had raw chicken, the second soup had inedible chicken, and we found a hair in the entree". He responded as if he barely cared, "dont worry about the bill then." I think he was implying that we could finish it for free, but we got up and left. Well, were never eating there again and hoping we dont fall ill from the raw chicken.

Ok so where do I even begin with this joke of a "restaurant"??? First off the delivery came about 20 minutes late. The delivery guy was friendly, probably no fault to himself. Ive had a lot of Chinese food throughout the years from many different places and states. This was hands down the WORST Chinese food Ive ever had!!! Its so bad Im anticipating being sick. The only reason why I ate it at all is because I was so hungry. I got the Pan Fried Noodles (CS21). Menu description said "fresh scallops", they were gross. The noodle dish was filled with tasteless vegetables that seemed to be from a can (most of the carrots looked identical), could have possibly been frozen but I think thats giving this "restaurant" too much credit. Sauce tasted bland and probably came from a can. Shrimp were tasteless. I think the water chestnuts were the only enjoyable thing about this, pathetic. Noodles (pictured) were so dry and stale that they were sticking to each other like an uncooked ramen brick. A friend and I shared some pot stickers and shrimp egg rolls. Shrimp egg rolls were one of the nastiest things Ive ever had the misfortune of eating. Friend had to throw his up because they were so gross and pointed out the tiny shrimp seemed like they werent cooked properly (slimy). Pot stickers tasted like they saved them from their earlier lunch buffet, microwaved them, and gave them to us. Egg rolls were probably microwaved as well. Oh and if they couldnt screw up anymore, they did. Their coupon in a local coupon book says nothing about deliveries being excluded but yet when I called them they said the coupons are only for dine in or take out. I should have said well if you dont honor your coupon Im not ordering. Last time a business does that to me. Absolutely terrible excuse for a restaurant. This place seemed to be one of the only oned that delivered to our hotel. Will tell hotel front desk how bad it was and recommend their menu removal from the hotel lobby. I wouldnt let my cat eat that garbage. Highly recommend not eating here. Im not from the area so I dont know if the competition is any better but it could be and I very highly doubt any place could do a worse job than this joke.

LOVE THIS PLACE. After moving from downtown Atlanta to Athens for school I was really bummed about how all the restaurants in Athens seemed to be either gross or over priced for what youre getting. Golden Dragon is your comfort Chinese food place. For 10 bucks me and my friend had sesame chicken(which was crispy and still had a lot of sauce) with a little bit of left overs and it also came with a side of very good steamed rice. Normally on a saturday night asian cuisine runs us about $15-$20 and we dont have left overs. Nice calming atmosphere, and the guys working there are so nice. They put the meat and rice in separate containers which should be the normal, but for some reason in Athens it isnt. Having it in a separate container keeps the textures, portions consistent and good. Bottom line this is the standard for what Chinese food should be in Athens.

This was the worst Chinese food Ive ever had. I placed two orders (the Sesame Chicken and General Tsos Chicken) and they both were extremely dry. There was a little sauce at the bottom of each container, but it was cold and tasted like thick soy sauce. You have to pay extra to get fried rice if you dont want the white rice that comes with it. This was a waste of money because the fried rice was just white rice with peas and carrots! I dont understand the concept of having to pay extra for fried rice at a Chinese restaurant, but if I have to pay for it, I would actually like to have "fried" rice. All-in-all this place was overpriced, the food was bland and dry. I will never return to this place, it was a complete waste of money and the 15 minutes I had to wait for my to-go order.

Ordered online. Ordering was easy. I received an email saying it would be 45 mins. An hour later i had not received my food. So i called and was told the delivery driver left already and my food should be here shortly. After another 30 minutes i had not received my food so i called again and was told any minute now my food should be here. Ten minutes later the driver showed up. My food was cold. I ordered the orange chicken. My chicken had no sauce because it had all drained to the bottom of the container. I also ordered the crab ragoons. They are the worse Ive ever had. Dont waste your money with this business. Trust me. The only reason Im not sending it back and getting my money is because Im so hungry.
