I No Longer Use This Account
I went to Balance for the first time today and I was pleasantly surprised. The feel is almost like a Chipotle where they offer a couple choices that you can customize but the quality of the food you get is amazing. I dont remember off the top of my head how many choices but you start by picking a sauce flavor. The sauce flavor also determines the vegetables because they want it to balance the flavor (see what I did there?) There were 6 choices I believe but they can be further changed by adding/subtracting vegetables. You then pick a meat such as steak, chicken, breaded chicken, shrimp or a vegan one and finally a starch such as white rice, fried rice and like 5 other choices. The quality of the food is amazing. This isnt the colorless tiny vegetables like at Magic Wok but instead are fresh and huge They also have a bubble tea bar where you can get a milk tea or green tea with flavors in it. I got the strawberry green tea with bubbles. I liked the flavor but not the bubbles All in all I will be back

Heading back home to Illinois from a trip to Canada. Got so excited to stop here and thats where it stopped. The people were lovely but either the owner knows nothing about asian cuisine and the importance of the fusion of different seasonings and flavors or the asian owned establishment has lost his/her way and does not know his/her culture. I give mad respect for business owners but I dont respect false advertisement. Please remove the word "asian" from the title. The food was bland, but the veggies were fresh. The bubble tea is not "real" bubble tea, its a watered down Hawaiian Punch, not a frozen smoothie. It is not "real" (black and thick) tapioca balls, they are small dessert balls (tiny filled with water) that you put in frozen yogurt. If youve been to a real Thai or Asian restaurant, this is an American wannabe version where the chefs googled recipes and didnt have all of the ingredients.

They are holding back on the protein a bit. Portions are getting small in that respect. If you order bubble tea I suggest you call ahead. Took 15 minutes to get 3 made up. I was almost done with my meal by time the girl got ours done. She was to busy talking to some guy and making his before she could get our 2 made. By time we left she had a total of 6 made and had 8 cups on the counter. Talk about a back log!!! This was on 9/12/15 around 1 PM. Hope the establishment takes care of this. Ill give it one more shot. If it doesnt turn around I wont be back and wont talk this place up any longer.

Dont let the decor fool you -- the menu is reasonably priced. I have only been there twice. I work in the area. Both times the food was excellent, and cooked to order. The second visit, I asked for extra spicy, and they were accomodating. On the first visit, the place was dead -- the food took about ten minutes. On the second visit, Balance was PACKED -- and it still only took 20 minutes. They would do well to have a larger sign out front, but I think word is spreading. The service is cordial without being annoyingly friendly.

Staff was not very friendly or helpful when ordering. They asked twice if it was to go or if we would eat in. Told them twice it was to eat in, but they still made it to go and did not let us know it was ready, so it stayed on the counter for like ten minutes. By the time we got it, the food was not very warm. However, it had great flavor. Also had a bubble tea, which was really good and refreshing. If you are not getting bubble tea, drink selection is not great. Basically the food was good, experience not so great, just average.

I went there yesterday and got the Wiseman bowl with steak and Brown rice, I feel like you get more vegetables with that bowl, and the wise man sauce is great and also love the sweet and sour too. Really great food, like a healthier version of hot heads or chipotle.. Def recommend kale salad to, its small but hits the spot.. Love the wontons too.. Great customer service to and very clean inside.. Love bubble teas just hard to spend so much money on tea every time

Balance Pan-Asian Grille is a refreshing take on your typical Asian take-out. The vegetables in the bowls are fresh and crisp. The bowls are light, but they are the perfect amount to fill you up. I have been there twice and the staff has been very helpful and knowledgeable when asked about their food. The bubble tea is very refreshing and the bubbles filled with sweet jelly of some kind is fun and delicious. I highly recommend Balance in Maumee.

If there is a cooler casual dining experience in Toledo, I havent been there. This is the best Chinese food in Toledo, except the menu is so unique and innovative its hard to classify it as Chinese cuisine. But best of the all, the food is incredible. Ive made enough stops to know their menu, and there isnt a bad choice anywhere. The food is amazing. And you must try their tea bar. Simply put, this is one of Toledos best restaurants.

The food and environment are great! The only dislike i have is that at the Maumee location, the girl working there with gauges in her ears has TERRIBLE customer service skills. She was extremely rude for no reason and wouldnt take anybodys orders until we all asked to have our orders taken. This happened with the same girl the last 3 times we went there for lunch break. The location on Central ave is much better!

I love the food. But one day I was there and an employee came in. She was thin with dark hair and glasses. While the cashier was taking an order on the phone, she jumped in front of me and put her own order in on the other cash regester. Paid with her credit card and waited for her food. Although this isnt a tramatic event, it was extremely rude !

This was hands down the worst dinner I have ever had. I couldve had my three year old daughter make a better meal in my kitchen. The decor was stupid and the food was awful. I will never go back. I plan on telling all my friends to never go there. THIS PLACE IS AWFUL. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. IT SHOULD BE CALLED UNBALANCED BECAUSE IT SUCKS!

This place is where I would go first for a meal from home. Unfortunately, I only found this wonderful place while traveling. If they ever franchise and open a place near me, Ill be a regular. I had one of the bowls, an egg roll and pot stickers. All three were delicious and filling. And they dont charge enough for what they offer.

The food here is amazing, with a ton of different combinations you can creat upon request! However, my number one reason for coming here are the tea selections. The green tea is amazing and comes in a variety of favors! My personal favorite, pomegranate with mango jellies.

Clean and modern, with eclectic menu. However the food components they combine to make there various menu items has been prepared at some earlier time, with the finished product not being as fresh as it would be if the components had just been prepared.
