The kitchen doesnt seem to have enough workers. When we went the food has taken a long time to come out. The 2nd to last time we went, we were sitting at the bar and watched our food sit in the window, for about 10 mins, dying. Then a server, other than our own grabbed it and handed it to us. She didnt even put the toppings on it, and didnt give us syrup or anything. The last time we went, we had a different server and didnt sit at the bar. When she first came to our table she semi-rudely said "what do you want to drink. She didnt introduce herself, she didnt even let us know what they had for us to drink. The food also took a long time to come out that time. After 20 + minutes, my husband had finished his first drink and for over 10 minutes, the server walked past us several times without stopping. She went directly to a station and talked to another server. We didnt want to be rude or get up and interrupt her, so we waited until she brought the food to ask for another drink. We have been to the Bob Evans in Newark and think well take our business somewhere else from now on or to Newark. We just wanted to enjoy a nice meal. We tip well. We have both been in the industry, and it is irritating to receive such poor service.

This is the 2nd Sunday we visited the Bob Evans in Mount Vernon OH . . .the first Sunday we had very poor service. Today, we waited for more than 30 minutes to be seated. There were many empty tables that needed to be cleaned. The hostess was at the cash register and the lobby was packed--there was no one to clean tables or seat people. We never did see the manager. After we were seated, the waitress was excellent and the food was good, but we were inside the restaurant for more than one hour before we were served. So, the service to the table was very poor and there was poor management throughout! Usually the manager goes table to table to see how things are, but there was no sign of him today. It definitely wasnt the Bob Evans service we are accustomed to.

Food was ice cold and soggy and poorly put together . Customer service / staff was horrible. Was a carry out order . They put my childs glass of milk in the bag with the food who does that ??????????? Overall horrifying and sickening we wont ever return , the thought of how the food was is nauseating . Majorly disappointed. If you want great service and great food I highly recommend people avoid this location and go to Alisons finer diner or south side diner in mount Vernon . Atleast those places offer amazing customer service , and amazing food and a lot cheaper than bob Evans !!!!

Never had a good experience there; at the new location. Was great when across from Kroger. New place had worse food in tinier portions pretending to be classy; but the plates had smears of food on the rim. Service was terrible. My young daughter had a pancake with banana slices for eyes. Supposed to be cute but the slices were so dried out and shriveled up it was totally off putting and obviously had been sitting under a warmer which was also proved when I tried to cut the pancake and it broke. Add to that the higher prices, and you have a terrible restaurant.

Honey glazed carrots were dry & rubbery. Bbq sauce tastes spoiled! I got the wildfire chicken breast dinner. The breast was so small i had it gone in 7 bites! Took forever to get out food. I watched it just sit under the warming lights for a good 10 minutes before were served. I was very tempted to go up & get the food myself! Server told us many people had been complaining about the carrots. Not sure i will be back

When I have a few specific servers this place is great.... But the last two times Ive been here the service has been terrible. Which really pisses me off it used to be one of my favorites and a regular for me and my girlfriends to go to. I dont think we will be back for a while..... When I watch my server sit down and have a 20 minute conversation with another person and doesnt even offer to refill my drink.... Ugh

The food is usually good here when its correct. Ive been served Broasted Chicken that still bleeds and frozen gravey on mashed potatoes occasionally. The service is either ok or horrible. **Update** The last couple visits have been great. It appears that there is a lot of new faces and I havent seen the few "bad eggs." Its looking like its turning around.

Service was terrible. Did not get one of our beverages and had to ask for refill and then 15 minutes later after not receiving it had to ask again and at that point was told by the server,"Im getting it" in a huff! Had to wait for our food even though it didnt appear busy. Part of the food was hot and some of it my so much. Will not go back. :(

Where do I begin.. It got to the point where I was starting to feel embarrassed for them. The last three times I was at this Bob Evans I said I would never come back but I got a gift card for Christmas so my family decided to burn the card on breakfast. Wow!! It was terrible and so expensive.. They have been relying on their name for years..

Service was subpar, we waited about 5 mins for the waiter to take our drink order, then another 10 for him to get our food order. When we needed refills he was no where to be seen. It took over 20 mins for our food to come out. Food was pretty good, but they need to step up the service for sure.

I was kindly welcomed as soon as I walked in. Our waitress; Kimberly, was very kind and treated us like family. She made sure our glasses were always refilled and asked us many times if we needed anything and generally went above and beyond to give us a comfortable lunch with the family.

My family and I generally love Bob Evans, however this location consistently bad service. I currently am looking at a near empty dining room where they have sated they dont have enough room for a party of 5. Avoid this Bob Evans and check out another location.

Have tried this resteraunt three times. Terrible service! Waited 20 minutes at the table today and still had no drinks. No-one came to take our lunch order. We finally just left. No more giving them another chance. We wont be back.

Waited 15 minutes to see a waiter. After 30 minutes just left, without even getting a drink... Service at this Bob evens remains terrible. Have tried 3 times here. This "restaurant" is dead to me my family and I will never return.

The regular waitresses and hosts are awesome, but the restaurant has problems keeping new hires. Expect a long wait during peak hours, especially Saturday mornings and Sunday Lunch. The food is good and the place is very clean.

We go to Bob Evans a lot. But tonight we were there and service was not good took a half hour or better for soup and grill cheese and chicken strips and than it was cold.. wont go back there for a while.
