I live about 3 blocks from Putters and it has become our staple for great bar food since we moved in 4 years ago. At first we absolutely loved Putters, wed take visitors there or get their chicken wings (boneless) on a whim on a saturday night. I have kids and they absolutely loved the options. Then a weird thing happened and Putters changed up their menu and got rid of most of the things we loved. They still had the wings but they got rid of their pretzels, their flatbreads and a ton of other choices. Our time going to Putters was drastically cut back. Then, they up and changed their menu and brought back many of the things they took out (Im guessing because customers complained) and while they didnt bring back everything, they brought back a lot of the staples and even made them better. If you are going to Putters their boneless wings are pretty spot on. They have a ton of sauces you can pick to go with them and they are quite a good size. (their small is a lot of food). My favorite thing on their menu is their sausage corn chowder. It took me a while to try it because really, it just sounds weird. But it has become the one item that I will always get, even if its just a cup, every time I go. The mix of sausage, corn, potato and whatever cream type liquid they use is AMAZING! Another great way to start your meal is with their pretzel sticks and queso. Im a stickler for a good pretzel and the pretzels Putters serve are top notch. They are thick pretzel sticks that get a nice crispy texture on the outside and super soft on the inside. The queso goes with it perfectly and its a hit with my entire family. While they did remove my favorite flatbread (the buffalo chicken) they have other items that make up for it. Also, my wife tried the chili cheese fries last night and she thought the chili was a bit sweeter and wasnt a huge fan, but she also doesnt like Goldstar/Skyline so maybe she has bigger issues than just this! Putters also has live music with quite a few different genres. We never typically look at the upcoming bands list but we havent been disappointed with the ones they have. Last night when we went they had a pair (a man and a woman) singing songs with just an acoustic guitar and they sounded really good. Putters also has their stage serving as a mini putting green. Its a small touch but it comes in handy when you have hangry kids waiting on their food. All in all, Putters is a fantastic place. The beer selection is wonderful, the prices are great, the food is spot on and the wait staff is super friendly. Just keep an eye on their menu because it does change a few times a year it seems.

Our recent visit to putters was disappointing for two reasons. First they nickel and dimed our bill whenever possible. I upgraded from Saratoga chips to fries for $1.25 and was disappointed with the small portion I was given. Also one of the friends I was dinning with requested a second cup of ranch for her wings, when she got her bill she was charged $0.59 for the additional small cup of ranch. Second the service was sub par. We had to flag down the waitress every time we needed a refill on our drinks, and she rushed us after we finished eating. She brought out our checks without asking us, before we finished eating, and did not ask anyone if they wanted additional beverages. After she brought us our credit card receipts we stayed watching the game and socializing for 30-40 minutes. In that time she never came to clear a single plate, ask us if we needed anything, or pick up or signed receipts. We thought she was in a hurry to leave but noticed before we left she seated another table and took their order. Also the restaurant was not busy, it wasn’t like they needed our table to seat a new party. This is not the first time the service was lacking, we will think twice before dinning here again.

Hadnt been here in over 8-months because the quality of food just seemed to go downhill. With that said, I was pleasantly surprised at my last visit. The new menu was a treat and the food was really good. Unfortunately, the quality of the server was similar to past visits...lacking. And this was at 2:15pm during the week (long after the lunch crowd and clearly before the dinner rush). I dont need my server to coddle me, but I do expect to be asked if I need more water, another beer, or simply check with me every so often to see if Im doing okay. I will definitely go back again since the food was good but I hope the server I get next time is more attentive. If not, itll be another 8-months before I return...

The service when you are seated at a table is always good and the food is above average. The servers and hostesses are friendly and helpful. Sound great right? However, if youre looking for a bar bar, its not the place. I live close (really close) and I have been there fairly often. I would love to have a great local bar to hang out in close home. The drink prices are a little high. But Id overlook that if the bartenders were friendly and engaging. Not! I have rarely, if ever, gotten any better than mediocre service at the bar or talked with a friendly bar keep at the place. And Lord knows Ive tried. Itd be great to have a local bar less than a quarter of a mile away. But this isnt it.

There were not enough servers on a warm spring Sunday. Especially with the Masters Golf Tournament. We waited a long time for a while for our drinks and ordered our salads quickly. There were many Customers sitting outside and it just did not seem there were Servers to accomodate us all. Wondering where the Management was... Thank You, And God Bless

This is my favorite place to eat and enjoy a few beers. My boyfriend and I live in otr and still make the trek here at least twice a month. The boneless wings are to die for as well as the sauces and dressings. Service sometimes lacks but Ive never had a terrible experience. I wish theyd open another restaurant a little closer to cincinnati!

This is a great place to watch sports, drink some beers, and get a little loud. Tuesday night Trivia is done well and it is a blast to participate in. The tasty food has large portions are has never disappointed. Highly recommend.

Went here on a business trip, because I like to try local places, and was not impressed. I tried their wings and they had no flavor and were very dry. Also not sure about their blue cheese dressing, but it also didnt impress.

A family favorite for the all American style restaurant. Love the wings which has a great variety from sweet to hot. Very sport oriented family friendly environment. Usually busy and can get loud.
