Had dinner there Friday night with 5 friends. Indian server was not very friendly and seemed in a rush, even though we got there well over an hour before closing. As soon as he got to hour table, before we ordered one thing, we told him we needed separate checks. He said fine. We ordered 4 appetizers to share, plus each of us ordered an entree, and 5 of us had beers or a drink. Even though it was a little warm in there, no air conditioning, and we were only cooled by a fan (Were they trying to recreate the climate in India?), everything was fine until we soon realized that our server had gone home and left the table to some white guy who was trying his best, and was a lot friendlier. When the entrees came out, my entree was missing, even though I ordered first. So, I had to wait a while to get my entree, until most everyone was almost done with theirs. Then, to top it all off, the server came by with one check for the whole table. We told him we asked for separate checks right at the beginning. He said he couldnt do it because they needed to close the register. So, we had to split the bill between 5 cards and me paying cash. So, Im sure somewhere it wasnt right. The food was okay, though I havent really had a whole lot of Indian food before, and was sort of looking forward to it. But the service ruined it for me. So not likely to go back, just because of the service alone. The manager was warm friendly and gave us beer drinkers frosted mugs. Too bad the original server screwed it all up.

We have made two trips to Namaste so far and I am impressed! As others have noted, we have a dearth of authentic, fresh, and healthy Indian restaurants in Cleveland. Namaste fills that void - and thank goodness! Everything at Namaste is fresh and flavorful. You will be awash in fragrant spices, but unless you request it to be hot & spicy, the food is served on the mild end of the Scoville scale. But mild, in this case, is not the same as bland. At Namaste, you can taste the individual spices at play in your dish: amchoor, asafetida, cumin, coriander, and cardamom! You can see the spinach leaves in your Palak Dal and identify the nigella seeds, too. This stands out when you compare it to many Indian restaurants where your dish has been aggressively stewed for hours to the point of being an indistinguishable glob of greasy (but delicious) mess. (Yeah, Im talking to you Saffron Patch!) Ill tell you (for the 20th time): you seriously need to try the Gobi 65. Dont mess around. Maybe get two. Ill look forward to visiting Namaste again and trying some more from the menu!

This restaurant is a disgrace for Indian food. Nothing tastes Indian. We ordered Chilly Paneer, Baby Corn Manchuria, chicken biryani and veg hakka noodles . Chilly Paneer : nothing chilly about it, full of vineger and tomato sauce. Excessive use of artificial color. Baby corn Manchuria: was made with the exact same sauce as chilly paneer (checkout the pics). Chicken Biryani: Served stale, when asked the Manager about it, he argued that they make fresh Biryani in MORNING ONLY, even if serving it for dinner. My mind hurts, thinking of how bad the chicken tasted. Although Manager was graceful enough for not charging us(pls find the reciept), and offered us to order anything, at no cost but we choose not to as we were disappointed. Hakka Noodles: My vegiterian wife and friend , did not liked it either. This place is definitely not for Indians, period. American may like it, who might have less knowledge of Indian taste. Good Indian Restaurants around Cleveland: Bombay Chaat Choolah BiryaniHut Express Jaipur Junction Indian Cuisine

The food tasted great and the place was very clean. The owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He catered to our personal preferences as far as the heat of the dishes was concerned which helped a lot since we had a few people who dont like spicy food. The food was delicious but on the pricey side. The reason it doesnt deserve 5 stars is because the waiting staff was lacking. They didnt seem very professional although they were nice. Also if it was your first time coming here it could be confusing how the dishes are served. You order a meat or veggie dish and then they bring a side of rice for the whole table. Which they dont tell you unless you ask. Also be careful about saying yes to extra things because they will say theyre going to bring something out like a bread to dip with but they dont tell you that it cost extra. I dont like that. I want to know what Im paying for.

Namaste is the new sister restaurant of India Garden. Both are location in Lakewood. My husband and I had a great meal at Namaste! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great. We told our server that this was our first meal at Namaste and after a few questions about our likes (spicy?, vegetarian?) he offered to order for us to surprise us. We agreed and were not disappointed! The food was delicious!! My husband and I shared a Dosa (filled lentil savory pancake), vegetable chettinad, garlic naan and saffron rice. We even had leftovers to take home. Tip: Because the restaurant is new, they are dont have a beer and wine license yet. We were told we can bring our own next time we visit. I ordered a mango lassi (like a smoothie) to drink and it was was delicious. Thank you Namaste, well be back soon!

I have been to Namaste probably weekly since they opened up in mid-November of 2014. Their menu has so many distinct flavors to choose from. I especially like the Dosa with Chicken, the Chicken Korma, the Lamb Birhani, and their Shrimp Manchurian. You may notice that Im a meatatarain, but a majority of their menu has vegetarian options. Their staff is very personable and prompt to the point that whenever the main waiter sees me coming, he always has my mango lassi waiting for me. If youre interested in trying a new restaurant in Lakewood, try this one! You wont be disappointed.

First time here and its a winner. The lady and I are vegetarians who (obviously) love GOOD Indian food, not only was everything from the pakora and naan fresh and delicious, the recommendations from the extremely engaging and friendly staff were on point. The navratan korma was excellent, whatever I had that I cant remember the name of was delicious as well, water glasses were kept full prices were beyond reasonable the environment was upscale enough for a date night yet casual enough for nice jeans and a T... Very happy we discovered this place.

Always delicious! We have ordered take out several times, but dined in for the first time tonight. Service was exceptional! Our server was very attentive and also patient with our group ordering and questions. The chicken korma and the okra masala are my favorites! I love that the menu has vegetarian and gluten free items marked, which makes it easy to order for different dietary needs of our group. Will be back again soon!

Excellent Indian food. The dosa here (super thin and crisp rice flour crepes) are amazing. The sambar is extremely flavorful and very well prepared. The manager, Ryan, made some great suggestions and really knows the menu. Overall, excellent place with great staff and ridiculously good food. (Oh and the bathrooms are large and very clean also, which makes visits with kids more pleasant...)
