Horrible service & tasteless food. I wish I could rate it without any stars. People who are looking to try out or eat authentic Indian food, please AVOID this place like a plague. Especially us desi folks. The food here is "Americanized" to the T. No flavor whatsoever! When we first entered, no one welcomed us nor directed us to our table. A guy walked by 20 seconds after we walked in, saying "Come in, and go over there, the buffet."(word per word, not even exaggerating). We should have figured how the service would be right then. But we continued to walk. Then one look at the food and we should have just turned towards the door. But we decided to be nice. Food is not even worth mentioning. The curry, vegetables, chicken, everything was bland to the point that it was like boiled with some salt & pepper. There were literally 5 options of food in the “buffet”. The WORST tasting “Indian” food I ever had in a restaurant. To top the bad food, customer service was despicable. The buffet is over at 3 pm, and right at 2:45 pm, 2 of the waitresses kept telling us, “if you want more food, you can take it now, because we are going to close”. Then at 2:50 pm, while we were trying to get the desserts, they took away the bowls and the cutlery and gave us the payment/check book. Then like two minutes late, a waitress comes at our table to get the checkbook, and we told her we weren’t done yet, and she goes “Can you pay us please, because we are closing the register”. That was the last straw! We paid our bill and walked out of that place. Look elsewhere if you want to eat real Indian food.

WOW I cant believe the reviews I just read! It seems rivals have posted on this site, because I first went to Royal India about 3 weeks ago and it was so good that Im writing a review.....which I normally dont do. I have tried the dinner and lunch buffet and service was attentive. Maria waited on us and she went above and beyond in explaining all the dishes we inquired about. Since then Ive been about 6 times and have ordered to go 3 times. Im a foodie and this place has the ambiance as well as the taste which keeps bringing me back (they even have a lakeside area in the back for smokers...very romantic) I have to tell you on the lunch buffet they have something different every day that the chef creates thats not on the menu. He makes this eggplant dish for the lunch buffet and Ive been begging for him to make it again. Finally after days of calling he will be making it tomorrow 8/14/2013. If you love eggplant this is the best eggplant Ive EVER tasted. If anyone tries it let me know by commenting here and maybe I can persuade the chef to put it as a staple on the menu. Thanks again! :)

I love Indian food since I am originally from Trinidad where we eat lots of hot, tasty Indian food.. so I am very critical of Indian food.. The food here at Royal India was excellent, good portions and you can ask for more rice if needed. We had 3 main dishes .. Tandoori chicken, Lamb and another chicken dish .. it came with Bismathi rice. We also had Nan bread and for an appetizer... something that was fried with potato stuffed inside. I must say , the food was really good and had me really, really satisfied. The place was quiet and the aroma of the other patrons dishes was appetizing. The pretty waitress( a Spanish Venezuelana) was very attentive and so was the busboy service. I am going back tomorrow with another friend for lunch. The prices were very reasonable ( 4 of us ate for $65 ) Richie

Please avoid this place. Not the best place for take-out. I am Indian myself and ive tasted better indian food. First of all their delivery food sucked, such a big rip -off. I had ordered 2 chicken items and 5 naans, which came out to be $67! ! see below. both the item looked and tasted the same, except for raising and almonds in one, they were so stingy with they portions too. A lot of gravy and only 5 pieces of chicken breast cubes. Seriously, i counted!! For $15.99 per item for chicken korma & Kashmiri chicken they should be generous with their portions. Ridiculously overpriced and cheap food.!! 1 Chicken Korma Medium ## Rice ## 1 Kashmiri Chicken Mild ## Rice ## *** 5 *** Garlic Nan

Extremely disappointed with buffet options - (beware Vegetarians). I will probably not go back due to food selection and the way food is kept / served. The staff is courteous and polite and the decor is nicely done I personally dislike any mixing of food between vegetarian and other dishes. The breads were kept with chicken. There were only 2 vegetarian options available on Sunday lunch buffet which is very surprising since that is generally the busiest time for Indian restaurants. This was one of the only indian restaurant in the South Florida area many years ago and had large buffet options back then. I guess that has changed thru the years.

I am not much of a connoisseur when it comes to Indian food. It was my second time trying it, this place is the best one so far. It is relatively small, the decor is quite nice but the smell was just overpowering. . . If you are used to smelling Indian spices, the smell wont bother you. As for the food, I definitely anyone to try their naan bread, just amazing! They had a relatively large menu, and took us a long time to decide. One recommendation, if anyone isnt used to spice, like me, stick to the mild!!! The medium is simply too spicy! I have only given it a 4, because of the smell. Besides that, it was quite good and comforting.

5/28/2017 - This place looks so beautiful from outside, but this is the worst place to have Indian food. I tried Mixed Veg curry(Mild) and Lamb Bhoti on Sunday night. The cook had added raw red chili powder in the food and did not allow the food to cook enough, within 10 minutes the food was on the table and the vegetables and potatoes were uncooked. The green beans were soggy. The cook was probably in a hurry to leave home, so he made such a bad food and left. I felt there was some food color added to the food too. I have was very disappointed with the food but paid and left. My suggestion - why risk this place? I am not going back.

Frankly to describe this place as mediocre is the nicest thing I can say. Went in for the buffet just to get an idea of what its like. If you cant offer your best flavors on a buffet then youre unlikely to be impressive any other time. The food wasnt bad but there were no distinctly Indian flavors to be had. The owner keeps mentioning how Northern Indian foods are different yet as far as the dishes offered they were similar to every other Indian restaurant that Ive been to except for the utter lack of flavor. Ive also never been to an Indian eatery that didnt offer chutneys, raita, or other distinctly Indian condiments.
