Latest Review as of (03/31/2017): One of the worst restaurant with a careless owner carrying hold a waste crew members in the kitchen. Guys if you go to this restaurant double check your order on what they serve to you on the table. Also just not that even you order just 2 biryani here, they get it to you on the table after 1 hour and 15 mins. Here, dont just take my as a frustrated customer review, this has happened quiet couple of times. Incident that has happened today (03/31/2017, at 8:55 PM): I came to the restuarant with my friends and we ordered them 2 biryanis (boneless and ulavacharu) and 1 chicken fry. After 45 mins we could see something on the table to eat, and dish that was brought was really bad. Then we did waited for our turn to be served with the biryani (even though there are only 2 customers apart from us present in the whole entire restaurant). We anxiously waited, the waiter and the owner are least bothered of their customers. Now, after a 1 hour 12 mins wait for the biryani, when he served it was all cold and also served a wrong biryani entirely (he himself isnt sure of what he got), mark this as point of carelessness (he has to only serve 2 tables, i.e my table and 1 more thats it, but still he makes this mistake). We hesitatingly asked the waiter to make it warm and bring it (hoping atleast he gets the correct food and warm food atleast now). Now, he again gets the food but not the same what we have ordered (he gets now 2 boneless biryani), we did not realize seeing that expecting he wouldnt have made a mistake this time. After we started eating, we realized it was 2 boneless biryani and call the waiter again saying it was not the same thing that we have ordered (Note: anyone who is an indian and a biryani lover can easily distinguish between a Ulavacharu and boneless biryani). This guy (the waiter) goes to the cheff and checks whether it was the right one (this was the 3rd time that the food was brought to my table and has been taken away). The dumb cheff says it to be a Ulavacharu Biryani (even though the waiter was totally knows it isnt), he just feared the Cheff scolding him. By this time seeing all this drama we compeletely broke by hunger make us just feel that we were not being served great hospitality or food, but also made us waste our time by seeing the other 2 customers and flies flying in the restaurant. This is a poor and pity restaurant with a worst owner and worst crew in the kitchen. This has not happened just once but quiet several times. Hope the owner learns and teaches his crew how show some hospitality to their customers

The worst service Ive ever had, and Ive been to the Penguin in Plaza-Midwood! Had to ask for silverware and napkins after the first plate arrived and when he brought them it was like I was asking for a gold plated treasured family heirloom. The water they brought to the table was room temperature, which was hot..guess to save money on cooling and when we asked for ice he brought half glass for the two of us as if he had to harvest it from an iceburg himself. Very rude and unattentive server who basically was trying to rush us out pretty much as soon as we sat down even though the whole place was empty. The food was ok, but nothing so good as to make bad service worth it. We had ordered a chicken sikh kabab during our meal and while waiting for ever for the fresh from the freezer and heated for what seemed like forever he asked if he could bring us the check! Told him were still waiting on a plate and we asked if he even put the order in and this joker laughed like what a stupid question and said why would you ask that. If you want to get leered at for inconveniencing the waiter for simple requests then this is the place for you.

Just so you know this place is upstairs down from the end where the hookah bar is. There are no signs downstairs to tell you where the restaurant is. Decor is nicely modern with Indian music videos playing on a TV in the corner. If youre a guy, check out the wilted lotus print on top of the paper towel dispenser in the rest room. Ive never seen cardboard and plastic wrap used to such effect. The food is fairly good. They have all the traditional dishes and some individual twists like a mango dal. Unfortunately the service is where this place falls down. The waiter or the kitchen mixed up the spicy level of the food ordered, so the first batch had to be sent back. The waiter ignored us at the table after we got our food, and I had to flag him down every time we needed something. Hygiene is lacking here. The bus boy, who was refilling water carfes, kept rubbing his face, and then brought food for guests. And sorry to say his personal odor hung in the air for quite awhile after he left. So come for the food, keep walking if you want good service.

Had a great experience at Peacock Indian last night for dinner. This was the first we had eaten here and I can say based on the food alone, we will be back! I have tried many different Indian dishes in the past and am generally not picky about food. I had a craving for the ever cliche Chicken Tikka Masala. As the person before me ordered this as well, the waiter kindly asked if we had tried other dishes, because he felt there were better things to be had. Again, I have tried many dishes, so I did know this, but appreciated it nonetheless. He recommended a dish for me and Im glad I let him! I had a chicken curry dish loaded with veggies that was great. Not too spicy, but amazing flavor. We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be back. The only suggestion we have for the waitstaff is to greet/seat guests in a timely fashion and make sure you make regular water runs :)

Honestly doesnt deserve even a single star. We had to wait 50 mins for our order, the service was horrendous, they misplaced the order and brought it back to our table without even having the courtesy to heat it. The kebab was damn cold and tasted like raw cumin; pathetic. I never had such a tasteless briyani, my taste buds felt numb, I might be a horrible cook , nonetheless I can say my biriyani is far better than what they served. We ordered nattu koli fry , but they got us curry(not even a thick gravy) , when asked they said its the fry,one word "baffled" We dont want to be rude , so ordered chettinad chicken, lets say that was another mistake and quickly called in for the cheque. Honestly the worst dining experience in USA

It was good earlier, we were visiting very frequently but its horrible now a days because of new management and new chef , No to-go on Wednesday and it is costly when compared to Tulips and other Indian restaurants nearby . How will a customer will taste the buffet if he / she is not able to visit on Wednesday .Guys lets promote other restaurants like Godavari and Tulips instead of Peacock . When asking for birthday quote its too high and we took the same menu at Tulips as very very less price .
