Very disappointed. My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time. There were only four people in the restaurant when we arrived. The food was average. The problem is this. I ordered 1/2 order of biscuits/gravy $4.95 plus side of bacon $2.95 and coffee $1.95. My husband ordered Coke $1.95 and chicken sandwich $8.95. The check came for the amount of $21.35...we questioned it. Our calculator said $20.05. So we told the waitress about the issue. Actually I could have cared less about small difference but when she averaged it...she got the same total and said.."but you forgot the tax!" I said..."no..you didnt write it on our bill." She then said, "Pay what you want to and we can tell the owner. " Seriously? I kindly gave the young lady $25.00. I will never cheat someone out of a tip. But they need to-teach the waitresses how to write out a food check so the guest knows what they are being charged. Dont make up charges or assume that people wont check out the figures. I recommend you check your bill before you leave!!!

Went here for breakfast, it was almost dead so the service was quick and the food came out fast after we ordered it. The staff was really friendly too, but our server seemed to forget that we needed the bill so we could pay, so had to get another server to do it for us. The food was alright, Id recommend the Starlight Diner for breakfast down the street from here if you want really good food. This place has a great diner feel though.l, most likely wont be returning

I give 5 stars for the food, best tuna sandwich I have had in Quite awhile. But dont be in a hurry. I give 3 stars for the sevice; they are very slow about taking orders and even slow getting them out to you. I sat at the bar and watched an order sit under the lamps for several minutes before the waitress stop cleaning and severed the food,and the place isnt even half full. I hate to see how fast the food comes when they are really busy.

Wont go back, coffee horrible, very weak, employees are very nice but service was slow. Waited almost an hour for food but the worst part was the cook. He was touching the food with his hands then he would wipe sweat from his forehead and touch his hair and hat then grab sausages, bacon and toast with his bare hands and put them on the plates. That grossed me out. He should wear rubber gloves if going to touch food. That ruined it for me

Sent me out hash blondes. I asked for hash browns crispy. Sent me out another order of hash blondes. Said, "grill just doesnt get hot enough..." (How about you cover them then?) :/ Coffee was weak, first cups came out cold, had to get new hot cups. "Homemade biscuit" was alright but nothing special. Place is neat inside, retro, nice decor, but as we say in Texas, place is "all hat no cattle." Jus got ihop

What a hidden gem! I stopped in for breakfast I love the decor, the service was exceptional, always smiling, talked to me and they were efficient. I ordered the 2-2-2 special, it came out very fast, the pancakes where the best Ive ever had, the links where nice and fat just the way I like them! Not to mention it was very reasonably priced. I will definitely be coming back!

This place is disgusting. While sitting at the bar I personally witnessed the cook lick food off of his fingers and then start touching peoples food without washing his hands. The so called manager never even made him go wash his hands, she was only worried that I was going to pay for the drinks I had. That is a health violation. I only gave it a star because I had to.

Literally best burger Ive had in a while. I took my sister and cousin and all the food was very flavorful and fresh! The open face turkey and open face meat loaf was delicious. Definitely recommend for tourists (: if I ever come back to Daytona definitely will be coming back to this diner. The atmosphere is very cute with all of the Betty boop and Marilyn pictures

Had a great 50s diner look and feel. Food was delicious and inexpensive. They werent very busy for a Sunday morning but the staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely a good place to stop in at if you miss your hotels continental breakfast. Loved all the Betty Boop memorabilia. Felt like the set of Happy Days.

Awesome! If you complain about the wait or the grease youve clearly no appreciation for diner food or how long it should take to cook a good meal. So tasty. My eggs benedict was delicious. We didnt get greeted immediately and some signs saying seat yourself would be appreciated but it was so good I dont even care.

I would never recommend anyone to go there, it was the worst experience I have ever had. Waited over an 1hr 30min, severs were confused, and the owers was rude and unexperienced, after all we end up with no food, so we went to Dennys were the severs was reliable and we got our food within 15 minutes. .

Just had lunch at Daytona Diner and that was the best burger Ive had in a long time. Really cute atmosphere with Betty Boop pictures all around. When you come to Daytona Beach go have breakfast or lunch here where the staff was nice and friendly.

Visiting the diner is part of our Sunday ritual. It is super clean, the staff is like family, and the food is terrific....everything I have tried tastes awesome....especially love the Greek omelet!

Very good diner food at reasonable prices. Eggs Benedict were fantastic! Grilled Meatloaf sandwich excellant along with very good cole slaw and extremely crisp french fries. Friendly staff!

This place is great. Serves breakfast and lunch. Closes at 3 so dont be late. Great staff that is friendly. Great food with huge portions. It is a gem in Daytona Shores.
