Having been away from the area for over 30 years, I was determined to re live some of the experience of Cuban cuisine. My husband and I were on vacation in Orlando and planned to travel to Miami simply for Cuban coffee and pastries. We were so upset when we went on line to discover what was offered in the Orlando area and traveled to Ya Yas just to learn it was CLOSED!!! A wonderful lady gave us directions to Zazas and we were in heaven! We tried to try it all!! Went back twice during the next day since we were heading back to NC that morning. We purchased "memories" to bring back to share with our (now) grown children. I have never written a review before but I simply can not say enough positive about our experience. The personnel, the atmosphere, the FOOD was all awesome!!!! Thank you!

The main dish was so so disappointing, the vaca frita was literally swimming in oil (roughly 4-5 tablespoons), horrible greasy meat and overcooked - ended up soaking the oil using about 5-6 napkins. Dont get me wrong, I am a fan of zaza, I order the same dish every time from the altamonte location for lunch -its much better there - more flavorful, more seasoned and not swimming in oil. Suggestions: use less grease - there should be no oil on the plate!! season it more, food should be consistent across all locations - learn from the altamonte location. With that said, service was good and sides were tasty.

I love a good Cuban sandwich. With that being said, this isnt the place that is going to blow your mind. However, they do have vaca frita (which is one of my FAVORITE Latin dishes...) and while it isnt the best Ive had, it will do in a pinch. They used to have mofongo before they changed from Yayas to Zazas and I would have given 5 stars for that dish because it was the best and most authentic Ive had outside of PR. However, they took it off the menu which makes no sense because that was by far their shining star. Still a good place to get your Latin fix :)

BUENOS EVERYTHING is the perfect motto for ZAZA New Cuban Diner. Everything about this place is crazy good. My family and I came in here last week before our drive back to Texas and everyone in our group raved about it. The staff is so nice and the food was amazing. We ordered sandwiches and different plates with sides and the coffee (OMG THE COFFEE), grab a cafe con leche. We purchased a dozen of the mixed pastries, the quesitos and the guava pastries for the road and I wanted to horde them all to myself! If youre in the area stop in and grab a bite.

Oh my gosh, would give 20 stars if I could! Weve been to a few different Cuban restaurants (Boyfriend is Cuban) and while most of them were really good and we had a favorite we visited more than once, this one was by far the best, by all means It was comfortable, the coffee and pastries were sweet and delicious, and Ive never had chicken and congri that tasted so incredible. The croquettes we confirmed by my boyfriend to be truly authentic, and commented more than once that this was a true Cuban Restaurant Will definitely be returning

Love the coffee, pastries and breakfast plates. Service is always consistently good. Only a couple of not so great things: if you order ice tea- something tastes bad with the water in the tea, its definitely tap water, but it maybe needs to be filtered or something? Im not sure, I just know it doesnt taste good. Also, the seating is uncomfortable and the place is a bit grimey, the dishes look old and scratched up. I hope they do well enough to upgrade their furnishings and supplies soon. For now, its take out for me.

Place has been recently renovated, looks nice, I like how they placed freshly baked pastries up front. I had the Cuban sandwich but it did not impressed me. The bread was great but it would had been better if it would had been pressed, it looked like it was just toasted. The roasted pork in the sandwich was very salty. The French fries that came with it were greasy and of poor quality (line flow fries). Next time I will not have the Cuban Sandwich, they need to work on it.

The food and service are normally very good, but we went yesterday and we placed our order and they forgot to give us one of the orange juice, then they told us that the cashier did not place the order and then charged us for the other juice with tax and everything. I would have expected that since it was their mistake that they would take care of the juice. I guess they need every penny instead of keeping a customer happy. Dont be cheap, give us the juice!!

Im glad I chose this place for my first trek into authentic Cuban food. Everything was fantastic, reasonably priced, and the servings were generous. I had the Cuban sandwich, and it was huge. The bread and meat were really fresh. Also, the coffee is amazing. Its not bitter at all and goes down perfectly smooth. Dont leave without trying a cortado, you wont regret it. The staff is also super friendly and helpful in choosing your meal if youre unsure.

Do not know which restaurant the review before me went to but I have had the opposite experience. Employees all were pleasant. I think every one of them asked me how I was and if I was enjoying my meal. Not to mention as I was departing the restaurant every employee wished me a good day. Ive gone the past 2 days and will continue to go for lunch. The food is amazing and made to order. Great little place. Café con leche slammin. lol.

Were from Salt Lake City, UT visiting Orlando and came to eat at Zaza Diner restaurant. The food and pastries are delicious! Customer service is great, the lady asked if it was our first time here and she explained everything on the menu. Very warming atmosphere, clean and welcoming. If we have time before we head back home, I shall stop by to bring some pastries home! =). Great Cuban food, reminds me when I used to live in Miami.

I ordered the palomilla steak, white rice, black beans, plátanos maduros and a coffee with quesitos for dessert....one word, OMG! Absolutely delicious. I come from a latin family and wasnt expecting the food to be as good as my mothers or grandmothers cooking but boy was I wrong. The staff is super friendly and the wait is always less than 10 minutes. If you want fresh, tasty food for a fair price, then this is your spot.

Friendliest Cafe in Orlando. Best Cuban food Ive had since moving away from Miami. Big pressed sandwiches, great fresh pastries. Rarely the rice can be a bit on the dry side, and finding a parking spot can be difficult during the lunch rush, but its a small restaurant to begin with, and fills up fast for a reason. When you go, ask for a stamp card; youll be back to fill it up quick. One of my favorite restaurants.

Ive been going to this place for years, since they opened. However, now that they have different employees I was treated horrible and I complained to the store manager and all she did was say that I was wrong and make excuses for her employees. She thought that my offering free food would make me feel better. Their employees dont care because they know that she wont tell them anything. Not going back.
