When I first started eating there about a year ago, I really enjoyed the competitive pricing and quality food. The place is right next to Aladdins, which is great but pricey. I was glad to see a quality, low price Mediterranean joint. But I went back there about a week or so ago, and the prices had gone up considerably. I understand times are tough in this economy, but I think it speaks more to poor management than it does to the state of the economy. Ive eaten here a LOT, and Ive seen the manager give away free meals, trays of baklava, huge discounts for his family. Whats more is the quality of the food has gone down. Im a little particular about my orders, and I try to explain it as clearly as possible, but its almost always wrong. My boyfriend got the lamb there a few times, and it was undercooked. The quality of the hummus has gotten very oily, and usually the "Specials" dishes are more sauce than substance. Id honestly be surprised if this place stayed afloat past another year.

Decided to take my son and i to lunch after an oil change and we both decided that we would try something different. Ive always grown up on Nazareth Deli (now located on Hamilton rd by was on the north end) their Gyro is unmatched and the sauce they have is amazing. Going into the lavash cafe it was cute, the menu is up behind the register so youre almost breaking your neck to look at it. The prices were the first thing to stand out. WOW! I was floored. We decided to get a gyro platter ans substitute the rice for fries. Just for my son and I it was $32 Holy Cow!! We didnt even get drinks except for water. And then on top of that instead of getting a gyro with a side salad and fries, they gave us a gyro salad because they read the ticket wrong. It wasnt bad food the salad was fresh and the meat was tasty. But its not worth the cost. Nothing really stands out about the place and the food is mediocre compared to Nazareth in my opinion. Way too expensive.

I recently tried this newly opened restaurant and thought it was excellent. My hubby and I shared the hummus, which is excellent and comes with good pita bread. He had the leg of lamb sandwich and I have the chicken kebob sandwich and we each enjoyed them. The chicken kebob sandwich had chicken, peppers, lettuce, etc. with a lovely tahini sauce. We also shared one piece of baklava (they have many to chose from) and it was delish too! The food is a great value too! The restaurant is brightly decorated with lots of vibrant colors and fabrics. The seating area is a bit small, so it might get busy once people realize its there. All and all, hubby and I thought the food was better than Aladdins, just down the street, although the menu isnt as extensive. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely fantastic!! The food is prepared fresh and it is delicious. Everything is of course halal. The restaurant is very modern and clean. They have a musalah (prayer area), a separate area for women to eat and the owner is amazing. Good things happen to good people. We were visiting from Maryland he talked to us as if we were old friends, very easy going and friendly. He gave us free hummus and baklava for the road. There were a few children in the restaurant he gave them cupcakes, a homeless women walked in he gave her a sandwich. Great owner mA. I hope his restaurant continues in success inshAllah! Forgot to mention they also have a charging station for your phone!

This food is the real deal. I ought to know,. I had in-laws from the old country who knew how to cook. The falafel is crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle as it should be. They use fresh garlic, lemon and ollve oil. Tabouleh is supposed to have more parsley then what you are generally served. This place has it. I like having a choice of lavash or pita. Nothing is out of a can. By the way, the owner came to to my table to ask if the food was all right. This was only my second visit in Janyary 2010. If you prefer dry tasteless meals---go elsewhere. What are you people talking about?

I always love the food here. It is the best of its type in Columbus. They actually make their sandwiches correctly with lavash instead of pita. But pita is still an option for those who prefer it. And on that note, I wouldnt blame you if you did because their bread is AMAZING. Ask for some yogurt sauce to go with it (not actually tzatziki, which is thicker) for a truly yummy experience. They also have the best kibbeh in the area. And the baklava is to die for! Best word to describe it is succulent, though heavenly is a close second. 100% recommend this place.

Best. Restaurant. Period. There is no comparison to subway or any other restaurant. Where else can you get fresh lamb, shrimp, or beef cooked to perfection, served with unlimited bread and a salad. By the way, each portion is large enough to feed two sumo wrestlers who havent eaten in a week. Service is also great. You could eat off the floor if you so desired. Also, the owner, frequently makes rounds throughout the dining room, making sure people have everything they want. Shame to the man who compared this fantastic establishment to subway.

I took home a falafel plate (6 biggish crunchy falafel balls with tehinah sauce with mint, about 1/2 cup of their chopped salad, perfectly seasoned, and hummus garnished with a couple of whole beans, paprika and a lovely REAL black olive.) The bread is perfect, light-years better than Aladdins (order an extra piece to get all of the flavors of this plate.) I spent 3 years living in Israel, and so far have found nothing better than Lavashs falafel plate! Its absolutely authentic, served authentically, and SO GOOD!

Amazing, fresh, delicious food. An outstanding service by amazing people. What a great experience for my family! We tried the red snapper, the vegetarian sandwich, a couple of orders of hummus, a combination meat platter platter and a chicken and beef kebab order. We were treated as kings this Saturday July 9, 2016 that the price we paid was truly negligible compared to the service and food. A big thanks to the cashier Moundar, to Omar the bread maker and the other personnel for providing with a heavenly experience!

Extremely delicious Middle-Eastern food! Got the small hummus plate, tabouleh, and lamb skewer (which was especially good -- we asked for it cooked medium rare). When we told them it was our first time there and our friends had recommended it, they invited us to come back to the register when we were finished eating and they would give us dessert on the house (which they did and was amazing!). Better than Mazzah in Grandview. Will definitely be making this my go-to Middle Eastern place.

My family and I decided to eat at Lavash Cafe one Sunday afternoon. And Im glad we did! The food and the service was excellent! The employees were very nice and helpful. The chef even came out to greet us at our table. I had to get up and shake his hand because his food was absolutely delicious. Lavash Cafe has easily become one of our favorite places to eat in Columbus. Have you been? If not, then go! You will be glad you did.
