Stayed here over a getaway weekend for our first trip to Cincinnati and we enjoyed the experience overall. The Good: The king suite we stayed in was clean & comfortable (side note: the room had a scent to it, like an air freshener. Smelled like a designer cologne or something. We both liked it but could see how not everyone would be a fan). Our interaction with the staff, though limited, was positive. We had dessert one night in the hotel restaurant and had a great time. It wasnt loud or crowded, and we were able to sit comfortably at a table with couches for seating. Our server was friendly and the creme brulee was great. I think the manager even came and refilled our water glasses. The Not-So-Good: Unbeknownst to us, we came into town during Oktoberfest, which, from our room, was half a block away. The crowd was loud and various other accompanying noises woke us up a few times. It would have been nice to know at the time we booked that was going on; with how much you end up paying for a downtown hotel, I feel that a question like "What brings you into town to stay with us?" is appropriate. They could at least have given us a room on the south side of the hotel away from the crowd. Also, some key downtown roads were closed due to the festival. We were only notified about this—by email—a few hours before our arrival. I think my biggest suggestion for the hotel management would be to have better foresight and anticipate guests needs better. This isnt a cheap hotel and they need to be more welcoming by showing better hospitality. Another minor issue: our bathroom door—a sliding door—ceased to function properly after the first night. We had to squeeze through a 1 foot opening to get into the bathroom. Not a huge issue, and Im sure theyll fix it, but it functioned perfectly for the first part of our stay and then inexplicably stopped. Lastly, our room lacked a mini fridge. The explanation was "Weve only gotten down to the 10th floor with the fridges. Weve only been operating for a year." Im not really sure how this is a valid explanation, but it kind of dampened the experience knowing we couldnt bring anything back to the room to enjoy later. Again, we had a good time and would return. Hopefully the management sharpens up some of these areas in which theyre lacking.

My stay started off very well. I walked into the beautiful hotel and was greeted by their friendly staff. It pretty much went downhill from there. I booked a room with two queen beds for my cousin and I. When we reached our room, there was a glass of red wine smashed against our door with bits of glass blocking our entrance. When we finally opened the door, we were disheartened by the lone king bed inside. We trekked back downstairs and the hostess fixed our situation. I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT SUGGEST USING THEIR VALET SERVICE!!! I cant be more clear about this!!! When my cousin and I dropped my car off, we were walking down the street and I heard what I thought sounded like my car being seemingly redlined. To my astonishment, it was indeed my car being driven by the valet ripping down the street. When I left the hotel, I got about 30 minutes away only to have my tire pressure sensor go off. I pulled into a gas station to check my tires and noticed a fist-sized dent and scratches over the front right tire. I called the hotel about this roughly 10 times over a month. Over that period they said they had lost my claim at one point and thats why it was taking so long. When I finally received a callback from their risk management department, they told me I should have read the disclaimer and because I left the hotel I didnt have a valid claim. Essentially, the Renaissance Cincinnati Downtown called me a liar. I would stear clear of this hotel. If you do stay, avoid the $35/day valet charge and park your car yourself.

I was recently in town for a work function and on my last day became very ill. Not only was the hotel accommodating in extending my stay and ensuring I was able to stay in my room, they went above and beyond in their care for me. From checking on me, to bringing me medicine, to delivering toast and ginger ale and calling to ensure I was ok and if I needed anything else, I could not have been in a better place to recover while I was away from home. Even when checking out the front desk knew I had been ill and offered to get me anything I needed for the trip home. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are amazing and comfortable and the meeting rooms and food was top notch. Whether in town for business or a personal visit, I cannot recommend staying here enough.

Well it was the weekend of some festivals so of course the rates were doubled. Bed and bathroom were good for 4 people but there was nowhere to sit and no table. No microwave either. Guest wifi cost money. Our ceiling started flooding directly over one of our beds. Absolutely soaked out friends and put a small hole in the roof. My friends went downstairs to voice their concerns and no one seemed to care except for one lady, who managed to get us a new room, but the disruption was very inconvenient and there was no compensation except for simply pushing us into another two bed suite. This made me feel as though the service was money directed solely, I did not feel very compensated for our troubles. Not a good time.

My team visited the restaurant for a group lunch. There were about eight of us when we arrived and the restaurant was relatively quiet. It soon filled up but the noise was still moderate. The food selection was pretty good, the prices fair for the quality but the service was somewhat slow and disorganized. The daily special was changed after we ordered it and they prepared something completely different with no warning. They offered the replacement for free but we were a little surprised at not being notified of the change. I would visit here again but not with someone Im looking to impress. The bar area looks pretty busy after hours so I look forward to visiting them as well.

We had both our wedding ceremony and reception at the Renaissance. Heather and her team are incredible! If there was anything we needed both during planning and the day of the wedding the staff was more than happy to help. The food was absolutely delicious and multiple people told us how much they enjoyed everything. The Renaissance made our wedding stress free as they took care of everything. The hotel is beautiful throughout the entire building and within walking distance of multiple Cincinnati landmarks. Overall this would be my go to hotel to stay in as a guest downtown. This would also be my hands down top pick for any bride looking to get married in downtown Cincinnati.

First and foremost this hotel rocks. I recently planned a solo mecca trip there and stayed in legendary room 618. As soon as I walked in I knew this is where my mommies stayed. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and classy tv. Unfortunately I did not perform any bodily melodies, even after eating from the buffet but I did have a moment of clarity when my mind and body were one. Is this what Buddhist monks experience when they meditate? All of this from this hotel, more specifically from this room. Stay here immediately. I plan on making my annual mecca every year. And hopefully one day I will get to do it with my non binary, gender fluid partner.
