This place is absolutely filthy. Eat here at your own risk. I will never set foot in another Golden Corral in my life and am going to call the health department. The tables, floors, and fixtures are covered in old dried food, dust clumps, and bits of paper and other debris. They simply never clean the place. The buffet is horrible. Most of the food trays were empty and the trays that had food, the food was OLD. Saw half raw meatloaf on the buffet. The place is like a zoo. The wait staff and buffet workers are rude. Our waitress stood in a corner by the drink station and was eating. She was not on break. When she saw me looking at her she tried to cover her mouth. Overheard the buffet workers laughing about food poisoning. We got out of there. They let peoples kids run loose and touch on the food at the buffet, play with the clean utensils, plates, etc. at the dish caddy. The employees say nothing to them. Saw a little kid drop a cookie on the floor and he picked it up and tried to put it back on the buffet. Again, employees said nothing. The kids older sibling saw him and stopped him, thank goodness. The bathroom REEKS of urine. Ive smelled bathrooms in state parks and rest stops that smell better. Im not a fan of buffets to begin with and this place is the WORST I have ever seen. Called corporate headquarters and they never called back. Also filed complaint online. Same deal. They could not care less about what goes on in these restaurants or your experience. You get what you pay for. Pay an extra few dollars and go someplace where you will get CLEAN, properly prepared food. Even McDonalds or Burger King would be better. Diner beware.

Have been to this location multiple times this year and every time the experience has diminished. Mist times the visit is for breakfast, the visit this time we arrived at 10:24a.m. breakfast is served till 11a.m. or supposed to be. At 20 mins till 11 they are running out of breakfast items already and taking items away and pouring lunch items up. I had the country fried steak, hash browns beacon and eggs to start. The only good part was the beacon country fried steak was old and to much breading. Hash browns were full of grease. Eggs were old as well. Second plate, had eggs again as this time they were more fresh and much better and more beacon as it was the only item woth getting from the breakfast that was left on the bar. So on to the lunch, i had mac and cheese green beans mash potatoes and corn to start. Mac and cheese was dry, mash potatoes were too runny corn was ok not too bad as well as the green beans. Third plate was steak chicken breast corn and green beans. No complaints on the third plate it was good. But the overall visits have gone down hill, most of the golden corrals i have visited in the past have been much better in quality of food. Another thing i also wanted to mention was this visit was on a Sunday a day that i normally work and I had taken the day off to other things besides have breakfast at golden corral and i am a veteran as well. And this yearthe observed day for veterans at this golden corral is the 14th not even on the actual 11th on the Friday veterans day. Just very disatisfied with the decline in overall quality and service and cleanliness.

What an awesome place this is! My husband and I were there on Thanksgiving Day when he had some kind of episode he never experienced before! The manager was there to seat people and immediately came to help me with him! All the staff was just wonderful! This manager went above and beyond to help and my husband and I are just so thankful for this amazing man! Also the EMTs from Springfield fire department were amazing! Weve always had good experiences at this Golden Corral but on this day we were truely Blessed and Thankful!

It was by far the worst dinner I have ever got here they was either about out of some of the food or some of it looked like the leftovers from several trays all mixed together some food was burned and to get a piece of steak was like trying to get a million dollars and when i did get some it was so small you had to go back 5 or 6 times just to be able to enjoy the taste. So after all my years of eating with this company im not sure i want to come back.

6/25/2011 -I went to Golden Corral in Akron, and there was a dead fly in the mash potatoes, there wasnt alot of desserts to pick from too, when I went to the rest room the floor was wet and they didnt have a wet floor sign in the rest room, I also saw a worker coming out of the rest room and he went to the ice machine to get some ice for a drink, and he didnt even wash his hands before he put his hand in the ice machine, ( Thats How People Get Sick).

I was always really anti-buffet, thinking the crowd that they draw is usually... Yknow. But, turns out Im just an idiot, Golden Corral is a lot of fun, and you get a lot of food. I like the open atmosphere, and the fact that you end up interacting with a lot of people, and theyre all happy too, since theyre piling food on their plates. It may not be the best food, but its worth the money and I love the setting.

My dad loves the Golden Corral. He goes during the day at special senior prices and is very happy with the selection and pricing, so I told him Id put in a review for him. Great deal for seniors! He just wishes it were closer so he could go more often. He has to rely on my brother to drive him and he can only do that once a week. Im in another state or Id try to take him two to three times per week.

This is the last time Ill eat at this Golden Corral. Its Veterans Day and I took my family in to take advantage of their Veterans Special only to be told that they are doing it next Monday. How ridiculous! The buffet was very understocked and took forever to be filled. The manager was literally yelling at the staff behind the buffet in front of everyone. Welcome to the Black List, Golden Corral, Akron.

Management is horrible, staff is lazy, no food ready to eat, dumping new food on top of old out of time food. Told a woman to walk around to the other side because they were too lazy to fill an empty hole. Never got a drink refill. The manager is a jersey to his staff. No plates or silverware for people to be able to eat. Over all my family will never dine at this location ever again.

Best buffet in the USA. Kids approved, cheap easy meal when you dont want to cook. Food is good, selection is decent. Turn around if its packed, the entire experience downgrades quickly. Oh and they try to hard to have an upscale menu on weekends, and slack on the regulars. Not many want the spicy shrimp or prime rib. Keep the basics fresh and steaks ready instead.
