So this morning on my way to work I went into this diner never been here b4 but I wanted to try it when I walked in I just stood there looking around for the menu I guess no one else seen me come in but a cook came from the back and asked if I wanted to place a order I said yes then he asked someone to take it for me I thanked him so Im looking at the menu and when I look up there this young girl there at the register just mugging me so Im like yess may I have the BLT and she acting as if she was being polite but for some reason I dont think they wanted me there i was the only black person there then I guess the man who is manager said maam are u waiting on BLT I said yes sir I am he said thank u and he threw me my food that he put in the bag I felt disrespected and I felt I didnt belong there which is why I wont be going back there Im a paying customer and I deserve to be treated with the same respect as everyone else BUT THAT BLT SANDWICH WAS GOOD

Dont come here! Waitress was friendly but food was horrible. Eggs were bland,cornbeef hash combo I ordered had only bits a pieces of cornbeef. Looked like bacon bits. The rest was only shredded potatoes and very greasy. I asked for side of cornbeef instead and got more shredded potatoes. I only ate a few bites and decided I didnt want it and requested that it be taken off my bill this older lady came to my table and preceded to argue with me. Pointing her finger at me and asked me to never come back. I tried to be nice about the situation by stating that it was not a big deal and I just wanted it taken off my bill. I was with my family and finally told her I wasnt paying for any of the meals. My son had turkey club and before he took another bite I noticed there was a long white hair in it. Im sure it was the lady who was rude to us as she was the only employee in the diner that had white hair and Im pretty sure she was the owner.

Very good food, had a rueban and a vanilla milkshake and fries. My friend had a Philly with fries and a Dr pepper float. The staff is extremely friendly can sometimes talk a little too much but no big deal, the younger girl and guy working here are very nice. So no issues with food or staff. Now the restaurant does look like it needs a good refurbishing and cleaning. Seats are tearing, the walls have some food stains and it is too cluttered with photos and nic nacs, needs some updating while also keeping the classic look. Also was watching a staff member unload vegetables into the storage bins out on a dining room table which I thought was strange. All in all for the food and service I recommend you atleast give this place a try.

Came inside, theres a sign stating "Please wait to be seated" so we wait. A female employee was eating behind the counter and with food in her mouth, states that we can select our own table. There were two tables in need cleaning, so we ask the lady to clean it. She looked as if she was upset that we interrupted her meal. So she takes her time cleaning the table, and sits the set dish bucket on the seat. I asked her to please dry the seat and she did with attitude. Then, we order coffee, and ask for sugar and cream to be delivered to our table. We dont receive it! We asked for utensils, the server states that they dont have any at the moment. Thats ridiculous! How can you not have utensils! Worse service ever! Dont go there!

My wife and I decided to try this place out today for breakfast. Its got a fun kinda run down 50s diner sort of thing going. The menus said that its been around for 40 years, and those menus looked pretty old themselves. Definitely had the feel of a place you would stroll into in a much smaller town, although it seems that it has been around since Jacksonville was much less populated. Anyway, the breakfast wasnt on par with say Metro Diner but it was less expensive. I think most people come here for the atmosphere and service, which was very good.

First time going here, and it left a really bad impression. Lady who served me was okay, but it wasnt busy at all, everyone was just standing around, even the cooks, and it takes 30+ mins to cook my food. Food is mediocre at best too, just go to metro diner, serving size actually relates to the price. Burned english muffin, bland eggs, and extremely low amount of corn hash. Dont go here.

WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. EXTREMELY DIRTY. FOOD WAS HORRIBLE. STAFF WAS RUDE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME EVEN TRYING THIS PLACE. JUST GO RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET AND EAT AT METRO. I WAS WARNED ABOUT THIS PLACE (RUDE STAFF, DIRTY PLATES AND UTENSILS, AND MEDIOCRE FOOD) BUT STILL WANTED TO GIVE IT A SHOT...MAN WAS I WRONG.

My local go-to diner. The food is always good, fresh and clean and they have a good, varied menu. The staff are all mature, respectful and know what they are doing. In 3 years I have never had a reason to complain. It is still a diner, dont expect gourmet dishes, but all in all one of the best diners I have found in Jax yet.

Well, my boyfriend and I placed our order and was very excited to finally try this place. An elderly staff woman decided to point at us and talk to other customers about our disgusting tattoos. We will not give business to a place like that:) the server was very apologetic, but we cancelled our order and left!

The waiters/waitresses are so friendly and treat you like family. The owner is so sweet and friendly as well. I have tried lots of things on the menu and have never been disappointed. I go there 1-2 times a week just for the ranch chicken wrap! Great food, great home feel environment!!

This place is amazing! Food is great, atmosphere as well. The staff is friendly and attentive. On my first visit, I couldnt decide on what I wanted. My waitress was understanding and patient. She offered things based on what I told her I like. YOU MUST VISIT! !

Best kept secret in the Baymeadows area. A tiny little dinner hidden away with good food, great service, and excellent prices in a 50s-style setting. The paradox is that theyre rarely too busy to get a table.

Called in a order and was hung up on twice. When I got there the service was horrible and the $12 for two bad chicken biscuits and two coffees was over priced. Get more for your money, go to Metro Dinner.
