First time there and really loved it! Service was very attentive and helpful- we were in a hurry to make an appt and they really went out of their way to accommodate. Also got there at 11:15 and they usually stop serving breakfast at 11 (except on Saturdays). But they still let us order from the breakfast menu! Really the best bagel and egg sandwich Ive had outside of NY. And order was ready in about 3 minutes! Also some of the best coffee Ive had in a while. Legit good place. Kind of dinery, but perfect.

We always stop at a place when I see a sign with New York. This is how we came to stop for lunch at this most delicious, absolutely authentic deli. We are from NJ and know the pleasures of an excellent delicatessen. I had the godfather and my mom had the metro. Both were superb. The 15 bean soup was great. The coleslaw and potato salad were quite tasty. The cannoli is fresh and as perfect as it could be. Rice pudding, fabulous. Service, excellent. Support this business! We sure will. :)

I lov new york deli style food for its high qualitv taste freshness and also LOVE the large slices of new york style pizza. Authentic new york taste is hard to achieve and and find. If there is ample parking i would raise my prices to the selection that was above moderate. I recommend it mostly for its clean environment,family friendly atmosphere,and its swift and courteous high quality service and the feel healthier after dining experiene.

First time visit. Service was OK. Nothing special. Dining area is cafeteria style. Outdoor picnic tables. Ordered salads. The Greek salad was very good. Fresh greens and delicious chicken. I had a NY Chef Salad - added bacon. Not amazing. Fresh mixed greens but lacked taste. Both salads needed a 2nd dressing (additional charge). Plenty of ham and turkey. But- bland. (The special was fried chicken, it looked delicious.)

I ordered from work today around 12. The order did not make it here until an hour later and the things my co workers and I ordered came to me incorrectly some not at all. I was also charge separately for my items that were supposed to come together. Do not order delivery from here. The food is good but youre better off walking in.

Food was only warm and terrible! Many of my co-workers eat here regularly, so I thought I would try it. Parking is challenging to find during lunch time. I did get a table rather quickly, but the Fried chicken special was terrible and I got sick not long after leaving. Service is good if you are a regular.

Stopped by S&L today for breakfast and to go lunchs before heading to the beach. Their amazing staff took great care of me and my two friends Even cut my sandwich in to triangles for me. Very family friendly will most definitely visit again when I pass through wilmington.

This place is awesome! Great menu and the food is amazing. I appreciate that they have a variety of sides so you can choose a healthier alternative to French fries. The servings are very generous. The owners are so friendly and interactive. Would definitely recommend!

Good food. Like others have said I think its a little high for lunch. Service is great though. Today I was given a Coke from the waitresses personal stash because s&l only serves Pepsi products. Great customer service! I took off 1 star for the high prices

Friendly staff and tasty food. But they play John Boy and Billy during breakfast. So that can ruin the mood. And as some of the clientele wear their political leanings, it can be hard to get through your meal during this election cycle.

They have amazing bagels here and the atmosphere is really nice. Youll find many tables full of people just chatting and being able to see the hustle and bustle behind the counter adds to the appeal. Very nice place to grab breakfast

Its a little pricy for lunch and the size of the sandwiches. I think they brought the NY price to Wilmington. A lady got locked in the bathroom and a random waitress put someone elses drink on our table.
