It was not great. The noodles were overcooked (an Italian sin!), bread was nothing special, eggplant parm was soggy, and red sauce was burnt tasting and didnt have much flavor. Its a far cry from authentic Italian. The staff was also kinda weird. Constantly asking you what you wanted even when I told them I was trying to figure it out. Also pretty sure they were making rude comments. People who say this is a great deli are confused. My husband said his sandwich was mediocre and didnt have enough vinegar. I would go to South College deli for a good deli. The menu was also a bit confusing and in a couple of different areas. I tried some of a meatball and it was alright, pretty mushy. The only saving grace was the cheesecake. Never again!

The best deli in wilmington by far. This restaurant is in a league of its own. Nothing comes even close to the quality or quantity of food you recive. There lunch is to die for. There take and bake dinners make my Friday evening so smooth. There deserts are delectable. There is nothing I can find that is the smallest bit out of place or disordered. The shop is clean the dinning room is clean, and the food prep area from what I can see is spotless. There staff moves fast with a purpose. Always on top of everything and never making mistakes. My absolute go to lunch / dinner / take out / deserts / authentic small grocery. Theres nothing they do thats not perfect.

TOI has daily menu items including fresh "homemade" Italian favorites. From the chicken parm to the macaroni salad theres no bad choice here. Their deli sandwiches are fresh meats and cheeses. The available all day breakfast sandwiches are heavenly. Ive had multiple dishes and sandwiches and never been unhappy. Friendly staff and reasonable prices are the cherry on top. While Ive never purchased any of their dry goods, wines, or oils they seem to have a large selection. TOI is always a good spot for excellent, local food.

This is the worst place to get food. They have terrible customer service. I waited for 30 minutes to be waited on, and during that time, nobody even acknowledged me. The worst part about the situation, I only ordered sauce and bread, so no cooking was even needed!! It got to the point where I had to have a co-worker call Taste of Italy and say that I have been waiting for them to even greet me. Mind you, they did not even have the order ready!!

Stopped in and had the best coffee and breakfast sandwich (eggs, bacon and cheese on a hoagie). Dont know what they did so different, it was delicious! I would definitely give it a "10". I believe it is so good because of the quality of their ingredients... also took some fresh mozzarella home that they make in the deli... off the charts good, so fresh! They are all about quality and it shows in everything they do. Well done!

I lived in Wilmington for 12 years and cant count how often I ate at "The Taste". When I think of a real deli this is the place. Sadly where I now live there is no such thing as a good deli. If youre in the area you owe it to yourself to get an Italian or one of the hot dishes. Chicken parm would be a good place to start.

Been going here for 20yrs so this is long overdue. Food is always consistent and good. Best Italian sub this side of New York. The word has been out about this place a long time (Ive been helping spread it!) And it shows at lunch time they get very busy yet manage to keep up and get your food ready quick.

If you have never been here you need to make sure that you stop by because the Taste of Italy is a little hidden gem. The food is so good that you want to take all of it home with you all the time. The Taste of Italy is a family run business and the family and staff are awesome.

What a great place! While on vacation, my wife and I were told that we should stop in. The facility is great, the staff are nice and the food is authentic. By far the best meatballs I have ever had and the desserts were fabulous. I highly recommend A Taste of Italy!

This is an incredible place. We are consistent customers and were very disappointed to show up on a Sunday at 530, and hours posted said 6 and they were closed. As a chef and someone who has worked in several restaurants this is bad business.

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Wilmington. You get a lot of food at great prices. Everything is made fresh. This is a great place to get a quick meal or some food to go.

Some of the best Italian food you will eat and its so low-key that you hardly know it exists. These are the kind of overlooked locals that we need to pay more attention to and support.
