I have heard a lot about Chops downtown and eaten at the Wrightsville Beach location with no issues. I went to try and have lunch downtown yesterday with a friend. We got there, there was no line we walked up, ordered got our drinks and............ waited and waited and waited after waiting 30 minutes on a sandwich we ask about when the order would be ready they said in just a minute. After 45 minutes waiting on two sandwiches we went to the counter and got our money back. Terrible service, staff wouldnt even look you in the eye and acted like it was your fault for not waiting. Manager just walked up and started doing a refund, didnt ask what was wrong or how could he help. Worst restaurant service Ive had in years. We walked out agreeing to never return to that place. before I had gotten home we had shared the story with several people. Glad all I did was waste my lunchtime and not my money on a $30 lunch

The staple of sandwiches in Wilmington. Sandwiches tend to get boring to me... but chops has an elegant way of making new sandwiches with perfect combinations of the freshest ingredients that never gets boring to me. NOT TO MENTION, the friendliest staff and ownership in downtown. I know they take care of their employees, and it shows! They take pride in what they do... If you love supporting local businesses that contribute to the thriving community of this small town, look no further.

You will love this place! All of their sandwiches are creative masterpieces, and their sides are to die for.. all at a very affordable price! Saw a couple of reviews that were upset because it was busy, yes it is busy, but because it serves the best lunch downtown, and you cant blame them for that! Every time I have eaten here, the owner has come around personally to check on my meal, you cant ask for better service, this place deserves all 5 stars!

Used to be waaay better.before it was a fast casual establishment, where you ordered your food at the counter and they brought it out to you. Now they switched it where they have waiters only and the service is horrible.Had to wait for a half hour before a waiter came over and took our orders, then another 20 to get our food. Before it took 5 minutes to order and pay and another 10 to get our food.will not be returning anytime soon

Great selection of deli sandwiches and creative takes on classic side dishes. The owner obviously cares a great deal about quality, but did loudly correct employees in front of the customers a couple times which I found to be in bad taste. Good selection of local beer and very knowledgeable staff made for a great lunch, and a great change of pace from the rows of restaurants offering generic pub fare in town.

I LOVE Chops Deli but the new location was not the same as downtown-my favorite Chicago was on different bread, half the size and tasted different. Realize they have just opened and getting out kinks but the service was SLOW and just not the same downtown experience but I will surely give them another try as I am happy they are in my end of town. Look forward to your burgers and chicken....

This place here....is amazing. Your sandwich looks like a masterpiece and if it doesnt ooze greatness then you are missing out. This place is always hopping and its such a fun atmosphere, I go in and give the cashier 2 choices of what is on my mind and she picks for me and never lets me down. Their Monaco is food porn. Stop in to Chops to make your Wilmington visit worth while!

Great food. Only one waiting in line for 5 minutes. 3 waitstaff walking around with nothing to do but couldnt take my order until the girl being dictated a book standing in front of me on the phone would let them get to the cash register. She didnt. I ate at one of the other many choices downtown who dont take an hour to fix you a sandwich.

Best sandwiches in town, without a doubt. I havent eaten everywhere in the world but this place actually has the best sandwich Ive EVER had: the Malmo. My god its delicious. Friendly staff, great downtown location right on front street and Miss Vickies chips are the best! If Im downtown around lunch, Chops Deli is where Im eating.

My husband and I were visiting the area from out of state and stopped for lunch at Chops. Great sandwiches and great lemonade/orangeade (dont skip these!). We had the pleasure of meeting the owner who obviously loves what he does and cares about his customers satisfaction. If I didnt live in Ohio, Id be back here all the time!

Since renovation, this place has changed for the worst. A ton of new staff that are not courteous and stand around doing nothing. Slower than usual service. Ive been coming here for over 2 years and the recent change is so disappointing! I want my old chops back!! Very loud and not a friendly cozy atmosphere anymore ):

What can I say but......aaaaaaaaaaah! This food is outstanding! The best sandwiches in Wilmington, NC. I had the Tripoli and my wife had the Amsterdam, or at least half because I ate the rest. :-) The sandwiches are pricey but you forget the price after the first bite. Treat yourself at lunch and try Chops Deli.

I work at one of the Hotels here in Glenwood and have a lot of experience in dinning in this beautiful town. Chomps is the #1 place to eat lunch. Sit down or even get delivered the best sandwich in town. Go for the grilled chicken and provolone, you will not be disappointed. David your the man

I ordered a Constantinople with a gluten free bun and forgot to tell the guys behind the counter how good it was. Love the atmosphere at this place and the food was just awesome! By far the best sandwich Ive had in a very long time. Will return the next time Im in Wilmington.

This is a small little Deli and sandwich shop in Downtown Wilmington that is along the busy shopping district. It has a decent-sized menu with lots of fresh options, and is a very clean and organized establishment. Can get quite busy at lunch but the wait is never too long.

Wonderful food, great staff. Im always treated like an old friend when I go in. I often see Brad, one of the owners, floating around making sure everyone is having a great day and enjoying their food. Hes a character that always brings a smile!

Food and service was not good. They say they Will not serve egg whites? Too much work for the cook so I can get bad cholesterol! The food was gross and service was aweful. Sweet and savory is a better option than this place. Waste of time.

I come to Wilmington for work and this is the only place I eat when I am here... I always get the Manhattan and it is hard for me to try anything else because I cant imagine anything being better... I also hear the Plymouth is good...
