My husband and I and another couple decided to walk over to Hooters from our hotel we were staying at this past Saturday night. It was a fiasco from the time we entered the door until we left. Several times we contemplated walking out the door. It started with the hostess...she sat us right at the door and we were only able to watch one tv. I asked her if there were any tables available on the other side of the restaurant and she said no. Within 5 mins, a group of 3 walked in and the hostess sat them on the other side of the restaurant. (No one had existed making a table available in that section) It took about 20-25 mins before a waitress came to take our drink order; another 20 mins give or take to receive our drinks and to place our food order. They were out of Mich Ultra in a bottle. After placing our food order, about 30 mins later the manager, John, came over to explain to one of the individuals in our group that they were out of philly cheesesteak and asked her if she wanted to something else from the menu and he would comp her meal. After about 20 mins of waiting, we had to flag the waitress down to let her know that she was ready to place her second food order. The waitress was clueless and had not been notified that the kitchen was out of philly cheesesteak. Within 10-15 mins of placing the second order because they were out of the cheesesteak, our food arrived to the table and guess what so did her philly cheesesteak that they were out of. Although, the order was wrong as it had been requested without onions and it had onions on it. We had no silverware and were still waiting on our second drink order/refills. The manager, John, came over to the table and apologized blaming the mishap on his staff and said that he was still cooking her second food order if she still wanted it. She said ok. He then asked if there was anything else our table needed. And I said in a sharp tone, that we were still waiting on drink refills and had no silverware. He smirked and said in a sarcastic voice "ok" and walked away. After waiting about 15 mins for our plastic silverware because they had no more regular silverware, our meals were cold by that point. As we were finishing up our meals, my friends second food order finally came only to find out that it didnt appear to be fully cooked. During all of this, we watched as another couple a few tables from us got up and walked out after waiting for what looked like to place their order. A group of three stormed out from the other side of the restaurant. The kitchen staff told the manager they were out of mushrooms. And the table beside us was informed by the waitress they were out of hamburgers. We just laughed and laughed. A group of 6-7 guys came and in waited up front for several mins without even being greeted, I finally looked at them and said that I suggested they go somewhere else like Buffalo Wild Wings right down the road and went on to explain all the things they were out of, etc. They looked at each other and said thanks and turned around and left. At the end of this chaos, our bill was comped $45.00. Oh and outside the door, the trash cans were over flowing and there was food scattered all over the side walk and entry way at the door. That should have been our first sign. John, the manager is going to run this place in the ground. Not what it used to be.

So everything was going fine until dessert. The waitress asked us if wed like dessert, we said no thanks, we dont want to spend any more money, and she said shed be right over with the check. So far so good. Then she comes over with a platter of what appears to be little cheesecake samples. She tells us the flavors, and asks if wed like to TRY any. Key word TRY. We agreed. and my boyfriend and I each took one. A few minutes later, she brings over the check, and its quite a bit more than it should have been...it was the frickin cheesecake. I waved her over and asked her why she charged us for the samples. I kid you not, there were like two little bites in each sample, like enough to fit in your average shot glass...absolutely absurd that they should be charging us. Then she goes on telling me how theyre counted as dessert, so popular with the customers, blah blah blah....and says that theres nothing she can do about the check. Im a college student; in other words, I do everything I can to save money and afford school and everything else I need for my education and really DO NOT appreciate being swindled. Comeplete bs, and dishonest service. Will not be going again.

Came in and was seated rather quickly being as there was hardly anyone there. I waited for approximately 15 minutes without any of the waitress even speaking to me ...not even a I will be right with you ..can I get you something to drink ..nothing. two waitress walked by me, one walked by 9 times and talked to the table right behind mine and never spoke the other who walked by a few times and also never spoke. Seeing as this was at 10:30 at night on a Saturday and it wasnt busy , I should have realized at that moment it wasnt going to end well . Then I called the restaurant to speak with the manager who is a short white guy that doesnt like to come to the phone obviously as I sat on hold waiting for him for 10 minutes. Hooters corp..you all need to find DIFFERENT STAFF and a NEW COMPETENT MANAGER who could at least have the courtesy to come to the phone.

Been to this location twice since we moved to Wilmington. First time was for my sons birthday. Service and food was amazing. Tonights visit was lacking. They did not have salads. How do you run out of salad?? Luckily, they have a cheese quesadilla (my daughter is vegetarian and likes their salads) she could eat. I ordered the Baja Shrimp Tacos. They were a little dry, so I asked for a side of sour cream and too my surprise...they were out of that too! Waitress only came by table once while we were there. Very disappointed tonight. They were slow so you think it would have been a better experience.

Manager is a complete a-hole. We showed up 3 hours early to get a seat for UFC fights, right before the fights start he made us move to a table with people we did not know, so a group of 4 that just showed up could have our table. Didnt ask or speak to us first or anything. When i complained he told us if we dont like it we can wait at the door until a empty table opens. Worst managed Hooters/restaurant I have ever been to. Be ready to be treated like crap. The manager is the heavier guy with gray hair at the age of 30.

My wife and myself and a another couple stopped into Hooters to have a few drinks and dinner the bartender asks for all ours IDs and tells us its a new policy of Hooters even if they know we are old enough. My wife and her sister did not have their IDs on them the reason is we are all in our mid forties and this is the first time in years we have been asked for IDs,so instead of spending our $100 plus dollars at Hooters we spent it at their competition down the road.Hooters needs to let their staff use common sense.
