I am a lover of authentic Thai cuisine and was very excited to see positive reviews of this restaurant when I recently relocated to the area. Unfortunately, my fellow Googlers got this one all wrong. This was without a doubt the worst dining experience Ive had in years, possibly ever. From the moment we walked into this restaurant we knew something was off. The staff treated us as if we had ruined their lives by enslaving them to greet and serve us, and the decor was old, dirty, dark and frankly a bit of a freak show. We kept a positive attitude and hoped beyond hope the food would make up for the intro... but not even close. My dish, the Massaman curry, was drowning in oil and lacking in flavor and substance. It also arrived a good 10 minutes before my wifes dish so it was cold and sticky by the time I started eating. My wife enjoyed her sushi plate, Ill give them that, but was so put off and insulted by the lack of service and lack of care for anything at all (not to mention how long she had to wait for it), that she couldnt even enjoy what she felt was probably decent sushi. Im not sure what restaurant my fellow reviewers went to, but Im so sorry I wasted my time and money at Thai Peppers and would advise folks to try ANY other restaurant in the Southport area before this one!

This place knows Thai food and I think their sushi is the best in town!! EVERYTHING is super fresh and delicious, ive never been disappointed with anything I have ordered. The interior is a little outdated, but the food flavors make up for that. The pad thai and their curries are wonderful and if youre in the mood for sushi I would personally recommend the tuna tataki, Sea of Love Roll, and the Southport Roll. ABSOLUTELY DEVINE. Places like this make me love being a foodie. Give it a try, I promise it doesnt disappoint!

Ive been going here for over 10 yrs atleast once a week! I absolutely love this place. Its completely authentic which is why most people that review it thinks its bad because they have prob only had Americanized Thai. This is the best sushi in Brunswick county. And I know all the staff who are straight from Thailand and friendly and know what they are doing! I highly recommend this place if you want real Thai!

This was the absolute worse dining experience I have ever received or lack there of. The service was extremely slow. Had to get up to get my own water. Kids are their food before mine even came out. I sent mine back because I had to leave because of the hour wasted on waiting. When I complained to them they just said sorry. I am sorry too That we decided to dine here. Absolutely will not be returning ever.

We were excited to see local Thai option for dinner. Had take out. Abrupt & unfriendly by phone. Ingredients seemed fresh but food was nothing special. The noodle dish i ordered didnt include seafood in the description, but it was floating in a sauce that smelled & tasted fishy. My husbands dish #29 was dry and bland. May as well ordered cheap Chinese food.

Awesome authentic Thai food!!! Service is friendly and efficient. The negative reviews about the food at this place must be written by people who do not really understand what authentic Thai cuisine is! We often come to Southport from Wilmington primarily to come to this place but to also enjoy beautiful Southport.

Likely the best Thai food in the area. The curry is amazing to the extent that I start having withdrawal symptoms when Ive gone too long without it. The sushi and pad thai is also very excellent. This is my go-to place for a great meal. My only complaint is that on some days I think the service could seem friendlier.

A reliable Southport favorite with excellent, attentive service. Thai food is very good and sushi is excellent. The sushi bar is closed temporarily but should reopen soon. Although decor could use an upgrade, they celebrate July 4th in style!

But we sat for 10 minutes without anyone even acknowledging our presence. The place wasnt busy, but the wait staff was completely chaotic. Luckily, we left and went down the street to Provisions seafood and had a fantastic meal on the water.

The food was hot, the beer was cold, and the service was impeccable. Our entrées were delicious, and my 15 month old loved the chicken on a stick appetizers. The thai iced tea was also on point. Very good experience all the way around.

The quality of food had diminshed in the last 2 years. When we first stared going to Thai Pepper, I would say it was excellent, now I would say it is just ok. I am not impressed with the quality of product lately!

This has been our fallback Southport option for years. The sushi is fresh and delicately prepared. Very low key service. All the traditional Thai choices are above average. Consistently consistent.

An amazing experience! Wonderful staff! I eat sushi and Thai once a week all around the east coast and make sure to travel monthly from pawleys island to southport just to come to thai peppers!

Always have a great meal when I come here. Though it is hard to find close by parking during the lunch and dinner hours so if you plan on eating here prepare to have to walk to the restaurant.

Excellent Thai cuisine!!! Wait staff was superb. Best Thai Ive had in the States. Prices were comparable to most Thai restaurants. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.

Twice weve been here on vacation. It is the best sushi weve ever had. The servers are friendly. The interior and ambience is a bit dark and dated. But the food is wonderful.

I love Thai Peppers! My family and I come here quite a bit. Our favorite time to go is Fridays during lunch because they serve Coconut Soup!

This rather simple, humble restaurant has the best Thai food in the state and beyond. Large menu, everything is good there.

Every time I go in I get amazing food. The sushi is the best in the Oak Island/Southport area if not the entire county.
