We pulled up to Toreros about 10 minutes before they were supposed to open, but the parking lot was completely deserted. There werent hours posted on the door, but since Google lists their hours as opening at 11, well hang out. Read on, this review explains why there was no line at the door. When they did open, we were seated right away, and we checked out the all-you-can-eat buffet. Meh.. So lets order something from the menu. The food wasnt bad, wasnt great. The cheese dip we ordered with the chips and salsa (err, I mean tomato juice) was the best part of the meal. What prompted me to write the review though was that Toreros charges an extra $1.25 for a to-go cup for your drink. What? The server apologized for this policy even before I had a chance to ask him why. He was clearly embarrassed, and I felt bad for him, he said the owner is watching his costs. I guess I dont blame the owner for watching costs. He needs to. Eventually this policy will cause what repeat customers he does have to dine elsewhere. I know I certainly will be.

I was just ask to leave this establishment. Reason, I had a dog with me, A SERVICE DOG. I informed the person that it was a service dog and I had my paperwork with me. Not to mention the dog wearing his bright red vest and his Id tag on it. And that it was AGAINST THE LAW to refuse us from eating here. This person just look me right in the eye and said that it doesnt look like a service dog to him, turn around and walked away. My blood is still boiling and its been 2 hours sence this happen. I am hoping that any person out there that is reading this will look someplace else then to go here. I couldnt tell you about the food but everything else about this place is not a place you want to take your family. The people there are RUDE, INCONSIDERATE, and dont follow the laws dealing with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Fred S.

Awful....chips, salsa, and kids cheese quesadilla were fine...but how can you mess those up?? My wifes and my food was terrible. She ordered battered fish tacos based on the menu stating the dish had a special sauce (Chipotle Ranch). She received taco shells with slabs of fried fish.....no toppings and NO chipotle ranch...just fish. I asked the waitress, and she looked bewildered. "Let me ask the kitchen." 5+ minutes later she returns and says, "We dont have that sauce anymore." Even though it was part of the features in the description! My Chili Verde was dry and tough. Very little of the Verde salsa and it was very thin and tasteless. My wife stated "I cant believe I am paying $50 for a meal I am completely dissatisfied with." Couldnt be said any better."

Decent Mexican joint. Used to enjoy it more in the past than I do now. Quality of the chicken and beef used in most dishes seems to have gone down over the past year or two. The salsa is also thinner and less flavorful than it used to be. Im wondering if theyve cheaped out of the quality of ingredients due to the addition of the buffet? They have a lunch buffet, but I usually order off the menu anyway. Prices on most items are fairly reasonable, except for the $2.50 sodas and teas, which with tax and tip comes out to about $3.15 - yikes - but some other restaurants charge as much or more. I drink lots of water these days when I done out. Located on the back side of a shopping center, not very convenient access.

This is one of my local favorites, I usually eat here at least once a week. The food is good quality for the price, and the portions are large. Some dishes are better than others, and some are better deals than others. My favorite is the Pork Carnitas. The dinner specials are a good deal - portions big enough for two people for about $10. The prices have gone up since they moved to their current location, back when they were at South Square, my wife and I would split a dinner special and get a couple of (alcoholic) drinks for about $15 including tip. Its not quite that cheap anymore, around $20-22 now, but still very reasonable.

Parizade offers an attractive Italian fare of pasta, fish and various steak and chops. Unfortunately, the appetizers and salads are a bit too pricey for me. I dislike finding a basic salad for $12. Really? The wine menu is barely adequate, largely because there are enough really good wines at a reasonable price. Not enough quality AND reasonable Cali Coastal Cabs and none from Spain [at least from memory]. Any restauranteur should be able to find a bevy of pairing wines that are reasonable. Else it conveys an unpleasant message.

Its been a while since Ive been to this Toreros (as there is one closer to my work), but today we tried out the new-ish lunch buffet for $6.95. Ive always like Toreros but was a bit skeptical of the buffet. And then I tried it. Very, very good! The food was fresh and hot and good with a large variety (traditional Mexican fare as well as chicken nuggets and fries for the kids). Everyone in the party I was with thought it was excellent. Now that Ive tried it, will definitely be taking more lunch breaks there.

A very nice and clean Mexican restaurant. The staff is polite and friendly, even if English isnt everyones strong suit. I was very impressed with their meats, they were all cooked very well. The tortilla chips are fresh, but the table salsa is a bit... Uninspired. The portions are large, some bordering on huge for the dinner plates. The drinks are good, and have a decent kick. Overall I was impressed with my first visit. I expect to return soon to try more dishes.

This place was just horrible. My fiance and me are trying to find a good local Mexican restaurant and this place is not it. The food was flavorless and felt slopped together. The service was equally horrible. Not at all an enjoyable experience. We both had high hopes for this place but we will not be returning here. Not worth the money.

This place puts La Hacienda, Cinco de Mayo, Monterey, & Bandidos to shame. Food is better, portions are larger, salsa regular and hot is better, flavors are more unique, & price is hard to beat. And some locals are giving this place a bad rating, really? Because this place is awesome, and the other local options are mighty slim.

The food here is good and it is modestly priced for the quantity you receive. The lunch buffet is well done and the beer is cold. The fajita sampler is a step above. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a nice outing with the family. However I do believe this place could be far better with minor changes.
