My family enjoys dining here, because hey Mexican food is good when they get your FOOD RIGHT, but the last two times I have been busy and requested take out. TWO TIMES IN A ROW THEY HAVE COMPLETELY MESSED THE ORDER UP!!!! When they give you without spilling or ruining the bag, plus, WHEN YOU ORDER SOMETHING SUPER SIMPLE YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULDNT GIVE YOU A COMPLETELY FOOD TWICE IN A ROW, in addition to not even putting the on it!!! TWICE IN A ROW now I have to cook dinner after paying for a nice takeout meal I was very excited to eat. As I sit here with my cheap microwaved hotdog (Dont have anything ELSE because we were GOING OUT and I cannot eat what they gave me) I just have to warn you, if you get there make sure to check EVERYTHING because apparently their staff is unable to understand BASIC ENGLISH. You can be assured I will be calling this in in addition to making sure in the future me and family WHILE NOT BE EATING HERE, UNLESS WE HAVE TIME TO GO IN, SIT DOWN, AND WAIT FOR MULTIPLE REVISIONS TO OUR SIMPLE ORDER my God I am put out with this place you ahve no idea

I frequently ate here for years. Family and co-workers would come from out of state and this is where we would eat, but not anymore. I ate there on 6/08/13 and my food was not good. I had chicken pasta and the onions were burned and the green peppers werent cooked at all. It couldve just been my taste buds, however when I complained and asked to order something else the manager was rude. He told me I couldnt just try different things and decide if I liked them because it cost them money..... HELLO I am a paying customer, so it costs me money if I want to order something else. He never apologized he just took my plate away and left the table. me nor my family or co-workes will go there again. Everyone there had terrible customer service that day.

Ein schönes Lokal mit sehr netter Bedienung. Wir haben gleich nachdem wir bestellt hatten ein paar Tortilla Chips mit Dip bekommen. Das Essen kam sehr zügig und war ziemlich lecker, wenn man in der nähe ist sollte man sich das Lokal mal anschauen.

Beware of eating at this restarant in rocky mount . Youll never know what you might find in the fajita quesadilla , as I was eating my fajita it became extra chewy , I soon realized that I had something in my mouth , i spit it into a napkin , and was totally surprised to find a bread tie , ( a piece of wire wrapped in plastic ) thankfully I didnt swallow it , BUT what would have been the outcome if a small child would have swallowed it , potentially deadly , BEWARE if you EAT THERE

Mexican food isnt something that I crave regularly, but if I want Mexican, I want El Tapatio. My usual go-to menu item is the Carne Asada Burrito. Since this is one of the California Style burritos, it is HUGE, so Im definitely not still hungry when I leave. The staff is always pleasant and quick to respond. Also, the restaurant was recently outfitted with new tables and chairs made especially for El Tap, and they are beautiful!

Pretty standard decor and setting for a Mexican restaurant, but the food wasnt standard at all. The tortilla soup was some of the best I have ever had in a restaurant, loaded with fresh avocado. My entree was the Carnitas in salsa verde. Extremely tasty dish, the pork was moist and flavorful, and the spanish rice was so far beyond the typical flavorless rice cooked in salsa that it wasnt funny. Highly recommend!

I love this place, always have. My food was great, my service wonderful but the margarita wasnt good at all! Dont understand bc they are always great. Couldnt drink it , ordered tea. But didnt get charged for it. That was the whole reason I wanted to go there was for the drink.

El tapatio is my favorite restaurant that provides authentic Mexican cuisine. Everything from the chips, salsa and queso dip to their chimichangas and tacos are delicious. Also very reasonable pricing for the amount of food. Is typically very busy on Sundays but worth the wait.

Wasnt very happy here. Pulled up 30 minutes before they closed but they looked closed. There was a waiter standing outside so i asked if they were open. He said yes come in. We parked and walked in. We sat at a booth and then were told they were already closed.

Great food and atmosphere..my family and I always enjoy when we visit. I know its a Mexican restaurant but I feel the wait staff should be a little more fluent in English. The restrooms are always clean. Will definitely return and recommend

My grandpa got a fajita quesadilla with a side of a BREAD TIE!!!!! Dont eat here unless your suicidal!!!! If you love your family do the right thing!!!! If you like your food chewy this is the place!!!

I really love the tacos and the salsa! Prices have gone up so a cheap meal is now $8.75. The service was decent but used to be better. I used to go here twice a week. Still run by the same people.

We have loved el Tap for a long time. Service and food is ALWAYS good. If you are in the mood for Mexican you cant go wrong coming here. Best Mexican restaurant in Rocky mount hands down!
