For starters, where the place is located, lets just say I had to look around first because its in an abandoned shopping center! Once we walked in, the lady at the cashier said "busquen donde sentarse" other words, find where to sit yourself. (We were fine till that point) The wait was ok, you could really tell he didnt want to be there though. I ordered a Margarita and drank half of it until I noticed there were flies in some pieces of ice. Flys and Mosquitos and other weird looking bugs...gross! I didnt say anything until I looked up, (once I noticed that I knew I shouldve went with my gut feeling, and started looking around) there were bugs crawling out of the frames on the wall, not to mention the dust! Im NOT a picky person, whatsoever with where I eat. Keep in mind I didnt tell anyone about the bugs in the ice...I just dont like to make a big deal out of things! This place is gross and Ill never come back! We eat out very often but this is one place that lost my business for good! I dont know how it has so many good reviews on here...i really dont! It may be because those reviews are so old.

Look, if you want perfect "just-like-home" mexican food, go the f**k to Mexico. Is this mexico? No, its Raleigh, NC! And you can call it tex-mex all you want, but the food here is AWESOME!! We ordered 4 enchiladas, 2 chimichangas and some rice and beans and they said it would be ready in 10 minutes! We were kinda weary about that, but sure enough we got there 10 minutes later, and it was not only ready, but it was nice and HOT! And boy oh boy can you say DELICIOUS!!! I wanna go back and get more!!! hahaha. And the prices are FANTASTIC! WITH tax, our order came up to $15.00!!! =O I was shocked!! I seriously wanna go back right now! hahaha

My family has gone here every Sunday for lunch for 5+ years. The food is very fresh, with huge portions, and the $4 lunch special is a great deal! We have our favorites: grande burrito with an amazing spicy white sauce, huevos mexicanos, and chicken fajitas. They are generous with refills of all kinds - drinks, chips, and salsa. We love the waitresses - they feel like family - and were always showing each other photos of our families. Lets just say this is a Sunday family tradition we wont be giving up anytime soon!

I always get the chille plabanos reloes $1.75 for one and they are hugeee food is great and great margaritas. I wrote this 3 years ago, and my fiancée still frequent this place at least once a week. Tonight we came in at 9:40 ordered to go, and had a beer each, and a shot each. Bill came under $30... I love this place, and the way they operate their business. Authentic traditional Mexican food, prepared well!!

Probably the worst dining experience Ive had in a long time. Wasnt greeted at the door so I sat at the bar- for 10 minutes before someone even came over. Took another 5 to get my drink- seemed as person had never poured a beer before. Restroom was filthy. Took forever to get a menu, then a refill on the drinks. Lady held my card for over 15 minutes when I was paying. Lesson learned.

My husband and I moved to Raleigh a year and a half ago. We have been coming here several times a month. This is one of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in the area. They are clean, fast to serve, friendly, big portions, and the price is great! We have been to several different Mexican restaurants in the area...but this one by far is our favorite. We will keep coming back.

I love this place. Best Mexican food ive eaten out ever. I wish they were closer to me, but i stopped by here with my cousin the other day and it just reminded me of one of the reasons i miss living on this part of town! lol Fantastic prices, nice people, & warm environment! My favorites are the yummy tamales and the beef enchiladas with extra cheese & rice + refried beans!

This place is great. The night I went it seemed to be a little understaffed ( I imagine someone wasnt able to show up or it was busier than what they had planned for) but the food was GREAT. Compared to other spanish resturants the queso dip is tastier, the chicken is thicker and cooked much better and it is all around better food. Definitly going to visit them again.

Ordered thru GrubHub and the food was salty and cold upon arrival (1hr wait). I ordered some flan and they were out (I was refunded) so I decided to order some churro s instead. Why!!! They were dry and tuff. I had to place my entire order in the oven in order to eat. They fumbled on this and chances are I wont order from them again.

My wife and I eat here often. (2 times a month). The food is great, service is fast and friendly and it gives me an opportunity to practice speaking Spanish. The help just smiles at me when I try to speak their language. A fun place to eat and visit. Will continue to enjoy the Mexican flavor so well prepared. Love it.

Been eating at this restaurant for nearly 25 years and never had a bad meal. Dont listen to any bad reviews on here because they are plain wrong. The only suggestion I do have is for the place to be moved to cary. A lot of customers feel uncomfortable coming here due to the level of danger posed in this side of Raleigh.

Visitor from out of state and i have to say the food was amazing and two of us ate for about 20 bucks. Had the chimichanga (one beef tip and one chicken), beans and rice. The meat was full of flavor and the beans tasted authentic. Staff were extremely nice. Will visit again the next time Im in the area!!

Yeah if anyone thinks this is authentic theyve honestly never had Mexican food. Dont mean to smash on this place but this food sucks(like it was frozen, the place smells funky, and the aesthetic makes me feel a little depressed. Theres way better places in Raleigh so save yourselves a trip and some gas.

5/5 on their big shrimp quesadillas & texas fajitas. Their beer specials are no joke, I got their special of the day and I get like a 36 oz mini-pitcher mug of dos equis for 5 bucks. This is a place youve passed many times and never noticed, time to take notice.

Will never return!! place looked dirty. service was terrible. certain dishes overpriced compared to cleaner and better mexican restaurants. Their menu had a lot to choose from but when I ordered they said it was unavailable. Never ever returning.

This place is awesome and is by far my favorite mexican restaurant in Raleigh. I love their salsa, and everything on the menu that I have tried has been delicious. The staff is super friendly and the food comes out very fast!

When my family visits from out of town they always want to come here. Ive gotten sick the last two times we have visited. The price is fine, the bathrooms could use some work, and overall cleanliness could improve.
