This used to be our go to place for Mexican food. We just went for lunch and it was awful!!!! We ordered a shrimp quesadilla a standard Mexican dish and instead of the usual shrimp portion with onions, peppers and tomatoes they charged me the same price for 4 shrimp on a small tortilla and a little cheese and no sides. When I ordered I asked what sides came with the dish and she said the usual (no rice, beans nothing came on my plate) I told the waitress this is not what I ordered. I ordered the quesadilla on the main menu (not lunch) and I order this every time I go there and she said "oh we changed our menu its no longer on there this is what we have now." I asked the price assuming it would be less and it was the same price as before. Instead of offering to fix the dish she acted as if she could care less that I asked for the old item. Didnt try to help fix the situation so I just ate my four shrimp and left. My moms dish her chicken was dry as well I think they are getting cheaper with the ingredients. Too bad I used to love this place it took me forever to find a good Mexican restaurant now I have to start looking for a new place in Wake Forest. So disappointing the service is usually great and even though the servers are really young they are usually great. This young lady could have cared less if we were happy she just wanted to rush us to order and get us out the door. I will never take my business partners or family to this restaurant. Its too bad I do PR for a company and events for businesses and Chambers I used to suggest them all the time now its a bad recommendation from me. Hope you can get your act together.

Terrible! Only went because Discount Tire had to get my mom new tires. Figured we would walk across to have lunch to kill some time. 11:30 am on a Saturday. First customers of the day. Waitress was friendly but terrible! Mom ordered an unsweetened tea with lemon. I ordered a water with lemon. No lemon for either of us and no ice or it melted in the tea. Mom asked for sugar substitute like a few splendas. Never came back with them. Mind you, we were the only ones there at that point! Came back with our orders. Mom ordered the Llaquergaque lunch (three mini Chimmichangs). She got the Chimichanga lunch (one chimi with different sides). So had to wait about 10 min for her to check on us again. We requested lemon for our drinks AGAIN and I asked for hot sauce and we informed her the order was not what was ordered. She apologized and put in another order. They were going to take her plate (she already started eating because she didnt want me to wait for her) I said no leave it we will take it home, dont want it going in the garbage. So my hot sauce never came. I had a few bites of food. It was awful. Yuck. No seasoning, chips and salsa too are bland as hell, food is bland, beans are runny and nothing on my plate had an ounce of flavor. Terrible service!! I Will NEVER go back! I do not recommend. Shocked about the positive feedback about this place. YUCK!

Left work early and took my girlfriend here for dinner. Normally go to lunch here when its a lot slower, but had a terrible experience coming here for dinner. Waited to get seated which is understandable during the dinner rush, but when we finally were able to sit down and the waitress slapped a bowl of stale chips down in front of us, we then proceeded to wait 30 minutes before a single service member came to talk to us. We finished the chips and continued to wait, eyeing all of the staff that walked past and even had some people look at our drinkless table and closed menu. Eventually I started to actually get hungry and, wanting to eat, just up and left the restaurant. The hostess who seated us politely thanked us on our way out because, to her, it had been plenty of time for a normal party of two to have finished ordering and eating when in fact, we werent even able to get a drink. If you want to eat, go somewhere else.

Meh... My husband and I went here for date night because we kept hearing about it on the radio and weve driven by 100 times. Staff was friendly. Service was pretty good. The drinks were on point. Really good bartender. Portions were good size. So why the * * * rating? Food was so bland we were instantly disappointed. No spice. No heat. Minimal seasoning. Anyone from the west coast thats used to the kind of Mexican food you get in Arizona and California is going to be disappointed. To be clear, it was not terrible. It just wasnt that good either. People around here seem to love this place, but we wont be going back... Except maybe for drinks.

I came here once and had a pretty good experience, but my second visit was ruined by terrible service. We had to wait for someone to take our drink order, wait for the drinks, wait for a chips and salsa refill, wait (and wait, and wait) for our food, and finally, wait for our bill. I took it up front to pay so we wouldnt have to wait again for the server to take it. We never got any drink refills at all. Its a shame, because my food was actually quite good. It just wasnt worth waiting 45 minutes for.

Sad... Went there with 2 other couples, who have been multiple times before with good experiences. But our Fajitas came out burned! Mistakes happen, but their attitude about it was terrible! Mostly they denied any wrong doing! The manager said, well, our skillets are hot... When they mixed up the virgin pina colada and the non virgin pina colada, and my wife had a allergic reaction, they denied it too! Sorry, aint going back!

We visit Tlaquepaque about once a week. Originally from Texas, its the best mexican weve found in this area. They are very reasonably priced, and their margaritas are no joke! Ask for the "white dip" with your salsa, its not on the menu, and its so good! Its clean, the staff is friendly, and service is quick, about standard. They have a large variety on the menu, and will customize most things so Ive experienced.

My husband is a very picky eater so Mexican food was never an option for my family until we decided to try Tlaquepaque. Now, we eat here about every other week. The manager is very visible and friendly, and can be seen helping his hosts and wait staff with seating or running food. The service is great and the food is delicious. It is my three year old sons favorite restaurant, and its one of mine too!

This place is la bamba. I eat hear a few times a month for lunch. Their food is fresh, delicious, and fairly priced, and their staff is quick and friendly. I always ask for a bowl of salsa picosa to go with the chips, and theirs is the picosaest around. Recently Ive been getting the taco salad, which is filling, but not so much so that I need a siesta afterwards. First Prize.
