90.5 sanitation grade 04/20/2017 - inexcusably low since there are raw seafood and uncooked meats to include pork, chicken, octopus, and shrimp in containers. Many booths have rips that need repaired or replaced. Aside from looking like a dated disorganized mess, the wooden dining tables need refinished, walls need paint, and bad decor creates a busy and confusing atmosphere. The place looks and feels dingy. Half dim lighting does more to help cover up problems than their intended purpose of decor and ambiance. The flavor and variety of choices are good. The all you can eat price is not bad but it would be more of a value to pay slightly less for one or two bowls which is what most will eat anyway. Most puzzling is that precooked food you select and place in one or two round bowls are cooked and then served back to you DUMPED on a square plastic reusable tray with no plate or bowl whatsoever! Imagine Mc Donalds serving your hamburger and fries onto a very similar plastic or nylon tray with no wax paper or foil? No. This cannot be sanitary even if these finely grooved and etched plastic trays are washed. Even my many animals eat out of stainless steel bowls! Service was not rude but it was terrible. The waitress disappeared and we waited for at least 30 minutes for refills and napkins. Since they do not take orders or bring food to your table it does not appear to be an impossible task. They were however johnny on the spot to swipe tips from tables but to get their attention by raising your hand was difficult. While my disappointment continued to escalate I could not help but notice all of the cameras mounted in the ceiling and wondered if the owner(s) or manager idly sit back and watch bad service in progress? Checkout was a complete mess. The same wait staff are also responsible for the cash register which sits on a small cramped table next to a wall also with three cameras pointed down. Awkwardly their backs are toward the guest(s) who are standing behind waiting to check out. Their system of keeping track of tickets appear to be complete chaos. Since they rarely come to your table we went to check out without our ticket to avoid sitting another ten or twenty minutes. Management is clearly lacking and no one looked to be in charge. The restaurant was not busy (thankfully) and my best guess would put it at 40% capacity. Our group of four spent a little over $70 with one trip to the grill, four teas, and one beer. We tipped $5.00 which was more than generous. If we had received average service our tip would have been $12-$14. Slow and pathetically inept servers plus an approximate twenty minute wait time for your meal to be cooked while you stand in line is underwhelming to say the least and not something I would want to do over especially at this location. My advice to the owner(s) is to CLEAN, replace, or repair the obvious and use the many installed cameras to either correct problems or watch this place eventually go out of business.

7.26.2016 -Will not go back to CF on Spring Forest. Our family used to love this restaurant, but I had not been in over a year...I was excited about the buffet-style selections and decided it would be a perfect choice for tonight. Checked their website for any updates or changes in menu, etc. Saw that one bowl was $8 and two bowls were $10, but that they also offered a $2 discount for anyone over 65. Arrived to discover that all you can eat for $12.99 was their *only* offering for the dinner menu. When I asked about the $2 discount, the server said shed have to ask b/c the website was old and needed to be changed but no one knew the password ..thus the prices were wrong. You guessed it... there was no senior discount, either. Determined to make the best of the evening b/c this used to be a great dining experience, I forged ahead. A sign on the buffet line said that if meat was 50% of the bowl, the bowl would count double. Didnt deter me b/c mine was supposed to be all you can eat. Still trying to be objective. Long story short: all you can eat turned out to be one bowl. The brown rice the cook added was loaded w/ coarse black pepper flakes that made it HOT and tasteless. I had used spicy sauces, so that only exacerbated the situation. [ I have *never* seen tons of black pepper in rice before, but thats the way it came out of the steamer, and I didnt catch the uniqueness until I got to my booth.] The buffet line did not have as many selections, as I remembered, but I could be wrong there. Seemed short on fresh veggies. Lots of duplicates. Anywho... after I choked down one bowl, I was ready to GO. Waiting to pay my server at the cash register, I watched two businessmen check out the buffet selections and turn to head out the door. Wise choice. My bill for my one bowl was $13.87. I told the Oriental lady, whom I presumed to be the manager, that they had really changed in the past year. No reply. I did not check for the restaurants grade, as I normally do when I dine out, but this time... I think I prob dont want to know. Giving it one star b/c it wont post, otherwise. Very disappointed...good memories, but not this time.

Ive been to several Crazy Fires in the past, and always had a great experience. I think the idea is great, and the food is good. Recently however, I had a pretty bad experience with the Crazy Fire on Spring Forest, right off Capital. The hostesses and servers were not very friendly, and the guys cooking the meal were not helpful at all either. They didnt really keep an eye on what all they were managing, making me wait about 7-8minutes longer for my meal when i put it on at the same time as my girlfriends. In addition, before we could go up for a second bowl, the line grew to a 15 minute wait before you could even get your food started. This means that you had to stand up in a line for at least 25 minutes just to get your bowl cooked. Not really what you are looking for when you go out to eat. After my girlfriend and I decided not to wait in the line again, we asked if we could just pay the 1-bowl to go price of 7.50 instead of the all you can eat price of 11, since we only had one bowl each and we did not want to wait half an hour to get another. The servers and hosts very rudely said no, and did not get a manager until asked. The manager was also unwilling to make any concessions at all, and simply told us "we got busy". All in all, i found it to be a very terrible way of running a business and I will not go back to eat at that Crazy Fire again. If youre looking for good service, this is NOT the place to go. ~Dissatified customer
