We decided to enjoy a hot meal at the Speakeasy restaurant. After choosing the Cordan bleu and the wellington we noticedthe restaurant was not very busy After waiting 35 minutes, we received our dinners - sorta of. My wifes meal was correct but only barely warm and 4 tiny asaparagus that had endured a tough upbringing was one of the sides. The Irish would have been impressed with the amount of potatoes as the other side, although they lacked any character. My meal was an old airplane on the railroad tracks- it didnt resemble what I ordered. The first time it was not what I ordered and I was still waiting on the salad to come out. At this time, the people next to us got their dinners and got up and left! The salad came out. The second entree came out cold and alone with no supporting vegetables. At this time, I called the waiter over and asked for the manager. She was busy with another issue and came over shortly. I explained my issues. She apologized and said they were having issues with the kitchen. She offered to get me something else from the kitchen and I declined as I didnt wish to wait another 45 minutes for more culinary surprises. She said she hoped we would try them again and I responded not after finding our hotels rooms bathroom with other peoples hair on the floor and dirty. She comped our experience. Its odd to leave a restaurant hungrier than you went in! Time wasted - 70 minutes.

My first dinner there I was not so impressed. The wedge salad had something of a brownish color along the cut marks and to cut the tenderloin steak shook the entire table. Despite my reservations from my first night, I did go back the next night and I had a wonderful salad with delicious fresh strawberries and blueberries and then I had a really good pulled pork sandwich. Also I had a pumpkin spice martini which was delicious while listening to very good lice music.

Has potential to be great, but it is hit and miss. The menu has not made any major changes in almost 3 years and the manager seems to be more interested in running folks out of the place rather than welcoming them to stay and enjoy themselves. I have had to wait almost 15 minutes to get a drink because there was no one behind the bar to tend to the guest.

Good local draft beer selection ~ 6 from the Virginia area. Good service and prompt drink delivery. The live music was really chill and added a lot to the ambiance. Only got the reban spring rolls, but was very happy with them. Perfect for out of towners looking for good food, beer/cocktails, and taking in some of the local culture

Looked promising. The food was good but didnt blow us away. The portion and quality didnt quite match the price. The Apple bread pudding and Apple pie were tasty but were not warm enough. The tiny scoop of homemade ice cream tasted good, but as my girlfriend put it, "that is the most expensive scoop Ive ever seen".

Got the strip steak and it wasnt cooked the way I ordered and was tough. My potatoes and asparagus was cold and was swimming in red meat juice. Yuck. Nice place for a drink and a snack. I have eaten there several times and the food is just or miss. Kind of pricey.

Delicious and interesting food menu, super friendly staff, good atmosphere. Had tacos on special for $1 each because it was Tuesday. They also had homemade pork rinds which are to die for. Will be returning once in the area again.

The wings were the smallest Ive ever seen. One wing wasnt even an inch wide. Chicken was also poor quality and borderline undercooked. On the bright side, the restaurant was nice looking

Cassie is awesome, great personality, the Speakeasy is lucky to have her. The food is very good, nice selection of options daily along with daily specials. The beef stew is amazing.

Decent pub type atmosphere. Good burgers and a mix of other entrees and sandwiches. Opens at 4pm weekdays (may open earlier on Fridays) Attached to a historic hotel (The Mimslyn)

The 12 wings for $6 is a great deal.. if only the wings tasted good, had meat on the bones and was cooked fully. All wings were the size of my thumb.

The nicest restaurant in Luray. They make a good Manhattan and can cook a decent entree. Impressive setting too, at the Mimslyn Inn.

Great bartender and the food was the best we found in town. Kinda small and gets over crowded really quick.

Great atmosphere. Food was good for the money. Service was a little bit in the weeds.
