My family and I never tried Peruvian cuisine before going to Mami Noras. We had visited the Raleigh location previously, but now are excited to see that they have opened a location closer to us in Cary. Each one of my family members enjoyed the food, and atmosphere at both locations. This is by far the best rotisserie chicken you will ever taste! The blend of spices in their marinade accents the chicken so well making it incredibly juicy and flavorful. Next to the chicken, my second favorite is their black beans. I do not know what they do to them, but I enjoy them so much that I order them as both of my side dishes. Since I like my food spicy, I like to add their green sauce to the black beans. I am not sure what is in the green sauce except for maybe some cilantro, but the heat definitely builds along with the flavor of the sauce. I would love the recipe for both the chicken marinade and green sauce, but I know that is just wishful thinking! My husband is always looking for restaurants that serve hand cut fries, so he was very happy with them as his side item. We decided to try the yucca fries as a new experience. They were interesting being like a mashed potato consistency inside with a crispy outside. The sauces were a good compliment to them. We topped off our meal with the maduros, which are fried plantains. They tasted similar to the ones my Cuban friends used to make for me years ago. I have been a mystery diner in the past, and typically do not give 5 star ratings unless everything is exceptional. This restaurant does everything right. After several visits to two locations, we have been very happy with the quality of the food, portion size, price, friendly service, atmosphere, and cleanliness. If you want to try a new place that will not disappoint, give Mami Noras a visit. This is a local restaurant that my family and I will continue to visit! Welcome to Cary Mami Noras!

Let me start with the positive: Very clean and staff was nice OK now for the problems: I spent 48 dollars on food that was below subpar. The food was extremely salty not flavorful. Im from the island so I know the difference between layers of flavor vs. adding salt. I ordered the Steak over rice (I wrote in my directions not to put this over fries they did it anyway and I didnt know until I got home ready to eat) it was overcooked and tasted like I dumped a ton of salt to season. Very disappointed. OK so I also ordered a quarter chicken dark that was not cooked well, it lacked color and was pink inside. My kids immediately spit their food out. Also had fried plantains that were half burned. Oh purchased the fried rice which was the most decent of all the food we ate dont get me wrong it wasnt great either but tolerable enough to eat. Lastly, we ordered 2 drinks that were very weak in taste I think it was horchata and some other purple drink I think it taste like it was made from hibiscus. Well any who. I dont understand how this place was rated so high unless otherwise think salty means flavor. Im from Miami and Ive eaten the most amazing Spanish food from several so I know enough to judge this horrible eatery.

This newest store for a local Peruvian chicken chain follows the usual Mami Noras formula but just does it better. While the location is not convenient to me, the delicious wood-roasted chicken and sides (rice, black beans, yucca fries, maduros, etc) are as good as all the other Mami Nora locations. What makes this spot better is the large dining room and quick service. Your food comes out a lot faster given the extended counter service. Grab a 1/4 or 1/2 chicken, order up some sides and an Inca cola and youll be happy. Grab some utensils self-serve and youre ready to tear up into some wonderfully flavorful and moist chicken. Mami Noras serves it up with some creamy and spicy aji sauce to add some punch, yum! A nice change of pace foodwise that costs just a bit more than fast food, Mami Noras should be an easy choice if youre hungry and need something quick. Who your mami? You are Mami Noras and you always will be if you dish out food this good!

Love this place. The food is fast, fresh and absolutely delicious and the staff is super kind. When I want a great and healthy take out to bring home after work without going bankrupt this place is my go to. Seriously Ive never had better chicken and their yucca fries are a guilty pleasure and the maduros are great. The dipping sauces are awesome, but watch out, the green one has a kick. For something super refreshing try the chi cha morada, its a purple corn drink with spices and fruit juices. They make it in house and I love it on a hot day. This place really is the best. Love the Durham location too. Always been curious but never gone? Give it a try, they are really helpful and honestly, you cant go wrong.

Thus place is a disaster. The Alpaca near Costco/ the one in MinI City are worth the drive. The food is not as good, fresh or made to order here as it is elsewhere. Our beans were ancient, the rice clearly nuked from yesterday and the chicken? Sheesh... Forget that the flavor was terrible, an 8 pc chicken is not an 8 pc chicken and the tea urns are straight RANCID. Im amazed the health department has not shut this place down yet also sad this joint shares the same name as such awesome places. Our gringo waitress was still outside and never noticed wed left. Have the pic to prove it.

If you are in the mood for some tasty Peruvian food, Alpaca is a great place for lunch and dinner! I love the chicken, but the salads and specials look appetizing as well. Try the yucca, both fried and cooked with butter, for a healthy replacement to potatoes. I also enjoy the green beans, plantains (tostones), and maduros. They have a three item side plate that I love to get to take home as a compliment to any meat dish. Fast and friendly service, good food, great prices, and a cozy yet accessible dining area, will keep ME going back for more...

A gem in the Research Triangle, serving up fast casual chicken and Peruvian dishes that are mouthwatering. Pair that with the homemade sauce and fried Yucca and a beer and you have a killer meal at a reasonable price. I love the green sauce, but the yellow is good too for those who dont like spice. This is one restaurant that I hope becomes a large chain and is available everywhere. This is food I will recommend anyone try when they travel through the area.

Me being from NY and my experience with multiple cultures of cuisines, this place didnt give me that WOW factor. I love that green sauce...a very nice touch to kick up some flavor. Customer Service was good except for a loud and large obese girl that talks offensively loud for what reason Im not sure..... Otherwise food was displayed and presented as a very nice reminder of how home cooked food is presented at my table.

Diving around looking for something different to try for dinner this place caught my eye. Glad I tried it. Not wanting a big chunk of meat I tried the Arroz chaufa. Which I then found out was the Peruvian spin on Chinese fried rice. It was amazing. The dish was very flavorful. I also then tried it out with the spicy yellow and even spicier green sauce which are freely available. Yumm. Would definitely go back.
