Gateaux cakes are the most delicious and unique cakes with a variety of flavors anywhere in WNC. We had three birthday cakes made in one weekend - a delicious and moist German Chocolate cake for a 65th birthday party and a lemon blueberry cake with buttercream icing for a 92nd birthday that was a putting green with a flag in the green that said 92.The third birthday cake was a three layer cake to feed 150 people for my mother in laws 90th birthday dinner.We had two flavors- carrot and lemon blueberry and the cake was decorated beautifully with buttercream icing and a very whimsical design with the most unique sparklers that said 90 on top. Lindsay and Corrie are delightful to work with and make every event feel like it is the most special for your family. Love the service and the personal touch as well as the delicious cake.

The store is classy and very clean. The cashier was friendly and knowledgeable. We tried the lavender and honey as well as the banana split macarons. They were both overly sweet and the lavender had too much lavender which made it very strong and perfume-like. We also had the red velvet cake and the white chocolate almond cupcakes. The red velvet was kind of gritty, tasted of baking soda and not enough cocoa. The white chocolate almond didnt taste of white chocolate at all but a large amount of almond extract as well as being too sweet. The icing wasnt sweet enough and was almost like eating butter. The amount of icing to cupcake ratio was about the same of each, very unbalanced. I wouldnt go back.

Gateaux Cakes and Pastries catered my familys luncheon this past weekend with quiche with home made crust (asparagus and ham; tomato-basil; broccoli and bacon; mushroom and onion), plus 7 dozen macaron (6 flavors: pink champagne, banana split, lemon, lavender and honey, chocolate raspberry, and mint chocolate). Everyone and I mean everyone came back for seconds, so Im glad I ordered extra! Lindsay is a master artist and baker. Everything was done on time and to perfection, and at a very reasonable cost. Gateaux took a major amount of stress off of me during a very busy weekend, and I can not thank them enough! Cest magnifique! Je taime Gateaux!

Lindsay was amazing! She made our wedding cake. Our experience from the communication and professionalism to variety of flavors and allergy accommodations was great! She was flexible and understood what we were looking for. Her attention to detail was great! We will definitely come back here again to try her other bake goods! She made the whole entire experience of planning one of the most memorable part of a wedding extremely easy. We received so many compliments about the flavor that we decided on! We cannot thank Lindsay enough for making making such an amazing cake!

Lindsay is the ultimate professional. She has moved back to Hendersonville from the D.C. area . She grew up here and has opened a great storefront in Hendersonville. . A friend who lives in the area recommended her for our wedding cake. It was delicious and gorgeous! She was easy to work with and wanted to please. She arranged a wonderful tasting which really helped us decide. It was still tough as she does so many great combinations. She has great innovative combinations plus classics like Carrot cake . I highly recommend Lindsay and Gateaux Cakes.

Everyone loved the 50th Anniversary cake Lindsay made for my sister and brother-in-laws party. There were positive comments galore from the guests. The white cake with lemon curd filling was delicious. Lindsay did a great job matching the coral color of our bridesmaids dresses from the 50 year old photos I gave her. Since I live out of state, I mostly communicated with the owner Lindsay by e-mail. She was very responsive and so easy to work with. She did an amazing job with the birthday cake I ordered (exactly what I wanted) and it tasted great! The cake design wasnt easy and she really delivered. Would highly recommend her!
