Stopped here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with a group of 5 adults and a baby. It was crowded, but there were still empty tables inside and outside. The weather was temperate enough to eat outdoors so we sat there, and their porch area is pretty nice. We didnt have to wait long for the food, and everyone in our group seemed happy with their orders. I really enjoyed the tempeh sandwich and highly recommend it — lots of flavor. The Mediterranean salad is also very good. I appreciated that they use organic ingredients in their fresh breads. The staff was friendly and attentive. Bathrooms were also very clean and I was so grateful that they had a nice diaper changing station. Will definitely be back to visit soon to try more from their lunch menu and bakery.

Great atmosphere and delicious baked goods and pizzas. The bagels are amazing (although they have a different texture than any others Ive tried). The scones (sweet and savory) are always a great breakfast treat, and are moist, rather than dry and crumbly, which I love. Really, you cant go wrong with any of the breakfast pastries. The tartlets, the croissants, the danishes....they are all great! And lunch is no different. The wood fired pizzas are excellent, as are the sandwiches. The fresh baked bread makes them oh so delicious! Love this place!

Everything is excellent. So often local coffee shops/bakeries have so so coffee. All the ingredients they source are local or from quality vendors. Their everything bagel with pumpkin seeds is a favorite. So glad they started offering bagel sandwiches with egg. Inside dinning is limited so it can get quite cozy during the winter months but the patio is huge with great shade trees. Lemon danish, apricot pinwheel and blackberry danish are top notch.

Wow, this is simply the finest bakery every. Perfect, every time. They have Gluten Free Pizza that is yummy to my tummy. Also, latte is better than Starbucks. Enjoy fine Organic Food that does not contain Nazi Germany GMO poision at the Flat Rock Bakery. You cant go wrong here. Family friendly, wood fire baked artisans make the best food ever. If this bakery did not exist in the Village of Flat Crack Rocks NC I would never visit the Village.

Stumbled upon this place and what a find. The food and bakery items are as fresh as you can get. I had Chicken salad and wife had lentil soup. Both were as good as weve ever had. Went back the next day to sample the wood fired pizza. Had the wild mushroom and added the homemade Italian sausage to my half. It was some of the best pizza weve ever had. Seating and parking are tight but dont let that deter you. Dont miss this gem.

Service was lacking. Put croutons on my salad when I stated gluten free. After eating our lunch I ordered a tea and a gluten free item from the case. I got the tea right away but had to ask about the other item. It wasnt busy but the staff was distracted. That being said the food was still really good. Just be prepared for lack of service.

This place has great breakfast food. Havent had lunch here, but we have eaten here twice now and it has been as good as our favorite bakery in Asheville. Very impressed and good prices too! Looking forward to going back. Will be going more now that we realized it is right off of the highway on the way to and from Greenville to Asheville.

Simply amazing! My family loves this place. The food is unparalleled, the outside seating is super relaxing and comfortable and the people are nice. The only possible downside is that it can get packed. We drive an hour to go to this place, but we love to go a few times a year. It is an experience I recommend to everyone I know.

I got a savory tart and a latte here and the tart was delicious, but very cold. The latte on the other hand was disgusting and almost undrinkable. The store itself was also very messy during my visit (out of forks and honey), but it had a very nice deck outside to sit and enjoy a meal and conversation.

Pizza is OK, a bit salty for my taste. Seating limited especially indoors. Stand in line to order food oftentimes waiting for others to make their selection on baked goods behind the glass can be frustrating. Self porting table when done. Half price on day-old bread is a bargain.

They were out of coffee when I arrived. I ate in and the coffee finally came out just before I was ready to leave. My sandwich was burnt on the bottom. They had home made tortilla chips with no kind of sauce. My cinnamon roll was dry and lacking any kind of favor.

Absolutely love this bakery! We stop by everytime when were on the way to Hendersonville or Asheville. The bread is very good and the sweets are heavenly. Lots of good vegetarian options if you decide to order pizza or coffee too!

Great lunch, we love good pizza and this is great pizza. If you are in the area, it is a must go. The baked goods are not to be missed either. If youre looking for dinner, West 1st Pizza in Hendersonville is the same.

The wood-fired pizzas and pastries are amazing. Great coffee. They use a lot of locally-sourced ingredients. The outdoor dining area on the deck is very nice in warmer weather. Lots of shade from the magnolia trees.

By far my favorite Bakery in Hendersonville! Delicious food and a great place to visit! Only down side is the indoor seating is limited, but if its a good day for sitting outside they have plenty of outside seating.

Stingy cashier - Dropped in for a cup of coffee. Asked for a large cup for my medium coffee so I dont spill it all over my lap.. Denied. I also got a chocolate croissant and there wasnt much chocolate in it

The bake goods were delicious. But the chicken salad was very bland. The chabatta bread was extremely tough. Next time I would try their pizza it looked tasty. I will go back to visit again.

Love everything about this plane. My wife is a huge fan, we make it a line to visit FRVB at least once a month. Bread and other bakery products are amazing too.

Love this place and love the food and the cheerful staff. My salad had sandy, gritty lettuce recently. Please consider carefully washing the lettuce. Thanks!

We love this place. It is my wifes standard by which all gluten-free pizza is measured. I thoroughly enjoy the wheat-based pizza, as well as the bread.

Coffee is always excellent. Unrefined flour makes all the made from scratch pastries and breads more hearty and less guilty. Atmosphere is very nice.
