Never have I ever been so upset with a dining experience in all my life. First off I ordered a Mt dew to drink and when I finally got it it didnt taste right so I ordered a different drink.. I thought ok no big deal its just a drink. Then I ordered a filet and chicken hibatichi dinner which was more than $25 and I ordered my steak rare with fried rice. My dinner came out and the steak was not a filet and it was well done. The rice was not fried at all and had a weird taste. I literally only took one bite before I requested politely that it be fixed or if I can get something else. The waitress said shell be right back and in walks what I think was the manager. She told me the steak was filet and that I was crazy because no one else was complaining about the rice. And I said ok maybe I just dont like it so I politely asked if I could get a steak with the proper cook on it. And she said ok. Not 5 minutes later the cook came in and very rudely told me to not complain about his rice. That he cooks it just fine and no one else was complaining so I was being ridiculous. I was literally in tears. They did all of this in front of my children. I have never felt so disrespected at a restaurant where Im paying for a decent meal. The service was terrible. The waitresses had no idea what was on the menu and to top it all off it is my birthday! Screw this place. How rude and disrespectful. Will never go here again and I do NOT recommend anyone else try. The food I did eat was not good. The only thing I liked was the salad... And I love Japanese food. Just terrible. If I could give a negative star I would. Happy birthday to me.

The worst Japanese restaurant I have ever eaten at. For the price I was expecting a finer dining experience, but the service was bad. The waitress took over 20 minutes to get our drinks with about 3 tables in the whole restaurant. We order the steak and shrimp and I asked for it med rare and the shrimp well. I got the complete opposite. My shrimp was raw and my steak was very well. It made me wonder if they were mocking us. Putting that aside I order a couple of sushi rolls and I noticed my sushi rice was just regular long grain white rice that they put vinegar in. It was absolutely disgusting. Do not eat here. It is a waste of money.

When I first walked in they looked at me strange like they werent used to seeing plp walking in alone, they didnt ask "just you" or anything else they literally just stared at me until I said, just me. Then it took forever to take my order that a barely have enough time left on my lunch break to eat my sushi. The sushi wasnt bad bit it was a little lack luster compared to Japan inn that I had yesterday. On top of that my rolls didnt even come out together. But this place was 5 dollars cheaper. Over all would definitely choose Japan inn over the place but it was ok.

I usually go to Wasabi 88 but we went to Shogun instead and were wowed. The Hawaii roll was one of the freshest and most balanced roll Ive had. There were a ton of specials that piqued our interest. The service was fast and polite and Caitlin, our server, was personable and knowledgable of the menu and specials. We will be back.

The service and atmosphere are really nice... the deals are great like the $3 wine and 1.50 beers but the quality of the fish is so so... not the best sushi ive tried but again..the service, atmosphere and if u just need a decent place to enjoy a drink or two this is a good place...it is not bad sushi..it is just okay...

Ive heard good things about the sushi but opted to try the Hibachi (Chicken/Shrimp) w/Fried Rice.......HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED! The rice was like bad chinese fried rice w/vegetables (peas/carrots) in it and the "white" sauce (more like yellowish-orange) was not what was expected AT ALL! TERRIBLE 1st experience!

Been going since 2006 (the old place was Tokyo). Hands down the BEST Sushi in East Carolina! Roll are HUGE! Service is FAST! Leo, the owner, is SUPER GREAT! If you get a chance to sit at the sushi bar, just watch him and his crew work. Youll see for yourself the delicious they make.

Hawaiian roll is best I have ever tasted. Very, very fresh seafood. Best sushi and rolls ever! Thank goodness I live locally. I would travel pretty far for this food. I have had "the best" elsewhere that is not even close. Never disappointed me or my friends.

We have eaten at Leos restaurant (the prior Tokyo) and now Shogun for over a decade. His dishes are second to none. My family is constantly amazed at how beautiful the dishes are and even more delicious. Hands down best Japanese food in Greenville.

Good food, not great service, and leggings should not be allowed as pants by the hostess or other workers. Worst experience there.
