It has a lovely look, and a good beer menu on tap but no mixed drink menus to speak of. The bar tender was extremely slow to even acknowledge two new people at the bar, and it wasnt even busy. If they couldnt get to us right away thats fine, but passing by four times without even glancing is... not the sign of an attentive bartender. With the general feel of the place, one would hope for a more satisfying experience. Theyre relatively new, so Ill give them another try or two but it was a poor first experience, unfortunately.

Criterion feels like a bar from a bygone era. It has an odd (in a good way) Gatsby type of feel. Great drinks though, and a wide selection of beer. One of my favorites. Update from months in: I still go here all the time. Abby is a definite pusher and gets me right drunk fairly often. Jeff is an inscrutable, unflappable dude that makes nights out approximately 327% better.

If you like deep, rich wood tones, a warm feel and a great beer selection, I highly recommend Criterion. The bar itself is from New York originally. Everything from the bar, to the stools, to the warm service has character galore. Get there.

This place has the atmosphere of a 1920s feel. A better selection of single malt would be great and if the bartenders were more appropriately dressed the experience would have been a 5 star. Collar shirts add class.

I go here for drinks after work. Nice little wooden vintage feel. Its an awesome bartender there named Jay.. Oh and Jeff. I always enjoy the music there when they work. They close at 2 on the weekends

Not a bad place, I was just expecting more based on the other reviews. In my opinion, the crowd and staff seemed a bit on the snooty side. Overall experience and ambiance were average for me.

Nice and Mellow. Its not too crowded and very easy to get to. In the heart of downtown the classic meets modern bar is great for some drinks after a wonderful date out night out on the town.

Great bar, old time feel, great draft selection. This is a classic " beer and bourbon " kinda bar. Crowd tends to be diverse with no hang ups. Come casual or dressed, youll fit in.
