If youre looking for a bar that has a community feel, where everyone are friends with everyone regardless of "human" status, youll be at home. They have good Friday/Saturday dances; Sundays they have small performances. I love that they support artists, youll see art around the cozy room. The wine/beer/cocktail options are good too.

I felt respected and received really good service here especially in a town that is increasingly becoming hostile to POCs. The bartender ran out of my choice of adult beverage and gave me a similar option that I was happy to drink.

Nice underground bar in the middle of downtown Durham. The decor is a mix of opium den and Grandmas house, complete with decks of tarot cards, weird art, and random old furniture. They make some great drinks here though!

Cool atmosphere. Reminds me of a speakeasy...great cocktails and awesome venue for local music. Love the ambiance. You should check it out if you are looking for a cool spot in downtown Durham.
