I took two of my neighbors daughters today and had a fun filled event until we ate at American burger on S. Church St. We went in to get some fries sat down at the bar proceeded to eat the girls taught me how to use Snapchat and all the little doodads on it. We were taking pictures having a great time when right before we left I was having a good conversation with one of employees she was telling me about her day and upcoming events when the manager made her leave and he proceeded to ask me was I videotaping the employees and the place and it was making them feel uncomfortable. He said that employees came around me I was hiding or putting down my phone. I told him I have no idea what hes talking about the girls and I are taking pictures of our selves. This is a place where they have seen me frequently because I work for a company that is uses their establishment. So I was very taken aback by this line of questioning from him. A customer has the right to use a cell phone in a place of business. He did not ask any other person other people were on their cell phones.I came in as a customer and was being treated like a villain. I know I will never visit or use this is Establishment again the manager name is Jeff Kalhmorgan !!! In a place that feels uncomfortable being on video makes me worrisome. A restaurant should welcome any camera into their establishment because they are that clean and on top of their game. This place must have something to hide. To be that worried if someone is videotaping them. I am disgusted and appalled by the treatment. To do this in front of the children is appalling. The manager was acting extremely paranoid. Be wary of coming to this establishment.

Pros: Decor Cons: Burger, Rings, Fries + Price "Worst burger in Charlotte." Details; Went on Monday with a few work colleagues. This was definitely the worst burger Ive had in a long time. The fries were undercooked and had negative taste. I’d rather have Wendy’s. The quality was below sub-par and left everyone feeling like they just purchased a more expensive fast food. (My friends had a few of the lunch special burgers, and I had the Ally burger, which ended up being $12 dollars. This was worth more like $2-3 based on quality/taste) Conclusion; I dont recommend this place to anyone. For the quality and price, you could do a lot better in Uptown.

I work next door and have been here at least 6 times. Every single time they mess my order up. The food is about as good as you would get at a restaurant in a theme park and at the same high cost. Today was the last straw, charge a $1 up charge for green chilli, and its just a smear not real green chillis, white bun instead of the wheat bun I ordered, so $8 for a sub-par burger. Man this place sucks.

Far and above better than fast food, but not completely amazing. Great solid choice though. If youre in the area and want something good, go here. If youre looking for "best burgers in Charlotte" Im not sure I would put it on the list. Service is good and staff is friendly. Overall a solid choice. I have lunch here often because I work close by.

Not worth the time or money for a burger that tasted as if it just came out of the freezer. I was really excited to see a dedicated burger joint open up. What a great concept too in terms of theme. I always taste the meat quality first before digging in. I was expecting so much more. Need some alternatives? Go to Latta Arcade.

Went in on a Friday night, not busy but took 40 minutes for a takeout order and didnt pick up the phone when called in earlier to place a take out order. Had to walk into the location to place the order and still had to wait. Understaffed and not worth the wait. Will avoid this location in the future.

I wanted to order a kids meal grilled cheese and was told I was too old! I had already been to 2 restaurants one was closed and the other I had to climb upstairs. So I was already ticked. And then the heffer told me I was too old...
