On my way to Asheville, I got of the higway and decided to take the local roads and check out the local scene in North Carolinas finest Hills and mountains or the back woods at its known. I came up to this very authentic Mexican restaurant lots of food to choose from. I order enchiladas while my guest had a Tortilla bowl of avocado, meat and salad mixed in, also 3 Coronas with a typical Orchata, drink that consist of a Milkie sugary ingredients of Mayan Aztec culture very tasty and satisfying. I finnish off my enchiladas it was very good a lil salty due to to much melty cheese, but over all the meal was very good for a North Carolina Southern Comfort backwood restaurant. Drop by and check it out the staff were excellent and the service was very good its one of a kind from this part of the neck of the woods its the Southern Comfort way.

My friend and I had the taco salad and my niece had a burrito and my her little son had chicken tenders with fries. The food was great, the service was on spot... If you havent already been, shame on you... You gotta go to get the true experience... Love the service...

Its a great Mexican family restaurant. Theres a salsa bar with 4 kinds of salsa and other delicious things to dip chips in. Great quality, consistency and taste. Canelos is authentic and fast. Great owners, and can have an adult beverage or three if you choose.

This was take out....... . My order wasnt correct , had no flavor, didnt get any salsa with my chips. sour cream looked like it was 2 weeks old and now its the morning after and now Im sick. I dont recommend eating at this place.. you will get sick as well

Service was very friendly but the restaurant was not very clean. My wife and I also ended up with food poisoning from improperly heated bean dip. It was the only thing we had eaten in common before we became sick. Dont recommend this place.

Took recommendation from previous reviews, even tried the chori pollo. Family tried arrow con pollo (A.C.P.), & kids quesadillas. Very good food, really enjoyed the salsa bar! Very friendly staff. Will be back when we are in the area.

They have a salsa bar that just adds a wonderful kick to whatever you order . The staff are always courteous and the food is great ! Live local to this place and go often . Also, reasonably priced too !

Basically great Mexican food, but they refuse to give an itemized bill with pricing, and the bill varies wildly depending in which employee actually rungs you up at the end. Great tea, good salsa.

Authentic, great food! Great service and atmosphere! We had ground beef tacos, cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, and queso dip. Frank was our server and he was friendly with a good sense of humor.

Its affordable and delicious!! Great service too. We stopped on our way to the Biltmore house. It was a really good choice. Try the Choripollo. Amazing.
