To preface this... I base all my chinese food restaurant reviews on the General Tsos chicken. They have the standard Americanized chinese fare so no surprises there and the food came out hot and on time. Unfortunately the General tsos sauce was terrible and just tasted like corn syrup with no seasoning. I couldnt even finish it due to the sweetness and lack of flavor. Skip this place, theres much better international restaurants in the area.

Many times Family Garden has messed our order up, but we stupidly keep going back. Why? I guess we like wasting our hard earned money. Dont waste your time or money with this so called restaurant when you call to tell them that you received the wrong order, its always your fault. Let me tell you, when you own own a business and you want your customers to come back, treat them with RESPECT. MY FAMILY WONT BE BACK TO YOUR CRAPPY CHINESE FOOD!

I travel for work and have been to several Chinese restaurants/take outs within the Columbus, OH. In my opinion, Chinese Family Garden Chinese is a hidden gem. This Chinese take out provides delicious food, generous proportions, fast service and good value for your money. They have a variety of entrees and combinations. Ive been coming here for a few years now and have no real complaints. The food is decent for the price and its usually promptly available. Never had a bad experience here. Sure its not the highest quality stuff, but you dont get dinner at PF Changs for 2 with egg rolls and Crab rangoon for $20 either lol. Its a decent value, the food tastes fine, and its worth checking it out.

Ive been going here since i was a kid, like 5 and 6 years old, i am now 19 years old go there on my lunch break, I love the food for the price, yeah you dont get served with white napkins but a gem in the rocks of columbus would def be it, I love this place, never been disappointed, will continue to go back for sure :)

I love this restaurant. I normally dont write reviews about Chinese restaurants, but their food reminds me of the delicious food Detroit used to have. My only complaint is the ppl that take the order over the phone could be a bit more patient and nicer.

Ordered carry out for lunch, and even though they made me something other than what I ordered, the dish I had was good (and spicy - which I like). It did have a bit of saran wrap in the middle of the rice or it would have been 5 stars.

Food is always cooked properly and promptly. Spicy food has great flavor. Hot and sour soup is a good mix of vegetables and broth is well seasoned. Ive been going to this location for a long time now and never had a problem.

Seriously folks!!! for the price? You get what you pay for and more. ALWAYS FRESH AND READY IN NO MORE THAN 15 MINUTES....if you have not yet indulged you should. I would recomend this quick chinese spot to anyone.....

The wor sue Gai was the worst I ever had! Lady was handling money and touching food without gloves. She also was chopping up lettuce straight out of the plastic. The chicken was dry and tasted like it was refried..

The food is great and in good portion for a hungry man. This is the best food at the best price in north Columbus --- and they really are a nice Chinese "family". Even the kids help out sometimes.
