Best wings you will eat in the state of North Carolina. I have read the reviews on this place and some are giving the place and the owner a bad wrap. I am hear to tell you em r wings has some of the best food in this area, and yeah it is not the newest upbeat place, but it was my understanding you go to a resturant for the food not for the atmosphere. Most of the bad reviews have nothing to do with the food, and that does not make a lot of sense to me. You can not complain about the owner, or the way you were treated somewhere and say the resturant is horrible. All i am saying is there are two sides to every story and working with people all day long i have found out most of the people who go on these sites and write bad reviews are A) mad at the world, or B) ignorrant of how rude they are therefore causing the service they got. You may ask yourself why i care so much about em r wings, and why i am defending it. Well i will tell you i was born and raised in apex nc and have been eating at em r wings most my life it has been through a few different owners, but a few things have remained the same. Great food, nice friendly people, and most of all the best wings you will ever eat.

This place absolutely sucks. I ordered the bone less winks with mild souce and a grilled chicken salad to go. After paying and getting food I open up the bag and there is sauce over the 2 take out boxes. When I open up the box and look at the chicken the wings are over cooked/fried. There is no sauce on the actual chicken and sause was poured in the bottom of the box and not on the actual chicken wings. When opening the box with grilled chicken salad, the actual salaed is wilted and nasity. I return and asked for the Manager who identifies himself as TJ or DJ. I show him the food and and how there is sauce all over the boxes and how the salad is wilted and nasity. He actually tells me he sees nothing wrong. I insisted to give my money back. The Manager TJ or DJ, whatever his name is tells me he sees nothing wrong other than the sause thats all over the two boxes of food. This place absolutely sucks and so does the attitude of the Management!

We were in town visiting a friend. After we left we Googled a place close by to eat. Apex wings had a decent rating so we got directions there. When we arrived to the aged shopping center that the restaurant was located at we almost chose somewhere different due to the appearance. I suggested we try it because there are local places in High Point, NC we love that we would never have tried if we had this same mind set. I am glad I made that statement and we tried Apex Wings. The service was great and the wings were phenomenal. My favorite flavor was the parmesan garlic, we also tried Thai chili and sweet habanoro. Was a great experience we almost missed out on. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for casual dining in the Apex area.

This was my first time to this restaurant and it was not the best experience. I called in a to go order and the first time I called, I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up on. I tried calling back for about five minutes and got a busy signal before I finally got through. I ordered 50 wings with blue cheese and ranch. When I came to pick them up the staff was not friendly. I discovered that 50 wings (for a party) came with ONE ranch and ONE blue cheese... Im not sure who came up with that but I dont know how four ounces of ranch could suffice for fifty wings.... I had to pay $1 each for more. When youre spending over $60 on wings you expect to get enough sauce. I will not be coming back.

Well, had to try the wings since a few people recommend them. Wings were average size not small and they were not burnt but just right. I was not a fan of the wing sauce. I had the mild which had no spice whatsoever. I would call this a butter sauce. My recommendation would be to add some more ketchup to the mix to thicken it up. I then had the chicken wrap which was much better and chose the BBQ sauce. This not being resturant made was not to bad. Side was potato salad which was OK. Food came out fast and bartender was very nice. I call this bar more of the corner bar or dive bar.

If youre looking for great food (especially wings) in a relaxed environment and a little tongue-in-cheek humor on the entrance board ("we dont serve women, so bring your own") then head to Apex Wings. Tucked away at the end of an older strip mall near downtown Apex, this place is a favorite of locals who know where to go for friendly service, top notch food & drinks and a laid back atmosphere. Try the Shearon Harris style wings if you dare (named after the local nuclear power plant) and the fried mushrooms are the bomb!

Great wings! Variety of flavors and heat. Sauces are good, wings are crispy and meaty. The quality and quantity is just right for the price. Love to go here for work lunches. The hamburgers are also good. Waitress is quick and friendly. Atmosphere is informal, sit down restaurant with bar, and sports on overhead TVs, this place is attended mostly by locals. Carry out is available. Hard to find this restaurant, nestled in the corner of a commercial building, no street signs, gotta know where to look for this hidden gem.

I dont know what people around here are thinking but this is the third restaurant in the area with four stars Ive eaten at and the food was worth a three star rating at best. I call to order a 10 piece mild and a 10 piece BBQ. I was told they are sold in 10 and 25 piece increments and I should get the 25 with the sauces split among them. Uh, what? Ooooooookay, whatever you say lady. I pick up the order and see the wings split into two take out boxes. One look and I could tell I was duped again. Damn you Apex!

No matter what other people say about this place, everyone from the owners to the entire staff are awesome and friendly. They ve treated me well since day one and that was a year ago. Im truly thankful for excellent service, awesome people and the food is the icing on the cake. Never judge this place by the location or the bad reviews that someone wrote looking for a chain restaurant , go by and see for yourself. Its the perfect neighborhood bar!!!! F O J baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive had wings in about 20 different cities from some of the "best wing" places. Im very particular about my wings and am one of the pickiest wing eaters around. These are without a doubt the best wings Ive had in the Raleigh area. Killer hot sauce and fantastic sides. Plus the prices are fairly reasonably. Wife had a wrap that was great, we look forward to trying more off the menu, but come here, have the wings. You dont be disappointed
