And we still come regularly! We LOVE this little hidden gem! Our ONLY complaint is that they are not open later! We love the food so much, we recently celebrated a family Bday here. Their noodles and duck sauce on arrival is welcoming and always crispy, the pu pu platter is always tasty and fresh, their soups marvelous and steamy hot and if you enjoy wonton you will find delicately filled noodles, no chewy clumps here. The endless selection of entrees, Chinese, Thai, Japanese or vegetarian will suit any tastes, and they gladly adjust the spice or in my case create my dishes without mushrooms. Service is friendly, quick and your meal ends with fortune cookies and fresh orange slices. Portions will have you taking home enough for lunch the next day and speaking of lunch, GREAT deals if you can get here during their lunch hours! Cannot say enough about this little hidden gem! After living in NYC for several years, this is what I was missing after I moved home! For anyone new to Asian foods, their menu descriptions are accurate and the staffs (all family) English is excellent, so language is not an issue if you have questions. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

My family & I stopped in this restaurant last weekend hoping to find a quick take-out joint for a relatively inexpensive lunch. When we walked in and saw the beautiful sit-down restaurant, we thought it might not be what we were looking for. The young woman behind the counter told us we could certainly order anything wed like for take-out and gave us a menu. We were all so impressed by the selection (Chinese, Thai, Japanese & more) and great prices! They have lunch specials around $4, with soup or eggroll & rice. We only waited about 10 minutes for them to cook it, and while we waited, they sat us at a table & served us hot green tea for free. When they brought out our food, they asked if wed like a free Pepsi too. We were in love with the experience before we even tasted the food! And the food was even better! Light, crisp, fresh ingredients very clearly just cooked for us. Soup was wonderful and nothing was heavy or greasy the way most fast-food style Asian restaurants usually are. All-in-all, this place deserves 5 stars & I hope you can enjoy it with your family too! We will definitely be back :)

went there at 915 pm Thursday after a friend came in from NYC only to eat there dine in .. and the 2 men at the main desk looked at us like we just ruined their party night and said we are only open for take out now .. sorry...... while others were dining at the time .. so we had to leave i feel they open hrs should reflect this..... moving forward .. my guess would be the owner would have thought differently .... but thats just me ...

First and foremost this restruant offers incredible food, great portions and incredible service. The front of the house is ran by sisters who are not only friendly and attentive, but are also not afraid of a friendly conversation. This for me created an ambience that is not only welcomed but unfamiliar in the realm of Asian takeout. I am not only a local but a food enthusiast and i will indefinetly be back for more of what Asian Star has to offer.

My wife and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Asian Star.The food is always fresh and flavorlul. YinYin and Ming Min (aka Anna & Melody) are friendly and sweet, and not only remember you were there, but what you ordered. We have gone back several times, and the food is always top shelf. Weve recommended the Asian Star to several people, and everyone thanks us for introducing them to this jewel in the south towns. Just tell them Michael and Terri sent you..

Absolutely wonderful! Delicious food and amazing quality ingredients. The menu is huge and has Chinese, Thai, Hibachi and other selections. My family and I had Vegetable Dumplings, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Wonton Soup, Beef and Snow Peas, and a vegetable Thai dish. Everything was nice and hot, came out quick and was delicious. Were going back tomorrow for lunch! Thank you Asian Star for giving is superior service and quality food!

Ive never had asian food in this price range cooked so nicely and with such excellent quality meat and produce. Everything is very fresh. This is my new go to spot! Wonderful atmosphere for dining in. Great staff, proficient, welcoming, and extremely kind and polite. Generous portions. Tasty. Thank you for such a wonderful dining experience!

I get take out from here all the time. It is the best Chinese food Ive ever had and after going gluten free, the best gluten free Chinese food as well. You will never be disappointed in the food or the service. They are friendly and welcoming time and time again. After a while you feel like a friend coming in, they are wonderful.

After spending over $53 I has a worse experience of an Asian dinner Antique Asian Star restaurants. For starters the egg rolls were miniature pre manufactured and terrible tastings eggs rolls. Beef and broccoli, fried rice, lo mein and orange chicken were all horrible. Dont expect to get the size portion you paid for

dont know what these people are complaining about. best chinese in area thats not a buffet. Tsos was bbq e if thats a word, but was the best i ever had. pork fried rice was amazing, egg rolls great, crab rangoon fantastic. jut found this place, will be eating there weekly, if not daily. highly recommended

Not only do you get a great variety of Chinese but also Thai and Japanese food the service is great portions are huge prices are fair....overall best Asian restaurant Ive ever had...would recommend to everyone I know and one big recommendation try something different I guarantee youll love it

I have been to China, and this is the closest you will get to real Chinese food in the southtowns. Consistently quality food and a very diverse menu (they even have Japanese and Thai if you want to mix it up). Skip the crappy buffets and come her for real Asian food.

Possibly one of the best Chinese restaurants Ive ever been in. The staff is always friendly, the food always hot and delicious. Also the added bonus of having Thai, Japanese and other oriental style dishes makes it one of my favorite places to enjoy a meal.

Best Sesame chicken anywhere hands down!!! I always go there for a meal when I am in town. I also recommend the broccoli with garlic sauce, I followed these chefs from their previous restaurant and have always been happy!

Best Asian Menu around. They offer Japanese, Thai, and others in addition to the normal Chinese options. Food always tastes fresh and of the highest quality. I wont go anywhere else for Chinese food.
