In one word - "NOTHING GOOD". I was there for dinner and ordered some to-go food. The food I had at the restaurant was the worst Indian food I ever had in my life, the only reason I still took the to-go was I placed the order and I did not want to reject it after having it ready. A clear difference between veg biryani and chicken biryani was few rubber like pieces in chicken biryani(figured out they were chicken pieces). About the owner - My dine-in and to-go was about $80 and he added a 20% tip to the bill. Let me make this clear - who in this world would charge tip for 1 persons dine-in bill? I told the waiter not to include the tip in my credit card and I was going to pay him cash separably. I was listening to the owner when he was swiping the card and telling the waiter that he was running the business for 30 years and he would charge it to the card. I walked to the owner after I saw the receipt which had the 20% included in it, he would just repeat the same sentence again and again that he was running that business for 30 years and no one questioned him. The worst part comes here, he said he would include the tip only for Indian customers as he believes Indians are the ones who do not pay good tips. He would not even let me talk when I was trying to say something. He even questioned me how much I would have paid in tip if he did not charge my card - who the hell in this world would ask you to pay a mandatory tip for a party of less than 4? and he was asking how much I would pay - why would some one ask you how much tip you were going to pay. Tip is something that is paid based on the service you receive not because you have to pay the employees salary out of it. Why would someone add gratuity to the to-go bill - "SERIOUSLY". This is my first time writing a negative review, stay away from this food and the people who run this place.

I was stupid who did pay attention to the previous review that it was bit pricey. But it is double the price that you normally get from an Indian Restaurant. I am willing to pay a price for a good Indian food but this is not worth for reasons that I have noticed. 1. They overcook and this is mainly due to the fact they serve their lunch buffet left over food with lot of spices and overcooked to hide that it was indeed a stale food. Normally, you will not get this type of food from American restaurants but Indian restaurants are notorious to serve stale food and poor Americans not knowing the difference like that food very much. 2. I ordered eggplant dish and he came with the dish in 5 minutes and it was obvious that it was their left over food from lunch buffet that they serve 3. I asked for a Nan without butter but he came with a Nan telling that it has little bit of vegetable oil. He was not willing to give me a Nan without oil or butter. For this rubbish dish and Nan, I paid $22. If you are a person of Indian descent looking for a good Indian food, this is not a restaurant for you. For my American friends, you will like the food because you do not have a sense of distinguishing between a freshly cooked food and a stale food mixed with spices. All qualities of a bad food can be hidden by spicing it up with great Indian spices and this is what they do.

I love good Indian food and this is the closest place to me. Its been here as long as I can remember and for years was the only Indian restaurant in the area. The food here is a little spotty with some days the nan burned to a crisp and others where it is the best I have ever had. Overall the food is average and possibly good, the prices are somewhat high and the menu a little limited. Some of the newer restaurants in the area (one in Nanuet is OUTSTANDING) have more of an updated menu including such sidewalk favorites as Papri Chat and other cold and healthy apps and I wish Priya would add some new things to the menu. If you are craving Indian and cant travel an extra 15 minutes then this is a good place to get your fix but is showing its age when it comes to menu choices and quality of food. The prices could use some help also as it is the most expensive in the area.

Lousy food. We tried the aloo gobhi and that was tasteless. The daal makhni was pathetic too. The Chicken do pyazza was way too oniony therefore average. The only thing i liked was the Chicken Korma. The paneer pakora were awfull..........never seen such hard paneer . We threw away most of the food. The naan were too thick. But we returned another day to order the Chicken Korma. Me and my husband are Indians from Delhi living in the U.S and we love Indian food. This was below average for our fussy tastes.

This is THE BEST Indian restaurant I have ever been to. The food was delicious, well prepared and spiced to excellence. The service was very kind and curteous. When I took the leftover food home, they boxed it for me AND added more rice so that I can have it with the leftover sauce I had. Very nice gesture. Whoever said they never had garlic on their naan are dreaming - there are many kinds of naan, garlic being very common. This place is awesome, will definitely be back!

Worst taste, Overpriced, stale, over-oily and horrible ingredients. I tried this restaurant twice to give it a benefit of doubt and both the experiences were horrible for me and my friends. The simple things like Onion Pakora and Samosa taste horrible and oily for no reason. We tasted a bite and threw rest of it. The menu is overpriced top to bottom. I will never go there, even if I live in 5 miles distance from it, I will drive 1 hour to find good Indian food.

The worst Indian food Ive ever encountered in my life. Stale rice and they give me rancid Tamarind sauce. One of my co-workers got immediately sick and I dont know If Im going to make it through the day. Horrible service to boot. One of the worst food decisions Ive ever made. Ended up throwing all the food out. Someone needs to call the health department and then pray that earth opens up & swallows the building. Maybe salt the earth afterward

Great food! So flavorful. Great service.. Just a little awkward-- the server stared at us while we ate to see how we liked it, and didnt leave until we gave him a "wow" reaction. Also, we ordered sorbet (wayyy too sweet), he brought it out before we were finished eating and insisted we try it and waited there until we did. He was very kind, but it was borderline uncomfortable being watched while we ate.

Google says they have a lunch buffet and their website says that they have a lunch menu as well. I get there at 12:30 during the week and the place was empty. They then say they dont have lunch specials and the buffet "is for parties only." Their website clearly lies and the two staff members were rude to us when we said that we would come back during dinner some time instead.
