I was VERY disappointed with the appearance of my cake. While I trusted their decorating style, I gave very specific details of what I was looking for and they did not deliver. After detailing the types of colors we like, and specifically asking for a "shabby-chic" style, I was surprised to see an all-white cake with "funeral" flowers all over it. It was our wedding anniversary and we had no choice but to display the cake at the party all while our guests asked if it was our "grandmothers cake". To make matters worse, my husbands name was spelled wrong and they left smudges of frosting where they attempted to "correct" it. The writing was "skinny" and should have been more bold/robust for the type/size of cake. in my request I asked that our names be placed somewhere on the cake and youd think they would have written "name" & (or) and "name". Not so much - just our first names were written on the cake with no connecting words or characters. It looked like one name - a first name and lastname. I was so upset that it really took away from our event. The cake was to be the focal point and, unfortunately, everyone focused on how much the cake did not match my and my husbands style. The saving grace is that the cake resembled the intended flavors. If anyone wants to see a picture, Im happy to share it. Its pitiful. I pasted the section of the email below where I detailed what I wanted: As for decorations, our tastes are very "rustic"/shabby chic. We like different shades of white, pinks, green, browns, and muted tones. We have no decoration requests and will trust your judgment! We would like writing on the cake however. If our first names (XXXXXX, XXXXXX), and the number 15 (to indicate our 15th anniversary), could be placed somewhere on the cake that would be great.

Im writing this review after just picking up a dozen mini vegan funfetti cookies which are crazy good, and Im not even vegan. Not even a little bit. I really like this place. I read all of the negative reviews and didnt agree with any of them. A lot said negative things about the staff and that seemed so odd to me. Staff always greets me with a smile and chats me up, I feel super welcomed thats why I keep coming back. One employee smooth talked me into buying a dozen cookies, I didnt plan on that at all but Im not mad at it. As for the goods.... Ive had their carrot cake cupcake, traditional/GF chocolate chip cookies, and vegan funfetti cookies and have not been disappointed. Ive only tried a limited number of desserts from here but judging by what I have eaten Im sure everything else will be good too. The Carrot cake was a perfect texture and had a vanilla frosting (I was disappointed in there being no cream cheese frosting but the polite and helpful attendant explained that their display case was not refrigerated so they obviously could not stock cream cheese frosting but explained I could have that custom ordered). Very pleased with this place Ive already recommended it to plenty of people and will continue to do so. If I had to complain or critique Id say the front door is a little old but thats all I can come up with. Ill be back

You guys are the worst. I am so unhappy with everything for my God damn wedding, you do not return my calls as I had asked. I will never use this little kid bakery for anything and will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. JENNIFER SUCKS.... PERIOD, YOU ARE THE BIGGEST IDIOT I WASTED 25 MINUTES OF MY DAMN TIME DRIVING DOWN THERE TO JUST HAVE YOU TELL ME THAT SCRATCH IS CLOSED THE TWO WEEKS WE WANTED TO HAVE YOU DO OUR WEDDING SHOWER..... I EVEN TOLD JENNIFER WHEN OUR SHOWER IS. WE WASTED OUR TIME AND YOU GUYS SUCK. I AM STILL OUT $135 AFTER MY DEPOSIT, I AM FURIOUS... JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE A BUSINESS YOU CERTAINLY DO NOT PUT IT OUR CUSTOMERS FIRST. I DONT CARE JENNIFER IS YOUR BAKE SHOP GIRL SHE SUCKS!!!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS? I AM NOT DONE AND EXPECT MY MONEY BACK, THERE WAS NO CONTRACT. WE HAVE CLOSE TO GO WITH OUR CATERER INSTEAD SINCE YOU GUYS ARE INCOMPETENT I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LITTLE GIRL HIPSTER BAKERY. Beautiful decorating, impeccable Instagram account, awful tasting food. I was so excited to visit this bakery and try their (overpriced) baked goods thinking it would be worth the $2 Macaroons and almost $3 cookies. To my surprise, the vanilla bean macaroon tasted like what I can only describe as moldy Twinkies and sunscreen. Not only did I think so, but my friends whom also bought the vanilla macaroons agreed. If that werent enough for me to instantly get online and unlike their Instagram account, the sugar cookies were hard and tasteless (minus a weird aftertaste similar to the sunscreen flavor previously mentioned). I am very disappointed overall and do not normally go online to write reviews, but my high expectations were ruined. If you want food that tastes bad, looks nice and is overpriced, I suppose this is the place for you.

My coworkers and I decided to visit after being obsessed with their Instagram for a while now. Unfortunately not only did they not live up to their hype, it was also some of the worst baked goods Ive had. The vanilla macaroons tasted like blue cheese, and all of our stomachs have been feeling off since. I wouldnt have been so disappointed if it wasnt on the expensive side. The other ones were okay but I was so grossed out by the original macaroon it was hard to enjoy. Another aspect of our visit that was kind of dissapointing was their customer service. The three of us were the only ones there at the time and it took us around 15 minutes to get our baked goods and pay. We didnt really feel welcome - we felt more like an inconvenience or an interruption to their day.

I cant say how the food tasted because I was not allowed to purchase anything. Even though the front door was opened I made the mistake of walking in at exactly 11:55 a.m. It probably would have taken me five minutes to decide what I wanted anyways, but the little blonde behind the counter wasnt interested in my money. Nope. She wanted me to go stand outside for five minutes and come back in. Whatever. Wont be back. I worked at a bakery for 3 years. We never unlocked the door until we were ready to open. Thats just common sense.

My husband and I compared vegan cupcakes from Scratch and Get Caked. While neither were great, in our opinion, Get Caked was a bit better. The Scratch cupcakes looked really terrific and had more icing. However, the icing was fatty and on the greasy side. The cake portion from Scratch was very dense and dry. Get Caked cupcake: icing could have used more in proportion to the cake, cake a little dense but moister than that of Scratch. All in all, I think every homemade vegan cupcake Ive ever had beat both of these bakeries hands down!

Their cookies are really good, havent tried anything else yet, but I will when I go back! They also do custom cake orders but they do need at least 7 days to prepare a order, but if your in a rush for a cake they do have different types of cakes made in there case. They also have different kinds of cookies varying on what they made that week. They have a pretty decent selection in macaroons, cakes, brownies, cookies, and cupcakes. They also do weddings.
