Worst service you can find. Called late afternoon and asked for a reservation for tonight, receptionist said sure no problem and made a reservation for 630. Showed up at 630 and the receptionist says"we dont take reservations we only take call ahead seating requests" that what you made when you called. After some debate as to whether she knows what the word reservation means and the difference between what we were told and what they were delivering, it became clear she was in over her head as a hostess. She also had no logical explanation as to why other people were showing up with reservations and being seated by her immediately and we were not. We asked about how long a wait for our bait and switch reservation would be and she said 15 minutes. In the 45 minutes that we sat waiting at the empty bar for a table we saw at least 6 other parties of all sizes including a party of 10 get seated while 2 of us sat watching and waiting.Eventually and only after another complaint about getting a seat for 2, they opened up a table next to the bar area that had been sitting empty the entire time for us to sit. Once seated they brought out what appeared to be a bar menu, not the full dinner menu that their website menu shows which contained at least 20-30 more items on it than what was being offered on the menu they gave us. More bait and switch. Once seated we didnt get a member of the wait staff, we got who appeared to be the manager to wait on us. Clearly he had no experience waiting tables as he was completely lost as to simple things people may want when they come for dinner like silverware, plates, and water. We ordered an appetizer and dinner all at once, and the crab cakes appetizer took 30 minutes to make its way out to us. Somewhere in between our appetizer and the eternity it took for our meals to come out afterwards, the couple in the booth next to us got up and left without leaving a tip. The wait staff was overheard trying to figure out why and they realized that the couple had never been checked on or given a menu and only had their drinks that they got from the bar on the way in. This couple was one of the groups seated right away while we were waiting for our non existent reservation, so they had been sitting for about an hour when they finally gave up. The food was good once it finally arrived, but one of the meals wasnt correct when it came out, meaning they got half the order wrong. So to sum it up for you if you like being lied to and then taken advantage of and treated like you are stupid and a 16 year old girl playing a hostess is absolutely incapable of a mistake or unwilling to fix a problem she created, then having dinner for 2 take just over 2 hours, then this is the place for you. If not then I would suggest any other restaurant immediately adjacent to or across the street from this one including Wendys or McDonalds. Youve been warned.

We dined at Brio with friends and had a very nice meal. The surroundings and atmosphere are terrific. Theres a nice looking well-stocked bar with a good beer selection, a grand piano nearby, and a beautiful dining area with a fireplace, booths, banquet room....its really a nice environment inside, plus offers lots of outdoor seating. The downside is the high cost and relatively poor value. Prices were high enough that we felt a little gouged. We dont dine out to save money, and dont generally like to fret much about prices, but were disappointed to see such high prices for entres that dont include any sides. Its hard not to feel a little taken advantage of. $28 for a moderate size rib-eye steak with french fries is steep considering theres no salad or vegetables. A side salad adds $6. Id rather have had garlic mashed potatoes than French fries too, but there are no such options. Others in our party had the salmon and the linguini dishes. The food was very good, and we were all happy with our meals. The artichoke appetizer was excellent, and even seemed like a reasonable value at $8. Service was decent, but not great for a restaurant in this price range. Similar to another review, our waiter also forgot to serve bread. It was brought late at our request, but was disappointing. Brio has a lot to offer and enormous potential, but it doesnt seem as though theyve got a handle on quite every aspect of the dining experience. Its funny how people expect a premium experience when the pay premium prices. Brio gets close, but has several improvement opportunities.

Was there on Saturday evening as a guest in a party of 5. A reservation had been made earlier in the day via a phone message. When we arrived, we were told "Oh, we didnt check the voice mail. Sorry. And we dont really open until 4:00pm." Really? And what good would a 6:00pm reservation had been if it had been made at 4:00pm? The place was packed. So we were offered a free round of drinks sitting at the bar. We were finally seated around a half hour later. That was enough to cancel the bad taste about how we were received at the door. However, we had more fails in store. We ordered our food. It took well over an hour to arrive and we had to ask what the delay was about. The waitperson was overwhelmed by the crowd. Though we were engaged in pleasant conversation, the level of noise between patrons and the live music made even that an ongoing challenge. So the "food" finally made it to the table. I have had better diner food both as to quality and presentation. Oh, and did I say then mahi mahi dish was cold? After a few complaints, the waitperson -- not management -- offered a round of drinks which we declined, but did deduct a few meals from the tab. As we were leaving, a frustrated patron at the adjacent table was just getting up to inquire about the long wait for their meals and I informed him of our experience, much to their chagrin. Hey Pomodoro, if you cant accommodate your patrons kindly tell them so at the door unless you are just engaged in a desperate money grab because you are obviously an organization in big trouble.

My wife and I stumbled across this romantic looking restaurant on a night out. It seemed like a nice quiet place to enjoy a romantic dinner. She ordered the tomato and mozzarella Caprese salad ($13.00) and I ordered the 16 ounce black angus steak ($30.00). Although her salad was good, we both felt that it was severely overpriced considering it was composed of one tomato and 4 slices of mozzarella. Now...about my steak. I have eaten at many restaurants in the Rochester area and I would have to say that this steak was probably the worst I have ever had. So bad that it motivated me to come home and write my first restaurant review. The cut, quality, and texture of the meat was poor at best and it literally could have been mistaken for a pork steak. The "steamed" vegetables were sloppily plated and the ends of the snow peas were browned and chewy. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars was because the service was OK. Save your the money.
