I would like to complain about the manager/owner, well he said he was the owner of the Manassas, VA location. I am 8 months pregnant and went into Glory Days on January 3, 2010 at about 9:00 pm. When we walked in it was a little crowded due to the fact of the Football games going on. When we walked in the Host greeted us and asked how many and gave us a pager, my husband asked if the bar area was still first some first serve since I cant stand up for long periods of time and the couches in the waiting area were completely full there was no place for me to sit. The host said "Yea if you can find a table you can have it" well after about 7-10 minutes a couple were getting ready to leave a table in the bar area and asked me if I wanted to sit since I looked like I needed to sit down, I of course said yes. My husband went back to the Host and handed him the pager and said we had found a seat and the host said OK Thank You for letting me know. After about 25 minutes of no one waiting on us he went up to the bar and orders us some sodas, after about 10 minutes some very RUDE waitress (Brown curley hair about mid back length and about 200lbs) came up to me and told me I had to move because there were people waiting. I told her the host told us we could sit in the bar area if we found a table available, I then told her I was almost 8 months pregnant and Im not going to stand around again. She said very nasty "Well we will see about THAT!" She then went and got the "Manager" He had somewhat of a shaved head and is about 59. He came up to me and said that I had to move, I then informed him of what the host had told us and that it was not my fault that his host was misinformed that this area is no longer first some first serve and I then told him that I have very bad black out spells when I stand up for periods of time and where would I sit, and he then said "Well its not his problem that his employees had lied to me and it is also not his problem that I was pregnant, had black out spells, and there was no place to sit, I could go and sit outside until the pager went off!" I then said its about 5 below outside right now and he came back and said he did not care that I could go somewhere else if I wanted to. By this time I counted 9 empty tables that had been sitting around empty and cleaned off for 10 minutes so obviously they had tables to seat the "other customers that had been supposedly waiting" well he told me that I can either leave or he can call the cops and have them physically remove me which would be totally embarrassing for ME! so I got up and stood there and the table next to that had heard everything and let me sit in one of their empty chairs they had at their table. THAT table that we were FORCED to move from stayed OPEN and EMPTY for 15 minutes!! SO Obviously it was NOT THAT Important for us to move!!! I just could not believe I was forced to get out of my seat adn told to go and sit outside if I had to sit down somewhere! Where has peoples respect gone to? No Customer had complained about us sitting there so what was the big deal?!!

Its hard to find sports bars that arent either too sketchy to bring kids to or too stuffy and formal to bring kids to, but I feel totally comfortable bringing my family to this restaurant. Glory Days is a clean, safe, respectable establishment. Its often lively and busy, but never rowdy. The food is excellent. Try something random on the seasonal menu. They always have something unusual (like balsamic bacon brussel sprouts) and its often surprisingly good. Tonight in particular, we had an amazing server. I never ask for servers names, but I did ask for hers (Rachael). We have a 7-month-old baby. Its so hard to go out to eat with babies, but the server went well out of her way to accommodate her littlest guest. She brought a spoon for the baby to eat and took the initiative to have it double-sterilized. Her positive attitude and attention to detail made for an overall spectacular evening!

After reading some of the responses, especially the mal treatment of a pregnant woman, Ill share my experience. The food was good, wait staff were fine and it was a nice dinner. It wasnt that busy given Tuesday night. You save $2 bucks on Tacos Tuesday night special. Wings are still as I expected it. I guess it depends on the people working there. I really felt bad hearing of a pregnant lady and while I know pregnant ladys tend to feel entitled - they should be. Theyre mothers and mothers can do no wrong. I am a guy and I see a pregnant lady as the future and hope of the world. So I hope that idiot manager she talked about is no longer working there. Surprised nobody picked a fight with him. Its a neighborhood bar and people there know each other and are not the kind of scum this manager represent. Busy or not, we can all be civil.

Great place. Good food and friendly staff except for a few servers who didnt want to serve a mom and child well you know usual stereotyped as loe tippers but he was wrong...I used to work in food svc and tip very high. Too loud for families comparing it to tonys pizza really lol its a sports bar sorry and a lot better than buffalo wild wings. As for the pregnant lady it sounds like you wanted special treatment. Please understand I was pregnant before also but thats when you stay home at 8 months. Reminds me of those moms taking toddlers to movies. Hello...you are having a child...move on from the bar scene and ho out to eat during nonpeak hours or do take out. Plenty of people out there disabled or elderly etc that cannot stand or wait for long periods of time. Learn to make changes instead of blaming this great establishment.

I would give this place 5 stars because I love the Glory flavored wings my husband and I always get. If ordering to-go we do the 48 glory wings bone in to keep us set for the week. However, calling in a to go order last night some gentleman answered the phone and only said hello, nothing else in an annoyed tone. After the hello, it was followed by "someone called glory days three times in a row" (he was complaining) .... and I wanted to say, "no, that was me who called once but no one was answering for a good five minutes until you decided to finally pick up the phone." All I asked was to be transferred to the to-go order girl, who was very sweet, compared to the guy I spoke to before. I just cant believe someone would answer the phone like that at a business, very unprofessional.

A kid friendly sports bar...awesome for dads and moms. We are fairly regular diners. The burgers are always good, the salmon is just ok but its a sports bar. The staff is invariably friendly. The wait staff is mostly good. There has been a time or two when the service wasnt that quick but that has been rare. They usually have face painting or some other kids activity on Wednesdays. Nickelodeon or the Cartoon network is always on somewhere for the toddlers. The Mrs and I can then catch the Caps, the Skins or the Buckeyes while enjoying a cold beer and a decent meal. Good place.
