Kenny G was awesome. The staff however was very rude. After paying 800 dollars total that night we waited to get our CDs signed. The manager of the Blue Note was standing along side Kenny G telling people to hurry in a very rude manor as Kenny G was signing CDs. Even the artist was distracted by the managers sense of urgency to herd us out of the place. I couldnt even say a word to the artist because the manger and the waiting staff were yelling at everyone in line. Theres different ways to keep a line moving besides arguing with paying customers as they wait to meet the artist and have a CD signed. I love the atmosphere at this place, but the staff could use a lesson in good customer service. I know its very busy especially with artists like this, but the staff should not argue with customers who pay big money for dinner and a CD signing. The crowd attending this performance was a older and not rowdy by any means. The harsh language and rude gestures by the manager were very uncalled for. At least the cook and bartender had some talent.

High quality Mexican food in the financial district. Initially, I hesitated on visiting this place because its name seemed kind of tacky, but Im glad I did - their food is delicious. Its some of the best Mexican food in Manhattan and serves generous portions. Their guacamole is required. They give you a choice of spiciness, but honestly, even their spicy is barely noticeable. The rest of their menu is stellar. Ive had the quesadillas, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, and their steak and shrimp entrees. I recommend all of them. Cocktails are tasty but not that strong. The only disappointment is the rice and beans; theyre OK but more of a filler than anything else. Service is good, but it can sometimes be a bit of a wait outside. The only downside is their outside space. Its smaller than the others on Stone Street, and it is under a ugly orange canopy that definitely ruins the mood on a sunny day. If youre a party of two, you can try grabbing the tables on the sidewalk that dont have a canopy - those are quite nice.

Got in at a little before 5 and seated right away. Menu looked good, hostess was good. Asked the waitress for a minute to order drinks and a meal, she came back 27 minutes later at 5:27. We were the only people on the second floor when we got in and almost every table had their food by time we were asked to order. Came here for my birthday dinner with a friend who recommended it. Definitely the worst service I have ever got at a Mexican Restaurant. The wait staff was standing by the second floor bar area just talking, for over 25 minutes! This ruined my birthday plans. I would recommend the staff learn to not talk for 25 minutes straight while people are just waiting on waters, drinks, appetizers and food. Couldve spent a lot of money here on maragaritas and food- instead we walked to the Pizza Bar across the street and ordered and had food within 15 minutes. Not the Mexican I wanted for my business but mad dog clearly didnt want our business on my birthday.

Went here for lunch on a week day. When we went the place was half full. Absolutely cold service. No greetings/smiles what so ever. A robot could have done a better job. We ordered a mojito, guac, tacos and chicken fajitas. Mojito - No alcohol. Simple syrup and lime juice may be. Guac - Very good Tacos - Avg The server was very rude. When picking up plates, they dropped guac on my shirt leaving a huge stain. He did not even care to see that or say sorry. I understand everyone makes mistakes. But see that and say that. The waitress saw that they dropped guac on my shirt and she did not even care to utter a word! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! So for a $35 lunch check I get Mojito without alcohol, avg tacos and a HUGE stain on my nice shirt. I am always on the side of servers when they some mishap happens. But the fact that they remained silent even after seeing what happened was the absolute worst. I am never going back.

Great margaritas (severlely overpriced) and the service was HORRIBLE. First our appetizers came out before the drinks were served when we complained they said too bad. Then our waiter switched with another waitress and never told us so it was weird. Next when the bill came we paid half cash half credit card and the waitress kept the cash and charged it all to my credit card. Then charged me again, so I had two charges on my card. I didnt notice until the next day when I did my online banking and called up to speak to the manager. Instead some a-hole answered the phone and kept screaming at me and hanging up like a child. Finally after four phone calls I got through to the owner who pretended he didnt know who was picking up the phone at his own establishment. These people seriously lack hospitality and by the way its an Irish family that runs this place so how authentic can the mexican food be anyway.

it was just ok...the outdoor seating was nice but the servers were pretty inattentive. I ordered the Mad dog salad with shrimp, my friend ordered the shrimp papaya salad. we both got drinks and guac. Here Is the rundown: -I ordered shrimp on my salad, they brought chicken. Four sad little shrimp for an extra $8. -My friends had to request the dressing the was supposed to come with her salad..it took about 15 minutes to arrive. -I found an unknown object in my salad, at first I thought it was a chewed olive pit..but on closer inspection it looked like a teeny pine cone. -I ordered an Elderflower Margarita and got a plain one. - When asking for more salsa for the complimentary chips, I was told it was a $5 charge. guys...come ON. PS You got three stars instead of two because someone came out and gave an adorable corgi a bowl of water.

We have visited this FiDi Tex-Mex twice. The quality of the food is quite good, but the prices are very high (burritos are $15, tacos are 4 for $18, Margaritas are $10-12 and Guacamole apps are $12). I recently hosted a lunch there for my employees and was embarrassed to be asked to vacate our table after paying our check but before everyone had finished their drinks and meals. When I questioned the hostess, she indicated that the table was reserved for another party. However, I saw no other guest waiting for a table and four other tables our size also finishing their meals. The only difference I observed was that the other tables had ordered far more alcohol than had our table. After spending $239 for lunch for six people, I did not think I should be embarrassed in front of my guests by being asked to vacate the table.

I came to this place for dinner last week, it was busy, and the hostess found a table for us in no time. Sadly, our server was completely rude, and in a rush. Im giving two starts just because the atmosphere was great, and the food was ok. but the server made us feel so uncomfortable. The management should keep an eye on their personal presentation, and their attitude towards the costumers. We didnt get to keep our bill copy, otherwise I would be more than happy to write her name. She is a 5,5 feet, bug-eyed, brunette, rubenesque, big bags under her eyes. I wont be coming back.
