AT LUNCHTIME ON WEEKDAYS THERE ARE ALWAYS A FEW CUSTOMERS DINING IN, & SEVERAL COME & GO WITH TAKEOUT ORDERS. THEY HAVE A SPECTACULAR $13 LUNCH SPECIAL WITH SEVERAL YUMMY ITEMS TO CHOOSE FROM. ALL $13 MEALS COME WITH A GREEK SALAD, & A CHOICE OF POTATO/RICE!! A VERY GOOD PORTION, ESPECIALLY FOR $13! I USUALLY GET THE BAKED OYSTERS-DELICIOUS! I ALSO ENJOY THE SHRIMP & SCALLOPS LUNCH SPECIAL-EXQUUSITE! I CAN NEVER FINISH BCUZ IM ALWAYS FULL AFTER THE BREAD, SALAD & MAYBE AN APPETIZER. I USUALLY TAKE A DOGGY BAG! I ALSO LOVE THE FRIED SHRIMP & THE GREEK COMBO. THE SHRIMP CEVICHE IS DEEEE-LICIOUS! THE SERVICE IS HIT OR MISS. ALSO, FOR DESSERT GET THE "ALAK-DE-BOOTY-CALL" I DONT KNOW HOW TO SPELL IT, BUT THATS HOW YOU PRONOUNCE IT. A SWEET, LIGHT PASTRY-TYPE DESSERT.

Total groupon trap. They jack up their prices to make you think youre getting a bargain, which wouldnt be that big of a deal if the food was any good, but they cut corners pretty much anywhere they can. Our meal came with two lobsters, two sides, salad and a glass of wine. The salad was pretty much raw onion and iceberg lettuce cut as close to the root as possible abd drenched in oil. The side (a baked potato) was dry and came with a slab of butter. The lobster was so terribly cooked and such poor quality that the claws were stingy and tasteless. The wine was equally as disappointing. The icing on the cake? The meal was listed as $108. We paid $49 and I still felt ripped off. There is some really tremendous food in Astoria. I highly recommend you stay away from this scam and try out some of Astorias real restaurants like locale, taverna klycades, il bambino, pachanga paterson, etc. etc.

The mixed seafood soup tasted good and it was only $ 6. My family ordered a few orders of the filet of sole at $18 each. But when they handed us the bill, it was surprisingly higher than we had calculated. When my father and I were trying to read the bill and what had cost what, the waitress kept rushing us and literally took the bill from my hands without asking if I was ready. When we got up to leave, my father left the 15% tip (because he is a strong advocated for tipping even if the service is not that good) and she picked it up so quick. As we were stepping out of the place, my mom calculated they had charged us $25 extra! They hadnt told us the tip was already generously included and she took the extra money too.

We have a Groupon for lobster dinner for two. I was pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere of the restaurant. It is elegant and spacious. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. They gave you freshly baked garlic bread to start your meal. It is crunchy, buttery and garlicky! We both had their shrimp bisque to start. It is very creamy and has a lot of shrimp. For entree, we each had a lobster grilled in garlic and olive oil. It is very fresh and seasoned well. For the sides, I highly recommend their lemon potato. Overall, it is a solid Greek restaurant with fresh seafood. The service is pleasant and atmosphere is elegant. The price is also very reasonable. I would definitely come back!

The servers here r terrible. You wait forever for everthing. Everytime I have been here I have waited 15-20 mins for the server to come to the table and then its takes forever for the waiting to bring your drinks, food, check. Its even hard to get their attention while your eating. Every time Ive been here I have had a diff waiter. They r all slow. And the food is soooo mediocre. You can go to a million other restaurants and get way better food. I really cant understand y they charge so much for bad service n borderline bad food. Anyone who likes this place has never had a decent seafood meal ever in their life....plain n simple...

They took forever to bring me my food. Then it was cold. I had trouble getting the waitress attention. Then she reheated my food. I rejected it, saying that she didnt ask me what I wanted. I asked for a fresh entree. She brought me out another non-technical entree. I rejected it saying I asked for a fresh entrees. She started a fight with me. I offered her advice on how I would have handled it and she argued with me. Plus the waitresses are fat ugly and rude. Apparently this is a family owned business and they dont care about their customers.

DONT plan to have your reservation honored here. We waited over an hour past our reservation time and watched the hostess pull two parties who arrived after us for seating before she came to say she only had the table behind us to offer us...where a family had just been seated when we arrived ten minutes prior to our reservation. Dont put a reservation system in place if you have no plans to or dont know how to put it into practice. Couldnt tell you if the food is good, but the people who run the place have no idea what theyre doing.

2 Weeeks ago, my husband and I bought both Groupon deals, 2 lobsters, 2 sides, 2 drinks and 2 dozen oysters, 2 drinks. The food was delicious, the oysters were the biggest I have ever seen. The lobster was split and baked with herbs and seasonings, mmmm. The waitress Alika (hope I spelled her name right) was amazing, she recommended the grilled octopus, which was to die for, she also tied our bibs. I will be returning with friends this Friday again. I will be a regular customer from now on. Even without Groupon.

Bought a Groupon which included 2 baked lobsters, 2 sides and 2 glasses of wine for $38. My wife and I went here for date night and the service was very friendly (waitress even helped me tie on my bib) and efficiently fast. They even gave us a small dessert on the house! The lobster was baked perfectly along with butter and garlic...very tender meat as well. The lemon potatoes were delicious as well. Even their house garlic bread was addicting. They have coupon deals all the time so we will be back.

Oysters on the half shell were reasonably priced, fresh, & the meatiest Ive had in years. Calamari well cooked, lightly battered. Salads were conventional but perfectly pleasant. The steamed lobsters were a little small, but cooked perfectly. Dishes at other tables looked excellent. The small restaurant was busy for a Wednesday evening and could have benefited from more wait staff than 2 waitresses and one busboy, but they all hurried about their work and the wait wasnt unpleasant

I looove this place.. Been here 2 times recently and I cant believe I didnt come here in the past. Where do I begin?? Octopus.. The best! Cant remember ever having better anywhere else. Stuffed shrimp!!! With REAL crab meat.. Not that fake crap every one uses.. Puts kyklathes in astoria to shame.. So far my gfriend ND I have tried 4 different appetizers and 4 diff entrees in our 2 visits.. And every dish was 5 star.. Staff is super nice.. And fast.. Perfect service perfect food

Very bad service. Our table was waiting for an hour To get our fish. We came two couples to the restaurant was not full. Waiters absolutely rude instead to say sorry The over talk you and with big attitude. As well as they violating The law and they including gratuities into the bill Gratuities cannot be added to the bill with out guest Aproval I will never go there again.
